Is my diet to lose weight unhealthy?

Each morning Monday - Friday I get up For Work (8 hr shift) with no breakfast or lunch. I eat a banana or protein bar if i get extremely hungry or feel dizzy during my shift. After my shift ends i eat a small meal so i can have energy to do some cardio and lift weight at the gym. After 4 hour in the gym i go home and eat a small amount of food like a banana or apple. Im 22, male, weight 220 and looking to weight 200. I tell my people my diet amd they tell me It's unhealthy. In a week of my diet i lost 6 pounds

Is 5'8 170 a unhealthy weight for my size/height?

you will knoiw if your un heathy do u have a visable six pack if not your not heathy , or you have a flat stomach and no gut , rugby players and nfl players have guts because they have more fat on there body than swimmers and soccer players , some have sixpacks but not very visable, if u have a four pack and can feel your abs then you need to loose body fat to get a six pack , your the same weight as braid pit and hes taller than u by 3 inches , but if you7 want to get big and and stocky u wont have a six pack , but its up to you what you want ,

Is my weight unhealthy for a 13 year old girl?

So I am a 13 year old girl and my weigh 99 pounds and I am 5'3,people keep calling me skinny but all I see is fat.I had issues with eating for 2 years and I got really skinny,my mom had to sit down with me and wait until I ate at least half of my food.Last year I gained a lot of weight and I feel insecure about my body.

Yes I know this because i am 6-7 inches shorter than you and weigh the same and im very skinny, so i can only imagine how you look! try to up your calorie intake daily :) you should weigh about 98-100 lbs. you will look & feel so much healthier i promise

Unhealthy, yet effective way to lose weight.?

To "Wantoutofmarriage": I did not go back to my overindulging and terrible eating habits. However, I did not continue the diet or the only eating two tiny meals per day. I now follow the normal healthy means of maintaining/losing weight. I eat 5-6 small healthier meals per day, and still drink all water and skim/2% milk except one or two diet pepsis or glasses of juice per day. I only used this diet to lose the weight. Once it is gone, it will be easy for me to keep it off. I just had trouble losing it.

To "..." You are correct that your way is the most healthy way; however, this is for people who want to lose the lbs fast and then use your way to keep it off. I am sorry that it is disgusting to you. My sincere apologies.

What is considered an unhealthy weight gain ?

There are a lot of other factors to consider before determining how healthy or unhealthy it is. Your age/development, current weight and where that is in relation to your ideal weight, etc. all have an impact.

Is it unhealthy to always think about my weight?

Yes, it's unhealthy, but we're conditioned to do it. In my case, it is an eating disorder. When I binge I feel terrible. When I eat fries instead of fruit I feel terrible. I have a lot of disordered eating and I force myself to forgive and to do better next time Don't let it get to this point.I only wish I was as thin as I was when I first thought I was fat.Oh well. Dieting just distorts your disordered eating more. Diets don't work. Know how I know? I've dieted my whole life and I'm fat. It changed nothing except made me all fixated on food. It's horrible!So just decide to eat well. Exercise for health and let the chips fall where they may.Some people have great metabolisms when they're young, and they change as they get older, or have children. It's life. Love yourself no matter what! So you're a little heavier than you were when you were a kid. As long as you and your doctor agree that you're healthy, you'll be fine.

Every meal is processed at the speed it can handle. Sugar gets processed quickly and fats and proteins get processed less quickly.Having a meal high in simple sugar will make your blood sugar rise quickly and drop quickly. And it tends to work quite well because it fits around our active schedule. After sleeping, we have empty stomachs and dehydration. If you haven't eaten in days, then you'll also have low blood sugar and dehydration.Throughout the day, just by standing up, you are burning calories - so you need to replace them. Knowing that it takes at least 6 hours and up to 4 days to digest food (depending on your food type and digestion ability), what you eat and when you eat it has a very large window.You can replace those calories already lost as you progress in the day, or you can have your daily recommended calorie intake in one sitting. It really doesn't change anything other than how you feel while stuffing your face in one go and how quickly you want to finish the meal.So yes and no. One high calorie meal will make you feel heavier because you've ingested that weight in food. But no, that one meal won't make you gain noticeable weight as body fat overnight. Over-eating in general and in excess sugar will make you put on weight over time.
