Is The Middle Nothing But Ads

What's up with these sites that are nothing but ads?

Example as of 2/27: http://www.cartoondrawings.net/wallpaper...

This site is nothing but sponsored links. Does this mean that they didn't pay for their server or something?

Is the idea of a website with nothing but banner ads a dumb idea?

There's a banner ad search engine called MoatMoat Ad SearchHave fun!

Why does YouTube run ads in the middle of their videos?

This is one of several different ad options that a content creator can choose from when they elect to monetize a video. It is also the option that generates the most revenue because you have a captive audience that apparently already likes the content and wants to see the rest of it so will likely wait ’til the ad is finished to get back to the rest of the video).Other options are the pre- and post-roll kind (which block your view) and the ad overlay kinds. The former are skippable and the latter can be clicked to close. However, many content creators who are in it for profit don’t like those because if the viewer skips or closes the ad without viewing most of it, it doesn’t count as an impression for revenue calculations.Of course, all of these are a gamble and a balancing act between the needs/desires of the viewer and the content creator’s hopes of revenue: Irritate the viewer too much, and they’ll just leave the video altogether. And different audiences prefer different kinds of ads, and different types of ads work better for various kinds of videos. There is no one right kind of ad.But one thing is clear: YouTube isn’t running those ads. AdSense (by Google) is, and they’re doing it at the content creator’s request and the way they’ve elected for ads to run. If you don’t like it, let the content creator know. YouTube doesn’t care.Personally, I hate the in-video kind. I don’t like those ads interrupting my video viewing myself, so I don’t want to wish them on anybody else. But that’s a choice I make in choosing not to maximize my video’s revenue-generating potential. And many would argue that it’s what we’re used to on television anyway - after all, nearly every TV show out there has multiple ads (4–7 at a time) running at multiple times spaced throughout during the show, so why should YouTube be different?(I would counter, though, that it’s NOT television, and that I go to YouTube to avoid the rampantly commercialized content, PLUS we’re now in a streaming media era with Hulu/Netflix/Amazon giants where such practices are unnecessarily intrusive and obsolete, and that advertisers need to come up with better ways to run ads than the methods they’ve been using for decades)But then again, I’m not getting much profit from my YouTube videos, either.

Can you sing me an ad jingle?

Which one do you prefer, YouTube displaying ads before the video or in middle or at the end of video and why?

The answer is from point of view of a channel creator and from a viewer's point.1st. Channel creator. Before video and in middle of video ads would be preferred as you as a viewer can't escape watching it*. Ads placed in end can be simply avoided by people closing the video or clicking on next video link.*If you are watching YouTube videos from computer you can always install plugins which will block add and you have an uninterrupted access to videos.2nd. From a viewer point of view, all ads are fine. Reasons. Ads at begining are fine as video is not yet started and I am not yet involved in video yet. At the same time I can do other work or talk with someone. Ads in middle are fine as I can take a quick loo break, or have a glass of water or grab something to eat, or have a quick short walk as eyes and legs need refreshement too. Ads in end are also fine as I am done with watching my video and I am now least interested in watching the ad.There could be also few people who would be installing ads blocker to have uninterrupted experience, however I am of the view that we should take equal care of our eyes and legs(in fact whole body) when sitting for long hrs in front of computer.

The (_____) ended the persecutions of Christians in the middle of the third century A.D.?

It was the good old strategy 'if you can't beat them, join them' pioneered by the devil himself.

That's what happened when Emperor Constantine became Christian and introduced unbiblical beliefs into the church corrupting it thoroughly. An effect the Christendom still suffers from today.
