How can I get the smell out of my Canada Goose jacket? It has a sort of musky wet dog smell on the jacket and the coyote fur trim.
It sounds like you got it very wet at some time as the feathers and the fur both are giving of odours. Check the care label to see if you can first wash this garment. If so follow the instructions and wash it. If not just start here.In order to dry the feathers you will need a tumble drier on a low setting for quite a few hours. Keep checking on it because the tumbling action which is intended to break up the feathers (or down) within their pockets to allow them to dry out. If you have any buttons or trim that may not stand up to this process then cover them with foil or remove them. It may help putting a couple of clean tennis balls in the tumbler, this allows the balls to bounce around helping to break up the feather /down clumps allowing them to dry out better.Once its fully dry if washed it should smell nice, if you cant wash it there may well be some odour but much less. So leave it to air on a hanger now and then spray on a fabric freshener.I would not have it dry cleaner as its damp and the solvents would not mix with the moisture in the jacket possibly causing shrinkage and ring marks.

hi there, i have just got a super triple goose jacket from canada weather gear, i was hoping to get a canada goose jacket when i was in toronto last week but found the cheapest i could get one for was $695, i couldn't justify spending that as i live in england and i wouldn't use it allot. i found the canada weather gear super triple goose jacket in a shop called pin stripe on young st in toronto. is was half price, i paid $99 for it, i have found it to be a fantastic jacket, really warm, at the end of the day its still a goose down jacket an does the job well at a fraction of the price, for the price i paid i don't think you could easily get another down jacket, so pound for pound this jacket is as good as any other down jacket, thanks

First off, the price is good. You're getting a high quality, durable product that will last you several years. If you have a problem with the use of animal furs/down, you probably should look at more synthetic options, however, I will say that there is nothing warmer than a down-filled jacket. I have lived in Northern Canada, where temperatures frequently dip into the -60s (c), and my down filled parka kept me toasty. If you aren't dealing with extreme conditions, however, go with something synthetic. As for white... Are canada weather gear jackets any good ?
I live in Yukon, and probably at least half the people in town have Canada Goose - probably more. The next most common is ex-Military parkas. Everything else is after that. I've never heard of "Canada Weather Gear." I had a look on the web - either people selling old ones, or questions as to whether they are any good. I found "Canada Weather Gear Triple Good" on the International Clothiers website - no details but, "From $50." You can't even get gloves that work up here for $50! My guess, one of their jackets would be useless in the true cold.
