Is The Brain Of The Liberal Fundamentally Different In Structure Than The Conservative Brain

Conservatives and Liberals Have Different Brains?

I tend to agree.------there has to be *some* connection with why so many seemingly otherwise, rational, intelligent, adult human beings, would spread as much sheer garbage as republicans do.

Look at the whole Birther movement. HOW, in the light of all the facts, could half the country buy into such rubbish? And believe it all so fervently, that they threw away their jobs.....(Lou Dobbs) ....their self respect.....(Donald Trump).......their so callled impartiality.... (Anderson Cooper)-------to shovel such obvious horsesh*t- ? There HAS to be something about their brains, that just refuses to process critical thinking skills. A switch, that is somehow overridden, by their superior need for SELF preservation, despite it making them look like a bunch of IDIOTS, as a whole.

And then their astounding inability to grasp *that*---------that they are behaving like total morons.

I would have to concur, that there's some kind of chemical imbalance in the brain.

And to the poster who said...........well, how does that explain republicans becoming Liberal.....well, no one said the process can't be overcome, or altered.....either by self conditioning or continued learning, or perhaps even a change in diet or medications to help this chemical imbalance.

many pyschiatric disorders are treated by making up for the naturally occuring shortage of one thing or another.

As for liberals turning republican, then the reverse would be true......perhaps they are suffering from some depletion of natural resources in their own brains.....and thus turn republican.

How many transsexuals eventually regret transitioning?

I too have read some of those testimonies, (mostly Exodus International ones), and they seemed sincere enough to me. But it was quite obvious that the reason why most of them regretted it was not because they suddenly became cis, but because they were suddenly "saved" and had one of those born again experiences where they somehow became convinced that transitioning was "sinful" or something, and that they therefore shouldn't go through with it. So unless you think that's at all likely to happen to you, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Also, IF you end up regretting it in your 30s, which I find extremely, extremely unlikely, you WILL actually have the ability to stop taking testosterone. (And get on estrogen if you've had your hysterectomy.) Of course not ALL of the effects of T would just automatically go away, because some of those are permanent. But you would have the same starting point as an MtF, for the most part. Probably even with certain advantages, like your body fat structure being more likely to redistribute to a female shape, your facial shape still being more passable as female than that of most bio-males, etc. So you would not be COMPLETELY stuck, anyway.

Oh, and also: apparently, a Dutch study has been done where they interviewed 10 people who ended up regretting their transition. It's quite interesting:

However, most of those people either transitioned for very bad reasons or did NOT really experience gender dysphoria in spite of having certain identity issues. So they weren't like you. If you are the sort of person who has always known you're a guy, that's probably extremely unlikely to change, don't you think..? :)
