Is It Worth It To Move To Pennsylvania Will I Still Have To Be A Nurse

Can I work as a male nurse in Japan?

I have a friend who is a nurse (female) and another one who is a Doctor (Japanese male) and they tell me there are definitely male nurses working in Japan.

However your problem would be foreign nurses that are currently allowed into Japan are from Indonesia and the Philippines (in very very limited numbers), there is no sex requirement in it, however due to it's profession most of them have been women. However, in a recent NHK program I was watching on the importing of foreign nurses, some of the Indonesians who were in training were men.
The visa limits are also fixed at maximum 7 years they can work in Japan. However recent changes may lift this requirement. Most of these nurses also work in the elderly health care sector where they are needed the most.

But any case, you don't seem to fit the profile of any of it, so I'm sorry to say that the answer would be no.

Note that Japan is currently considering allowing more countries to participate in the foreign nurses program, especially since Japan faces a future with a large number of elderly people. So if you want to become a nurse, become a nurse where you are (if you are in the US, nurses are in demand in many places). Then who knows in a few years they might change the law to allow even more foreign nurses to enter Japan.

Nurses: Would you move to California, Texas, or New Jersey for a job?

Texas!Texas has no state income tax.Gasoline prices are low.Housing prices are low in comparison to New Jersey or California. For about $300,000, you can get a gorgeous single family home over 2000 square feet, in a quiet, low crime suburb with a large fenced yard, an in-ground pool and spa, a covered lanai with an outdoor kitchen and seating and a good school district. In the “North Texas" region, basically the Dallas-Ft. Worth metro areas and east and west of it, we have very short periods of freezing temperatures in the winter and no deep snow. Summers are hot, but we have plenty of air conditioning in all houses, restaurants, public transportation, etc. The spring and fall seasons are long with good weather for enjoying the outdoors, so it makes up for the really hot part of the summer in Juky and August. Even without a pool heater, some years one can swim right through October outdoors. Peak wildflower season is early around March, so the real “cold" is typically finished in February.DFW Airport has direct flights to other major US airports and to many international cities including Sydney, London, Paris and Madrid. We have very reasonably priced direct flights to at least three cities in India as well (Mumbai, New Deli and Hyderabad). We have a number of good hospitals in Dallas alone with opportunities to move around if a nurse decides that he is not in love with the first employer after moving here.

I have a Hawaii state drivers license and visiting Pennsylvania. Can I use that license there?

Of course, due to the 4th Article of the Constitution, States are required to accept each other´s public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings with Full Faith and Credit (meaning as if they were issued by themselves). So, if you get married in Georgia, your marriage is recognized in California just the same. If you get a degree in North Carolina as a Nurse, even if you move to Idaho you will still be recognized as a Nurse there. Likewise, if you have a drivers license issued in Hawaii, it is a valid document to drive a vehicle in any of the other states and territories of the union. In fact, Canada, Mexico and most countries members of the UN (virtually every country in the world) recognize and accept your Hawaii drivers license too, so you can use it to drive anywhere!

How can I transfer a nursing license from PA to Florida?

Go to Florida Board of Nursing and fill out the required information and pay the fee.  You usually have to supply a passport picture as well.  You will get a temp license and within a month have your permanent you.  You will be required to complete 24 hours of continuing education credit every 2 years for your renewal, renewal is 90 dollars.

Australia: Is it worth it for an Indian who is earning more than one lakh to relocate to Australia?

No. At that level of earning - I assume you mean Rs 100,000 a month which is 1,200,000 p.a - it's not financially wise to migrate to Australia or anywhere else for that matter unless you have a plan on how you'll continue to earn at that level. Maybe if you get a job offer here? You are at the top in India would you be willing to take a lesser role here? Do you have reasons other than finances? Australia is of course easier to live in  but the upper middle class income in India probably gives you a few perks like having maids and drivers that you won't likely get here. The equivalent job is likely to be as stressful here. If you haven't already done so take a break from work and visit here see how you go. Do some research on your field of work while you are here and online. However there are good reasons to migrate:- want to start your own business - it's not as corrupt here - children's life experience - this is a bit complicated there are certain advantages to growing up in the developed country but you'll have to consider cultural and family ties. As a single man who sees culture as a constraint I didn't have to think about it YMMV.- Easier life - if you want to not make that much money you have low cost medical care, public schools are very good here. For a middle or lower income Indian, Australia is much better. India is a very competitive place. Maybe you plan to semi-retire? :-)- You found something you really really like here. In the end I moved because I liked it better here. Money and career aren't the most important things in life to me.

Would a move from Pittsburgh PA to Orlando FL be a good one?

Don't decide before you visit. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and I moved here to Orlando going on 3 years ago. My husband was transferred for his job and it took me about a month after moving to get a job for myself.

Personally, I love Florida but I don't like Orlando. My husband and I are moving to Lake Wales, which is between Orlando and Lakeland, basically. But we're in our 30s and are having a baby - so what we are looking for is probably much different from what you are looking for.

Your main transition will be the weather. I always hated the cold, so I was glad to come here even though it does get terribly hot and humid at times. You will learn to dress in layers, though, because it is always freezing indoors with the A/C blasting year round. You can also say goodbye to hills and mountains, because Florida is very flat. There is also no feasible grid system for navigation, because of all the lakes, so having GPS is a good thing. The laws here are no different, but you will have to be more careful while driving. We have some of the most dangerous roads in the US, and because of all the tourists who get lost there are many, many accidents. (And most locals don't use turn signals for some reason.)

On a homey level, I miss Primanti's, Eat n' Park and Sheetz. Those are places we don't have down here. Pittsburgh definitely has more culture and a better art scene, as well as more locally owned and operated restaurants and businesses. And as you probably know UPMC is one of the best hospital systems in the world. If you can get into a program at Pitt, it would be better than coming to Orlando.

As for cost of living, I have found it to be about the same. I know this is not typical, but I make a lot more money here than I did in Pittsburgh. Also there is no state income tax, which helps. Before we had a house, our rent here was $675 and in Pittsburgh it was $650. So for me it was right on par. The only annoying expense was transferring my car's title/tags. It cost about $600 just for the privilege of bringing my car into the state. But as far as groceries and utilities and things, it was not too much higher at all.
