Which Movie do you prefer, Now You See Me 1 or Now You See Me 2?

I just recently saw 2 for the first time and just this last weekend rewatched 1. The second is a pale imitation of the first. The only thing better about the second was that it was slightly funnier. But basically everything that was good in the first movie got redone but not as well. I love the first one but don't think I will be trying to rewatch the second anytime soon.

Is the movie Now You See Me good?

Some movies are confusing, and some movies are complicated, and some movies are silly. And then there’s Now You See Me, the magician bank heist thriller, which is also an FBI chase movie, which is also about a Dan Brown-esque secret society of Ancient Egyptian magicians who use real magic to fight crime or something. The whole thing is constructed like an Abrams/Nolan mega-mystery where everything’s a twist and everyone has secret motivations, except none of the motivations make sense, and all of the twists involve mirrors. Specifically, mirrors used in unusual ways.
This Movie is such a great movie and it is mind blowing! I would say Yes!!! Go and see it!

Where can I get the Tarot cards like in the movie "Now You See Me"?

Based on the three cards I found online from the movie -- http://www.premiereprops.com/tarot-cards... -- those are from two different decks. The High Priestess is a typical standard from any Rider Waite type deck, the image has been recolored in sepia tone and roughed up. But it's not in any way unusual.

The other two shown are made for the movie, sorry. I've seen 'freakier' images, and much milder. The movie cards here play up the horror side for anyone who doesn't know what they're supposed to mean (laughable). The Hermit stands for someone searching, someone who is willing to teach if the studen makes the effort to reach out to them. It's not a bad card. The Death card image follows the normal way Hollywood cliche's the card. Death does not mean death, it means something is stopping and a new thing is starting up, that a person has to make a choice and the choice may not be easy but it does lead a person forward in life, that there's no going back. Using it to scare is a standard Hollywood theme. The tarot is not black and white, each card has a theme, and the cards generally fine tune their meaning in seven or eight different ways, depending on what the question was, what cards were next to them, etc. It's a skill to read the cards, but movies don't explain much about it.

The BACKS of the cards are all fake, made for the movie.

If you ever watch The Red Violin, the tarot reading done in the first third of the movie was excellent. The deck was used properly and it foreshadowed everything that happened in the movie.

There are over 3,000 different tarot decks on the market. You can find images of them over at Tarotgarden.com or, even better since they show cards and give a review of the deck, over at aeclectic tarot (google them). If you want eerie, you can get an eerie one. If you want fluffy, or artsy, or nature based, or a gothic theme, or steampunk even, there are decks that fit that too. Deck prices generally run in the $25-$40 range. There are some gorgeous decks available with metallic inks, and there are bare bones basic ones (sometimes for $15 or less).

Is the movie "Now you see me" based off a book?

No its an original idea for movies. The Prestige is a similar movie though.

Explain the movie "now you see me"?

"Come in close, because the more you think you see, the easier it'll be to fool you.”

Magic is all about misdirection. The Four Horseman were and are the misdirection.

One of the tenants of a good mystery is having good minor characters. As it turns out, Eisenberg, Fisher, Harrelson, and Franco are mere distractions. For all the posing, action, and hijinks that take place around them, they are but a slight of hand. They are there to show that there is nothing up their metaphorical sleeves, and yet the story happens off to the side and that is where one may start having problems with the story. The best mystery that I have seen and enjoyed tend to feed subtle clues, cleverly throughout the film, leading the viewer to stay up with the story and invites the viewer to make reasonable deductions as to the solution of the mystery. "Now You See Me" robs us of that ability. Leterrier is so focused on the misdirection that any clues given are so obvious that they are not clues at all but red herrings at best.

Do you think, now you see me 2 will be better movie than now you see me 1?

NOW YOU SEE MEAmazing movie with awesome star cast. People were actually waiting for a good magic/Robbery Movie for long. This movie came out of no were, but post release publicity made it a hit. (Mostly mouth publicity). Now coming to your Question, Will the new installment will be better then the the previous one.The trailer of NOW YOU  SEE ME 2 seems promising. But it has to be really good because audience's expectations will be very high. And as most sequels face the problem of high expectations and comparisons, this movie also has to deal with it. The producers/Directors wanted our(movie lovers) attention, they have it now, Let's see whether they respect our time. ;)MY BEST WISHESenJoy ;)

Does hypnosis work like in the movie Now You See Me?

Hi there,Quick answer: YES, it does. The hypnotist role played by Woody Harrelson represents a good portion of how hypnosis works. The first scene where he hypnotizes a couple with a cheating husband shows how most hypnotists have their hypnosis sessions. However, there is one extra thing I saw Woody, the hypnotist, do that very few other hypnotists have, if any. That is the mentalism and body language skills he showed when he tried to get the husband to tell him whom he had been having an affair with. He guessed names and let the muscles on the face of the husband direct him and reveal the right name of the woman, out of all his guesses. This is a subconscious thing. The other scenes that depict hypnosis are short but they also reveal some fundamental aspects of successful hypnosis. And some of these aspects are getting blindspots and surprise. So, in summary, I can boldly say that the movie does give away a few secrets of hypnosis. The best resource I would encourage you to check out to get a good grasp of the science works as well as how the movie has represented it, is to watch a fairly famous hypnotist comedian called Marc Savard. He holds shows in Las Vegas and he is really good with hypnosis. Here is a link to one of his videos. He has hypnotized the people on stage to do all the things you are seeing them do in the video. He usually hypnotizes the woman on his left to fall deeply in love with him and the one on his far right to feel disgust towards him.For the men, he gets them to keep touching thier crotch and others to dance to mexican songs. You can watch his other videos on his channel. They are really amazing and fun. Finally, if you are looking to know how exactly hypnosis works and would want to experience it first hand, I would recommend you try out self hypnosis programs that you can use at home before you go to a hypnotherapist. They will give you a good idea of how it feels. My personal favourite self hypnosis programs that will give the best start in this science are Hypnosis Live or Hypnosis Bootcamp. After that, if you want, may be you can take your curiosity to the next level and visit a hypnotherapist.Hope this answers your question. If you need more help, be sure to let me know by leaving a comment. I will be happy to give you a hand where I can. :)
