What does it feel like to go from physically unattractive to attractive? What kind of reactions did you get from strangers before and after? How did it change you? Do you now take advantage of your looks?

TL;DRFive years ago, when I was 18.​​[I'm the one on the left.]Two years ago, when I was 21.​​This year.Well, to begin with, I used to be a complete introvert, probably because of my looks. I had little confidence.In spite of being pretty decent in athletics, I lacked the confidence of taking part in the annual athletic events in my school. In fact, I didn't even have the confidence to take part in any (solo) extra-curricular activities in school.Then I went to Bangalore, for my PUC (High schooling).​​Second year (Age - 17)​​[Second from left]During these two years, I lived in a hostel. That allowed me to interact with different kinds of people.And, oh, I was still unattractive, but not as much as I was in my school days, as you can see. Thanks to the fact that most of the boys there were pretty much as ugly as I was. Okay, some of the boys.Being like many of them (in looks), I gained some confidence, and even participated in quite a few extra-curricular activites.Then I returned to Calcutta. I was still an introvert, but had some confidence.​​Thanks to my new friends, especially Aditya (in picture), by the time I was in my second year of college, I started participating in quite a few extra-curricular activities, like dancing, athletics, management ​events, etc.​​​​As of today, I'm still an introvert, but I do have quite some confidence.Attractive or not, I don't really care.Footnote: With great confidence, comes great looks.Edit - 2018I am now a Paragliding Pilot, Scuba Diver, Skier, White Water Rafter, and Surfer. Why are some shows deemed "single camera" when more than one camera is used in production?

The term 'multi-camera' describes a set-up where typically there are multiple cameras shooting simultaneously (typically between three and six), often in front of a studio audience (especially for sketch shows or sit-coms), and where the output of just one of those cameras is selected for recording to tape at any one time. This used to be the norm for television production. It is still used for some comedy shows (such as Big Bang Theory) because the actors and the audience at home benefit from the presence of a studio audience, but it is less flexible, requiring the show to be performed almost as a play - although pauses, retakes and additional, pre-filmed inserts are common.The term 'single-camera' describes a set-up where there is typically one shot of the action being recorded at any one time, requiring the actors to play the action multiple times so that all the necessary angles can be captured. For speed, additional cameras may be used to capture extra angles, but one of the strengths of the single-camera technique is being able to light the set and the performers for the benefit of just one camera at a time, whereas in audience sit-coms and daytime soaps, they generally just have to blast the set with light, resulting in a very flat look.This is an oversimplification. Modern editing techniques allow for more flexibility in a multi-camera environment, but the description above should help you to understand the distinction. Multi-camera = recorded continuously like a play. Single-camera = recorded shot-by-shot like a movie.

What are some good songs to listen to while you're feeling depressed?

I'm not actually a song guy. I'm more like an album guy (I always listen to albums as a whole).Whenever I feel lonely or depressed, I also feel the need to complement it with a little 'angsty' music. So a heavy strumming electric guitar is my bestfriend.Fall Out Boy is my number one. If you just hate everybody and/or yourself, listen to their album Take This to Your Grave. The music is raw and the lyrics are earcandy. For example: 'I've read about the afterlife but I've never really lived', 'I could be an accident but I'm still trying', 'You may hold your breathe until your breathing stops forever'.Their albums From Under The Cork Tree and Folie A Deux are also good when you fell like self-loathing and/or broken. "Joke me something awful just like kisses on the necks of best friends", "I want to be known for my hits not just my misses", "The best part of believe is the 'lie'", "I've got troubled thoughts and a self-esteem to match, what a catch!", "You can only blame your problems on the world for so long for so long before it all becomes the same old song".I may also suggest listening to My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade and Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. Similarly, Paramore's Brand New Eyes.If you're trying to cheer up but don't really feel like listening to upbeat songs, I usually put on Avril Lavigne's The Best Damn Thing and Goodbye Lullaby.Dance/Party songs sometimes do the thing for me.
