Is Supernatural Worth Watching

Is Supernatural worth watching?

I think it is worth watching. A friend got me to watch it a little while ago, I've since got two others to watch it. They both watched all 8 seasons in only a few weeks...so it's definitely a good one.

But ok, unbiased view.
Some people thinks it's starts off slow. I don't agree, I think it starts off very formulaic and that's purely because it was a new show in 2005. But it does take them a little while to get a bigger plot than going week-to-week. Having said that though, the week-to-week episodes are usually fun to watch.

Highs and lows...the seasons definitely builds. Originally the 5th season was going to be the end of the show, so they build to that. The 4th and 5th seasons are fairly intense. It's fantastic. There is a bit of a low in 7th season and 8th season because this was a bit of a transitional period. They aren't bad, but it just wasn't up to "Supernatural" standard.

Acting gets 10/10. Every single character on their is well chosen and can certainly act. The two main characters are legitimately fantastic and up-to-date viewers will agree that even now, they can surprise you with what they can do.

Plot. I love the plot, especially when it becomes a continuous story. It is very clever and there are moments that will make you cry or will shock you or will make you laugh. The whole thing is based in the idea of monsters and angels/demons etc. and man, the story writers REALLY do their research. The amount of time those people must spend reading old mythology books and the Bible...even the exorcism chants they use are from the Catholic Church. So it does have authenticity as well.

Effects. This get's it's own comments. There are a few things the effects guys fall short on but in general, Supernatural is head and shoulders above the rest. It makes it more fun to watch.

Anyway, watch it. I haven't met anyone who has hated the show after giving it a chance.

Is the supernatural TV show worth watching?

If you ask me, I would say yes in a heartbeat. But that said, you need to know whether it's worth investing YOUR time for entertainment that you prefer.Supernatural is certainly not the most critically acclaimed show out there, so that's no surprise. The show enjoys its ridiculously long run (season 12 running, renewed for 13) due to its loyal fan base. Case in point - me.History - I left arrow, flash, elementary, Mr. ROBOT, house of Cards in between, due to either lack of interest or extreme negativity. That is when this dude called Dean winchester came in and told me ‘Dads on a hunting trip and he hasn't been home in a few days’So it began. I started watching the show end of August 16 and by October 16 I was done till season 9. I was paranoid that I would exhaust all of it, so I took a break from it. Obviously I am mostly caught up on season 12 now.The reason is, the show is pretty damn addictive. The leads, who are brothers are fabulous, the premise is fantastic and they keep introducing powerful enemies for them to deal with. There are some really really good actors often cast on seriously interesting roles. So the good is obviously there. The bad -There are some emotional moments that really drain you now and then. They could have reduced them. There are pretty violent sequences in every episode. You get used to them later (heck, I eat while Watching this show), but yeah.Repetetive stories where each brother sacrifices for the other.Offensive if you are a devout christianAnd one major reveal is, the main storyline in the series ends by season 5. Season 6 in my opinion was pretty lame, and from season 7 the series picked up pace again thanks to some awesome back story writing. So if nothing, you can give it a shot. Just season 1. Fair warning - first episode is pretty slow. Second one is the real Start. There is no stopping from there. It's pretty seriously addictive.Quit if you don't like it.

Is season 7 of Supernatural worth watching?

I've seen up to 7x02 and it was pretty good, except my friends keep saying that season 7 sucks and that the Leviathons are dumb. Also, my favorite character is Castiel and I heard that he hardly shows up for the rest of the season. I really want to get to season 8 because I heard that the show gets really good again, but is it worth skipping the rest of season 7?

Should I watch Supernatural?

Okay, so I am 13 years old and I really want to watch Supernatural. I've heard it can be scary and gory which isn't a problem because I can handle that and I've watched creepy shows before (ex: The X-Files, even though it might not be as creepy). I just want to know what other teens around my age think, should I watch it? Is it a good show? Is there any content that I should worry about (ex: sex)? Like I said before, I can handle scary stuff, I just want to know if it is worth watching and if it is appropriate for my age.

Is Supernatural worth watching after season 5?

Personally, I think you should watch and judge for yourself. But, since you are clearly curious and wanting an answer, I would say: yes. Now, none of the recent seasons have even been able to even touch 1–5, at least in my opinion, but, honestly, I love the characters so much that I keep coming back for more. My advice to you is, if you are invested in the show and the characters by season 5 and are still interested in seeing what the later seasons bring, keep watching! After all, there is nothing wrong with continuing until you are bored or lose interest. I myself have never lost complete interest in the show, even in the somewhat stumbling seasons of 6 and 7.And, just as often as Supernatural falls short on certain episodes, it manages to do something great. The writers have managed to craft some incredibly funny, creative, thrilling, and interesting episodes, even into the not-as-good seasons.Personally, 6–12 have had a lot of unevenness and ups and downs, but they’re still a lot of fun and full of angst. If you love Sam and Dean taking on big baddies and still killing monsters and demons every week, why not stick around?Edit: To be more helpful, I wanted to provide a general opinion on the “quality” of each of the seasons:1–5 is the ‘golden age’ of Supernatural. No complaints from me.6–7 are uneven, stumbling seasons that I have some major problems with. However, there are still many good episodes throughout both seasons.8 is a great season, the one that restored my faith in the show, with only a few hiccups in the beginning half.9 is an okay season, not as good as 8, but still better than 6 and 7. I think it’s just the fact that the dialogue and drama between the boys this season is much more boring than usual, and the drama gets old fast, but the action and plot is still largely good.10–12 have been great seasons again, not ‘golden era’ great, but I for one have enjoyed the brothers’ dynamics and drama in these newer seasons again, after having felt things were getting old in 9. Also the mythology and plot has been exciting and picking back up again. These seasons are not perfect, but I felt much better coming out of them then out of 6,7, and 9.

Should I watch Supernatural from the beginning?

Yes, absolutely!I never got why people (no offense) skipped the first couple of seasons. I started from the beggining and I’m currently caught up with everyone else, so it really doesn’t take a while to watch it through.Considering I started watching it last year at the beginning of August (but I was pretty well aware about it for years) and finished before s12 came out, it really didn’t take that long to catch up (contrary to my belief)! Also consider the fact that I was literally only getting through a episode per day though usually tops. I did get a whole season in a day twice when I got through s8 on one day and s11 right before s12 came out the very next day. So if it’s a thing of “it’s too much to watch! I’ll never be caught up!” me and other people are living proof you can get half the series at least under your belt in a week or so.If you don’t start from the beginning (a lot of people start on s4 so I’m assuming you mean s4 or s5), you’d miss a lot of plot, background information, and bros just being good bros?? A lot happens that leads up to s4 and s5 and can ultimately confuse the hell out of a new viewer if they know little to nothing about the show. You’d also miss w a y too much of background information in general and the relationship between Sam and dean and their father plus with other great characters such as Bobby and Jo and Ellen. You also wouldn’t understand who half the characters that end up coming back into the show are and anything referenced to the seasons before s4 and s5 (such as The Trickster who appeared on the show two times before coming back in s5). And plus the third season isn’t even as long as s1 and s2. It only has 16 episodes my bro.So if you want to miss trivial things such as the actually really well written storyline and the important relationships between characters, you can be my guest (it’s not like I can stop you anyways. But I implore you to consider these things before you make your decision if you haven’t already.

Should I continue watching Supernatural?

You’re right that the show SHOULD have ended after season 5 (they literally showed the words “THE END” on the screen), but there’s still good that came after. Stick it out. There’s still enjoyable stuff to be seen, and season 11 was actually really solid, almost returning to the quality of those first 5 seasons, and includes two all-time great Supernatural episodes (“Baby” and “Don’t Call Me Shurley”).

Is Supernatural considered to be a good show? Is it worth watching?

I wanted to watch Supernatural because I appreciated seeing the comedy (via Pinterest, despite the original posting being from Tumblr) so I looked up reasons to watch the show, just as you are doing now.I read some top ten reasons to watch and ended up deciding to watch. I had to force myself to watch the first few episodes. I like a show because I like characters. So I had to watch the first few episodes without caring yet, and I was basically bored by the Monster-Of-The-Week plot. I forced myself to keep watching because of the comedy from Pinterest and I am so thankful I did. It is now one of my most favorite TV shows I have ever watched.Episodes no longer bore me because I have a vested interest in every character. I really mean that. The brothers are of course my favorites along with Castiel (you don't meet him till Season 4 but he makes everything so much better). Every character is interesting. Characters are the thing the show is best at. The Monster of the Week plot line is not a big issue anymore, as it's mostly the overarching plot with a couple monster of the week thrown in.So please please please try to watch at least the first couple episodes. If you can honestly say you don't like Sam or Dean, not the plot that gets better but Sam and Dean. If you don't love them and their relationship, then the answer is no. Do not watch.I believe this was the link to the top ten that convinced me to watch:http://the-artifice.com/10-reaso...Have a nice day. :) Carry On My Wayward Son. Lol.

I have watched Supernatural up to Season 6. Is it worth continuing, or does it run out of steam with most classic episodes in its past?

It really depends on why you’re watching. Even the worst seasons (7 and 12, for me) have some classic episodes that most fans love. The storylines definitely change, as does the show tone, and frankly, Sera Gamble was a lousy showrunner. But the show itself has about as many ups and downs after season five as it does before.A lot of people who were happy just watching through the end of season five seem to have been there for Sam. The mytharc actually continues to be quite Sam-centric right up until about halfway through season nine (9.11 - “First Born,” to be exact). Then it switches rather abruptly to being Dean-centric. Sure, Dean had some mytharc elements in the past, but “First Born” is the beginning of where the show’s mytharc becomes distinctly Dean-centric. And that focus is ongoing. So, if you’re there for Sam, season nine might be a good place to stop. But if you’re there for Dean, you’re going to miss a lot, stopping with season five.
