Is The Piercing Suppose To Look Like Its Right Under My Skini Got My Inverse Navel Peircing Last

Inverse navel piercing?

I have a flat stomach and really want a navel piercing but I have a bit of an outie belly button. I do not have enough skin above my navel for a piercing but I might have enough underneath the navel. Is this called an inverse navel piercing? And what kind of jewellery is available for this type of navel piercing. Ive always loved the ones that have dangling bits, but I guess I wont be able to wear these on this type of piercing?

Is my inverse navel piercing rejecting?

I got it done in November, and it was all good and stuff until I had something that looked like a blood bubble near it? That popped and bled quite a lot. There is still a small one there but it is slowly going away. Anyways, the piercing appears to be moving more freely, but is that just it healing? Also it doesn't really hurt unless im fooling around with it cleaning it. Basically, i'm just wondering what are the symptoms of rejection?

What are pros & cons of inverse navel piercing?

I have both! And they were pierced within about 6 months of each other. Honestly, I found no difference at all. Both catch on things from time to time, but just try to wear looser tops whilst it's healing. It's no easier to care for...I think the only difference is my inverse navel hurt a tiny bit more to pierce, but they both needed the exact same care, and had the same healing time and experience. Go for it though, I also love how they're a bit more unusual :)

Is a navel piercing supposed to itch?

Itching is good - that means it is healing.
Just try your hardest not to scratch it, and continue taking care of it by doing sea salt soaks as they are relatively new piercings.

Do NOT do epsom salt soaks -- (taken from BME) "Epsom salts are magnesium sulfate, not sodium chloride, and should not be used. "

Nor should you use rubbing alcohol, peroxide, bactine or neosporin. Or that horrible cleaning solution gun piercers give you. THey all do more harm then good and will prolong healing tme.

Skin peeling around my navel piercing?

Sounds to me like you're cleaning it with a harsh soap that is leaving your skin dry.
You want to use gentle soap, something like this: http://www.drbronner.com/DBMS/OLTT08/TeaTreeLiquidSoap.htm Organic and gentle.
You also want to use salt water soaks, use sea salt and warm water. Sop it up in a cotton ball and keep it pressed against your skin. 10 minutes at least.
Also, gently massage the area to encourage blood flow.

When I had my belly button pierced it healed very quickly by doing these things :)

Edit: Something I thought I should add, make sure you're not using rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. They're way too harsh and they kill the white blood cells that heal your piercing.

Navel Piercings! Not enough skin?

So my friend went to go get her navel pierced at proffesional shop.
She ended up coming back with an inverse navel piercing done.
[which is the bottom skin of your belly button being pierced istead of the normal top fold of skin.]

I've been wanting to get mine done and I have enough money but I'm not sure I want to get the bottom of mine pierced.

Can anyone please tell me about how much of a fold of skin do you need to get the top pierced???

This is probably a hard question to answer.
If you don't understand:
I mean how much skin, say you grab the top outer rim of your navel and pull, would you need to feel that you have there in order to have the piering done?

Please answer.
I'm worried.

What do you do if your lip piercing is sinking into your skin?

I have two lowbrets that I had done in December. Everyday I was afraid that my jewelry was sinking into my skin because they cut little wholes into the inside of my lip, creating litle divets that they would sit in. But once the swelling went down I realized that it was normal. If you can pull your lip down (or if it is the top lip, up) and push on the jewelry from the outside and the plate freely comes out of the divet in your lip, then you should be fine. Do this everyday just to check. If it does not come out of your lip, when doing this. Go to a piercer ASAP. It doesn't even need to be the same place you had the piercing done.

Inverse navel piercing for outie bellybutton

Is My Navel Piercing Too Shallow?

I Got Mine Pierced About..Four Weeks Starting Tomorrow. I Have A Curved Barbell &Worried That Maybe The Piercing Isn't Deep Enough. I Can Feel The Barbell Through My Skin &It's Starting To Scar A Little Around The Holes. Ohh Plus It's An Inverse Navel Piercing B/C I have A Slight Outie. There Isn't Any Pain Though &I Just Wanna Know Does It Need To Be Repierced. (Thinking About Going To A Shop &Having Them look At It?)

Is a belly button piercing suppose to bleed gewy blood from the bottom hole?

well it's very possible that you bumped it. perhaps in your sleep or even during the day and you just didn't notice the pain. your belly button piercing will ooze a gooey fluid for the first 3-6 months (depending on how your body takes to the healing process). that's normal. and it will range from clear to whitish or even yellow. the second you see green, see a doctor. the gooey blood you're seeing is just a mixture of the normal discharge and blood from something.
like i said:
-you could have bumped it
-while cleaning you could have torn off a scab somewhere
-if the jewelry was moved, the skin inside the piercing could have been attaching itself to the jewelry (NORMAL, don't panic) and you could have unintentionally torn it apart.

there's nothing for you to worry about at all.
just make sure you're very careful with it.
while it's bleeding, be even more careful than usual. i'm not saying to clean it more because that never helps. do not clean it more than 3 times a day. you can easily dry it out or irritate it farther, i had this problem. i mean careful as in, pretend its that first week you got it done until it heals. treat it likes it's fresh. baby it. piercings are very delicate and need a whole lot of tender, loving and especiall gentle care. and time!!

basically though, you're okay. don't let anyone tell you that it's infected or that something is wrong with you.
