Is Sapphire Hd 7950 Worth Taking Risk

Is this power supply worth it?

YES and NO.
I have the 750W version and it works great. Had it for almost a year now. Very quiet and stay cool. However, I only paid $89 out the door and had a $20 mail in rebate, so $69 final price.
NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THE MANUFACTURER. Find 3rd party sellers, they are cheaper.
Try Newegg it's $80 ($60 after $20 mail in rebate - expires today, buy now!):

Yes, 700W is more than plenty with some room for upgrade.
nVidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti requires 450 W minimum:
http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-...

AMD/ATI Radeon HD 7950 requires 500W minimum, so you're well within safe limits.
http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/g...

Usually you want your PSU at least 20% or more bigger than your power requirement for low noise and temperature.

Get the GTX 660 Ti, has higher benchmark score
http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+HD+7950&id=325

and also read this:

When comparing same class graphic (video) cards, more or less in the same price range, nVidia (GeForce) always was, still is and will always be better than ATI/AMD (Radeon).

Here's why:

nVidia has the advantages of lots of superior nVidia proprietary features like:

* CUDA cores (Compute Unified Device Architecture)
* nVidia GPUDirect and nVidia PureVideo HD 1080p, an nVidia hardware feature designed to offload video decoding processes and video post-processing from a computer's CPU (processor) hardware to the nVidia's GPU hardware, used in all series GeForce 6 and later and GeForce M for laptops
* PhysX (a proprietary realtime physics engine middleware SDK)

All those features lack on the ATI/AMD cards...

What all that translates into, is more stress put on your CPU to compensate when using an ATI/AMD card, and degraded overall performance in games and other graphics intense applications.

That's why AMD uses cheap tricks such as putting the GPU on one board (what they call dual graphics) or creating the AMD APU series processors (an all-in-one CPU+GPU) in a desperate (and failed) attempt to compete against an nVidia GPU from the same price range.

Good luck.

Will Apple consider making a better and more stable version of the power Mac and if so will you consider using it or building a hackintosh in your opinion?

“Power Macintosh” was Apple’s branding for the pro line of PowerPC-chip equipped Macs sold between 1993 and 2005 or so.PowerPC is dead and gone for Macs, so it seems extremely unlikely that “Power Mac/Macintosh” will ever come back as branding. The high-end models of the Macintosh line are now branded “Mac Pro” - “Pro” for professional. Apple have already announced a new Mac Pro model to be released in 2019, so it is a certainty that there will be a new model. (And about time; the old Mac Pro model is sorely hampered by its design, and is now woefully behind the curve in terms of performance compared to a high-end PC).While I personally can’t see myself buying a Mac Pro - my business doesn’t require a top-end machine - I’m sure it will find its market. I also wouldn’t consider using a Hackintosh for professional work. It might make an interesting hobby project. The problem with Hackintosh is that Apple’s hardware is very specific, and only that hardware is generally supported by the drivers, etc, that are part of Mac OS. Unlike in the Windows universe, where there is a much wider range of hardware, and hence a much wider range of drivers. This multiplicity also makes Windows much more complex, and also potentially prone to configuration problems. Apple’s much more limited hardware varieties reduces such issues and improves reliability, at the expense of… well, expense. Macs are typically more expensive than equivalent PCs, and MUCH more expensive than commodity PCs.So Hackintosh builders have two approaches: use hardware that is identical to Apple’s own, and hence is supported ‘out of the box’ by the OS (but also often just as expensive), or use drivers of possibly dubious quality to support other, cheaper hardware. In either case, you can expect no support from Apple, so you’re on your own if things act up. A professional user, as opposed to an amateur tinkerer, has no time for such things, and in general is less constrained by cost of hardware. So you almost never find a Hackintosh used by professionals. That’s also why Apple don’t care about Hackintoshes - it’s simply too tiny a number of users for them to bother trying to prevent them working.

Would it be bad to buy a used-for-mining GPU after miners start selling their cards?

A recent model (for example RX480) probably has not done more than a few months of mining. Miners are careful and, even though they drive their cards hard, they are not likely to just stick it in a box without airflow and drive it to 95° all the time. In fact most mining builds are made to optimize airflow, temperature and would, almost never, use overvoltage/overclocking (it means more power consumption, which is the main cost of mining!).I would be much more careful buying from a gamer that has stuck his card in a small pc case, with a lot of dust and no airflow, experimenting with overclocking/overvolting to get the last few % of performance whilst gaming 6h per day.In the end, it is a calculated risk. Remember that the price of a new RX480 was sometimes below $200 (with rebates etc). If you can find one at $120, for example, you’ll be saving a lot of money but taking a small risk that the card fails. That risk is not, in my opinion, much greater if you buy from a miner. It’s up to you to decide how much more $$ this “peace of mind” is worth to you.

Is pc gaming worth it?

I'll try to answer most of your questions, as a longtime PC gamer.

1. Fallout 3, (and the other newer Fallouts as well) Skyrim have bugs and crashes, at launch. After numerous patches (we PC gamers get our patches far more frequently than console versions) my copy of Skyrim has no crashes, better performance, and it runs on a rather outdated machine. The PS3 version still has its fair share of performance problems.

2.Yes, Crysis still has its securom. But in my case it does not affect my performance, and patches do wonders.

3. Steam is awesome. I don't know where you heard that from, but i just loaded my Alan Wake at midnight after turning off my internet router. Just click on play offline, and you'll be fine. I also ran Mass Effect 3 on Origin without an internet connection a few weeks ago.

4. I have to admit, PC gaming is not as peaceful as it was in the 90s. We are labeled as pirates, elitists and such. We get bad ports from consoles because a lot of developers don't care about us anymore. But we have a very strong community. When our games are buggy and the devs don't fix them, we come up with our own fixes. It's a hard way to game, but we're so used to the hardships that we sometimes get addicted to it, because it is satisfying when we finally solve these problems.

In a way, it is, if you're willing to learn the ropes.

If I change an AMD graphics card with another AMD, will the computer not start as it happened when I switched from an AMD to a Nvidia?

If you’ve switched graphics cards and your computer is suddenly not starting, I’d say check your power cable, power supply, and connection from the PSU to your Mobo. Likely one of those are loose. If you mean the computer turns on but you can’t see anything, I’d think your driver for the new graphics card are not installed. This leaves you with 2 options1. Remove the new graphics card and install the old. Download the drives for the NEW card. Once installed, remove the old card and install the new card and you should be good to go. 2. Remove the new graphics card. Use on-board graphics to send video to your monitor. Install the drivers for the new graphics card. Power down, install the new graphics card, and you should be good to go.Yes, you actually want to install the graphics card drivers before installing the graphics card. And no, there’s nothing wrong with have 2 graphics card drivers installed on one machine. Just remember after installing the new graphics card to uninstall the older drivers. If this doesn’t work, there’s likely a problem around your motherboard, graphics card, or something else and we’ll have to do some troubleshooting. But try what I mentioned above first before going any further.

Pros and Cons of overclocking cpu intel i5-4670k?

Well now days there isnt much to overclocking. Its pretty easy to do.
But lower cost motherboard dont have as good VRM meaning you wont be able to overclock them AS far safely. Your board is the lower end of the z87 asus board, and it should be able to overclock, but dont expect things like 4.2-4.7ghz overclocks.
The board may be able to hit a 4.7ghz oc, but it will be HEAVILY stressing the VRM, and a few degrees in temperature i your house could cause them to fry.

Always keep voltages as low as you possibly can and keeping the oc stable.

EDIT: @eric
i swear every time u answer an something and i see it, ic ant help but /facepalm...
you literally dont know anything about anything :/

First off, the intel tuning warranty thing is a scam.... its near IMPOSSIBLE to damage your cpu via overclocking, other then over-volting it.... ( so unless you are like derp 1.6V you arnt going to damage it...)
Its literally impossible for that cpu to overheat. The haswell platform has INSANE throttling, so you can overclock it to 9.0ghz on air, but ofcourse once it hits a temp, it will throttle the hell out of it to stop it from overheating.
And on top of that, motherboards are capable of shutting down the cpu well before damage can be caused from overheating. And thats been around for a long time.

As for your motherboards VRM, there is NO safeguards against that. You can easily fry your vrm on weaker motherboard by overclocking. And the heatsinks on the motherboard vrm are pretty weak. But it atleast has a 8phase vrm, so its able to distribute the load of current to lessen the stress on the vrms.
But with how much power the 4670K needs at high overclocks, i wouldnt condone high overclocks, unless you have amazing case cooling, and have cool air blowing directly on the vrms.

i still lol @ linus forum intel response squad
im guessing you were like "plz plz plz pick me" *spam spam spam*
"ok"

Are there any real PS3 emulators?

There is one very basic PS3 emulator, that only handles some homebrew and no real games, and very slowly at that. Current high-end PCs handle PS2 emulation relatively well, and they're nowhere near fast enough to handle PS3 emulation even if one were available.

Anything that says it's a 100% PS3 emulator (or a 360 one for that matter) is a scam, virus, or just endless surveys.

Buying Graphic card online. Suggestion need ASAP?

Personally I prefer that my relatively expensive pc components are under warranty so I prefer buying locally. I know the prices are tempting but if something goes wrong you are basicaly left with an expensive paperweight. I'm from europe and prices here are also sometimes twice as high (Pc components) so I know your temptation. Otherwise I have had good experience with Amazon.co.uk.

By the way your link just takes me to neweggs main page.
You can give it a try once since you have the chance with your friend being there and all, but as soon as you get it you don't have any warranty. What is unfortunate with all electronics is that the possibility of damage is high at the beginning and at the end. The same applies to human health.

What system is more powerfull for gaming?

EDIT:
@Georg:
Nice, long narration here, unfortunately the asker won't understand too much of it, since he already admitted that he has "more or less no idea about computers".
***************************************...

Asker (Joe):
Your current desktop is very outdated, 6 years old and very low end by modern standards.
Your Intel Core2 Duo E6300 is a 2006 model processor and we are in 2013 already, so go figure...
Your Radeon HD 4850 graphics card is also very old and outdated.

Any new system would be far better in all aspects.

However, that Alienware X51 sucks and it's way overpriced.
You do not want a gaming computer in a small from factor case (mini tower), it will overheat.

Order a PC with similar or better specs for less money on iBuyPower or CyberPowerPC.
Choose a model and customize it to your liking and budget.
Contact me by email from here if you need assistance.

Look for these specs in a gaming computer:
Processor: Intel Core i3-3220 would be a minimum required, best would be i5-3570K.
That GT640 graphics card is not good enough for gaming, you need at least a GTX650 Ti, or best would be a GTX660 Ti.
Also 6GB of RAM is the wrong setup. RAM must only be installed in identical pairs for fast dual channel memory operation.
Example:
4GB as two x 2GB
8GB as two x 4GB
Get a dual channel kit of 8GB (two x 4GB), fast DDR3 1600MHz RAM, preferably G.Skill Ripjaws X Series or Corsair Vengeance.

What are the biggest problems at Apple at the moment?

Its culture of elitism. What I mean is that Apple seems to think very highly of itself — to the point that it sees absolutely nothing wrong with:overcharging for the spec it deliversissuing closed architecture for good money, and then(once again) overcharging for its AppleCare warrantiesAnd then, of course, there is the whole issue of the closed nature of Apple’s ecosystem, which mirrors the closed nature of the architecture I spoke of above, at least for Apple mobile products. That’s somewhat less of a legit concern, though, given that once you start building a library within a given ecosystem, you’ll most likely add to it, rather than randomly begin a new library in somebody else’s pond.I should also point out that I like Apple products for purposes of entertainment and running mobile apps. Foir hardcore productivity, I’d still want a PC. And I’m not yet very impressed by the deliberately computer-like additions to iOS 11 (such as the Files app and the enhanced multitasking capabilities). For me, it comes down to this:APPLE IS CONVINCED ENOUGH BY ITS OWN PRESS RELEASES TO THINK IT CAN DO NO WRONG, NO MATTER WHAT IT RELEASES. SO, EVEN THOUGH IT RELEASES QUALITY STUFF MOST OF THE TIME, IT LACKS ANY REAL EMOTIONAL OWNERSHIP OF THE IDEA THAT ANYTHING EVEN CAN BE WRONG WITH ANYTHING IT PUTS ON THE MARKET.
