Is My Back/neck Straight With Pictures

How can i make my neck and back straight?

You are correct when you state that it is because you are shy. Posture is a reflection of our inner self and being shy means that you want to make yourself as small as can be. How can one do that? You shrink as much as possible and there you have the poor posture. First thing that you have to do is to start to think better of yourself!!!! Once you start to do that your posture will start to improve. You are probably a very pretty girl and for some reason just don't think that you are very happy with yourself. Stop thinking that way! As for what you can do for your posture there are a few approaches to that. If your parents have insurance you could see a physical therapist who would evaluate your posture and make a specific set of recommendations for postural improvement. You could try the old walking around the house with a book on your head. Actually that one does work as it forces you to look up and as the head and neck go so does your posture. If you are up to it try Pilate's either in a class or if you are conscious of how you look get a DVD or book on the subject and start that way. It would be better in a class though as the instructor could help fine tune the movements so that you get the best results. Another way to go is to start weight lifting. As a girl, you are probably thinking I am crazy for I don't want big muscles, in reality women don't develop big muscles. In your case it will help to develop the muscles that hold you up and make you more secure about yourself. Again this is an activity that would be best done under the supervision of a person that has expert knowledge. You can also try this movement. Stand against a wall placing your head, shoulders, and lower back flat against the wall. Place your feet about 12 to 18 inches away from the wall. With the head, shoulders, and lower back against the wall start to slide up the wall until you feel the lower back start to come off the wall. Stop at that point and walk off the wall. That is going to be a better posture for you. Try to maintain that posture as you walk around. It will feel awkward at first but with time the muscles will adapt and you can continue to improve your posture. Sit up straight as you can. Remember you are a great person and truly believe in that!

I can`t stay straight - posture . My neck seems not straight even if I force it?

Hello, I have noticed some people telling me , stay straight. But I don`t have a straight posture even if I force myself, to me it seems I stay 100 % straight as posture , back and neck.

However, in mirror / photos my neck looks a little off straight line. Maybe I deformed my body by not staying straight at home for long time ?

Take a look at this picture

my posture looks a little like foward head , not total but similar.

Shall I do any exercise ? can I improve this or my body is now deformed ? help

It is possible to have a straight neck (no natural curve) and never develop degeneration problems?

I was in an accident a little over a year ago. The initial xrays showed some lower back issues and my straight neck. I have been going to the chiro regularly and still have the straight neck. I am not sure if the accident caused it or not, and if it is even correctable. I don't want to devevelop degeration or other spine problems. Is there a solution?

Why does every chiropractor tell you your neck is too straight and they can put a "natural" curve back into it with numerous neck-cracking visits?

I just love the “their quacks” slogan that is repeated over and over in hopes that by repeating a lie long enough people will believe its true.Especially when it comes from an MD who belong to the group that has created the largest epidemic of people hooked on opioids. Yeah that’s not quackery. There are so many of these know-it-alls that have absolutely no clue about body mechanics or for that matter health it just plain scares me.This group of so called health professionals who kill more people in a year The third-leading cause of death in America most doctors don't want you to know aboutThey sit smugly thinking how they are the science based health professionals when they are nothing but pill pushers with very little knowledge of how a body functions. So anyway do not ever go to your local MD for advice on spinal mechanics, you might as well be speaking to a child about how the universe works. To explain how spinal mechanics works is way to long for this space. But let me say your spine and it’s configurations are extremely important to your health.Losing a curve will change weight distribution, gravitational weight, movement and so many other things. The curve is created to give movement, strength, and distribution of forces. Losing the curve changes all of these things for the worse. It redistributes the weight of the head and creates higher axial forces on the discs thereby causing higher compressive loads. This over time creates what is known as bulging discs, arthritic changes and changes in tendon and ligament tension. There are numerous ways to restore the curvature and of course it will take time. The human body can make amazing changes but it takes time. Bones can heal but it takes time. Sprains can heal but it takes time. This is the most simplistic of answers. But hopefully it helps some.Find a good chiropractor if you need help with a neck or low back issue and stay away from your local MD.God Bless

Is it bad if my back hurts from always sitting straight?

Before I get into the answer, I actually posted an article that mentions how yoga can cause back pain. You can read it by clicking here, and it may give you some insight before you read the rest of this post. Now, the next question I would ask, is where is the pain? Upper back/neck? Lower back? Many clients come to me and tell me that it hurts their back more when they sit up straight. So you're not alone.I know it sounds confusing, I know, but here's a possible reason why...See, when people think about good posture, what do they think of?Chest up!Back straight!Shoulders back and down!Which can all be good little "cues" for better posture, but the actual results could be much more painful than what you're hoping for.For example, I could say "chest up," and you take that to mean "arch your back"I could say "back straight," and you could take that to mean "stick your chin out"Or, "shoulders back" could be taken as "bend your arms at an odd angle to your sides"Any one of the above three cues could cause back pain.If you're putting yourself in an awkward position because you think you're improving your posture, well, it's not really improving your posture. An ideal posture looks something like this:Looking at the picture, the figure has:- ears over the shoulders, shoulders over hips, hips over knees, knees over ankles.- arms are straight down at the sides, not "cocked" back with bent elbows.- lower back is slightly arched, not flat or over-extended.That last one is the main reason why most folks (and probably yourself) are getting themselves in more pain when trying to correct their posture. So, when self-analyzing your posture, and trying to fix it, ask yourself a few questions:- Is my chin jutting out, or is my neck in line (ears over shoulders)?- Are my arms hanging relaxed at my sides, or are my shoulders rolled forward and elbows pulled back?- Is my lower back over-arched, or relatively flat?Give yourself a quick check, and let me know if it helps take some of your pain away.Hope this helps,-BradP.S. - there’s a free resource you can get that provides you with a whackload of programs to suit your needs.
