Is The Internet Connection Of New York Working Properly These Days

Is getting a vocal coach worth it?

Of course lessons are worth it!

In fact, THE ONLY SAFE way to learn the correct singing techniques & to improve properly IS to take OFFLINE face-to-face singing lessons with a fully trained vocal teacher (in case you do not have a teacher yet)! The teacher HAS TO BE in the same room with you, so that he/she could give you proper feedback.

Please do NOT rely on any dodgy web tutorials because that way you can misunderstand things VERY EASILY and develop bad habits, hoarseness, vocal nodules and other nasties IN NO TIME, and even though you would sound good! It is always much wiser to invest a little bit of your money/time to face-to-face lessons rather than wasting the same amount of money (or even more!) to frequent ear-nose-throat specialist visits due to aforementioned problems, so please reconsider this. If you can't afford vocal lessons, then joining a choir is the only SAFE alternative option. And believe me, but even MANY of those who have music as their hobby DO take lessons as well!

Always remember to warm up your voice properly, but please know your limits and don't overdo your voice! Remember the diaphragmatic support, do not strain your throat too much! Also, remember good body posture!

Avoid fizzy drinks (burp danger), dairy products (mucus risk), caffeinated products (coffee & tea included, they dry up your throat) and spicy food (irritation risk)! You can consume these things, but NEVER before singing!

Do NOT shout, yell, scream nor otherwise abuse your voice AT ANY TIME! Also, please respect your vocal range; if your teacher says you are, say, more of an alto (baritone if you are male), then you ARE more of an alto (baritone).

DO NOT try to imitate anyone famous, that will usually give you just bad habits and even damage your throat. You are YOU and your voice is unique, so please learn to cherish that. The world does NOT need copycats.

Do NOT sing, whisper, shout, yell nor scream if having a sore throat/cold/flu, Also, do speak as little as you can if you have flu/cold/sore throat!

Remember to drink at least 2 litres of room-temperature still water every day, not just during singing days!

Smoking is a big no-no, as is inhaling secondhand smoke. Also, avoid staying in dusty and/or moldy environment.

How well does a GPS work in New York City (Manhattan)?

I have limited experience with GPS in Manhattan, but here are my observations.

The signal is pretty reliable. Maybe on some tight streets surrounded by tall buildings you will have problems.

What is more important to me is the fact that the program I have is not fully aware of all traffic rules. It told me to make a couple of turns that were not permitted. Be careful!

I lv spanish but i dont have money to go for proper lessons, whats the alternative i can use to learn.plz help?

You are in luck. There are many free online websites to learn Spanish. Just search "learn Spanish for free online". That is a great place to start. Begin with learning vocabulary and basic grammar (sentence order, verb conjugations, etc.) and work up to more complicated grammar.

I'm sure that public libraries in your area have some Spanish reasources. Check if they have picture dictionaries or other resources for learning Spanish. Once you can understand more, begin reading children's picture books. Then work up to basic chapter books. Soon enough, you'll be able to read more advanced literature in Spanish. There might also be some movies or audio books in Spanish.

You are going to need to practice listening to Spanish, too. This is the fun part! Find movies, television shows, and even music that interests you. If you feel more comfortable with subtitles at the beginning, feel free to turn them on, but try your best to focus on what is being said. The more you get used to the sound of Spanish, the easier it will be later when you begin using what you have learned!

Finally, you will have to practice speaking. Athough this might be the most difficult step, it is obviously very important. Go to Spanish-speaking restaurants, bakeries, and shops in your area. Practice conversing with people there in Spanish. Not only is this an ideal place to practice, but it is also an awesome cultural experience.

Don't be discouraged. There are many advantages to learning on your own. They include: being able to go at your own pace, learning only what you need (not vocabulary you will never actually use), and having an awesome pastime!

Guitar tuner always reads wrong notes, can I fix this?

I've been playing for a weeks and have been tuning by ear so far, though I haven't been able to do it well. I decided to get a tuner so that I can tune more accurately. I have one tuner that never, ever reads the proper note. I bought a second one that might get the right proper one out of ten or so times.

Is there any way to fix this issue?

(The guitar is acoustic, if it counts for anything).

Why dont mexicans speak proper spanish?

Wait... First of all ... Latin as a language is a dead language. Latins, where the name came from a place called Latium near ancient Rome/Latinos/Latinas, meaning the people who spoke Latinate / Romance languages including people who spoke, and now speak French, Italian, Romanian, Spanish and Portuguese, NOT just people who speak Spanish. What the heck is a "Latin country"? AFAIK, there's no such thing!

Mexicans mix too much American English into their words so they can't even think in Spanish to get the correct word, when they need to use them.

Before anyone gives me a thumbs down, there's no such thing as "Latin America", "Middle East", etc...:

These countries are in Central & South America, with the exception of Mexico, which its people think of as special because they are in the same continent as the USA in North America, so far most, not all, of those countries' peoples speak correct Spanish along with slang, except Mexico where they mix American English with Spanish, and have the nerve to call it Spanglish, when they can't speak the English part correctly.

"Middle East"? Nah. No such thing either. They are actually countries where the natives speak Arabic and Hebrew located in Southwest Asia.
