What do you think of Miley Cyrus?
As her best friend "Leslie" says in Miley's hit "See You Again": She's just being Miley. All of her current songs point to it as well, she's doing what she wants. This is the way of our generation doing what they want and what makes them happy. She's based. I think people are more upset because they've seen her grow up as a cute little kid and see that this is what she chose for herself. She could've gone any direction but she chose this one and it's not the one people envisioned. I don't like all of her songs, I barely listen to her. But she is a talented artist who works hard. I don't think we have a right to bash her choices since they aren't worse(I think they're better) than the choice to become a Wall Street whore. What she's doing right now is incredible. She's putting herself out there to learn more and experience. I think overall this will help her musical exploration as she learns from different styles. I dislike electronic music a lot, but she's borrowed a ton from there. Right now she's been getting real comfortable with hip hop and rap. Her first transition there isn't great, but the first time I played drums I sucked terribly(still not really that good anyway). The most important part is that she's not defending what she's doing with excuses. She's just being Miley and she seems to be enjoying it. In contrast with Amanda Bynes who was constantly nagged, why aren't you acting anymore when she quit, and was brought down because she didn't want to act but people wanted her to because she was talented. That's a sad story of people pushing someone to the edge of desire until they fall off and lose it a little. That happens and we shouldn't judge it either. I hope Miley continues to be Miley, showing people not only her music but that we should try to be true to ourselves a little more.

Why do some good people change so fast (e.g Miley Cyrus)?
I grew up with a boy who had grown up in a sheltered home. He knew about the world by what the catholic nuns told him, and what he saw in scouts. He was good enough in high school to be liked for his athletic abilities and intelligence.Then he went to college on an ROTC scholarship. He nearly flunked out his freshman year. He was put on academic suspension. The world was a lot different when mom and dad weren’t there to tell you what to do, what to think, not to hang around with so-and-so. Freedom to make your own decisions, especially when nobody else really cared how you decided, is really hard to deal with. Imagine THAT wrapped up in a package of money and fame - where fake and real friends don’t want to get on your bad side.Miley, IMO, needed to shed her Disney persona. She needed to show the world that she wasn’t sweet and innocent. The guy I know bounced back from it… a little too much I think, but Miley didn’t. She decided she liked who she had become…and who is going to tell a rich girl otherwise?

I don't think I have ever heard her sing. But I have heard that she is a smoker. If she started really young, it might have made her voice deeper than it would be. Probably an improvement!

As far as I know, Miley isn't depressed.It was drugs.When Miley went crazy, cut her hair, started twerking and licking weird things, dancing naked in her music videos … it was because she was high. She didn't try hiding it either. She posted pictures on Instagram of some of the drugs she was taking. Mainly, weed.For some reason, no one reached out and got her help.Miley must have gone to rehab in secret or something, though, because she's normal now. She grew her hair out again, released Malibu, and all of a sudden, BAM, she's not crazy anymore. I don't know it happened, but I'm glad.New Miley is much better than weed Miley.
