Is There A Comic With Nightcrawler And Shadowcat

Shadowcat vs Nightcrawler. Who would win and why?

Nightcrawler. Both mutants have interesting powers, however, Nightcrawler has a better edge of winning. While Shadowcat can walk through walls, Nightcrawler can just teleport himself on the other side and surprise her with a punch. Both Nightcrawler and Shadowcat are good fighters, only that Shadowcat won't have to oppurtunity to touch Nightcrawler. Even if they are face to face, and Shadowcat tryes to fight Nightcrawler, he can just teleport himself high into the air and escape her, or even better, teleport himself behind her and BAM! Shadowcat is down. I think that Nightcrawler will just keep teleporting around her and hit her as much as he can until she loosed, since they would both be pretty evenly matched in a fist fight.

Winner: Nightcrawler

What is Wolverine and Nightcrawler's relationship like in the Marvel Comics?

Best buddies. Kurt was an incredibly tolerant and religious mutant/ man, which was the polar opposite of Logan. At first their ethical boundaries caused friction between them, but whenever one was in serious trouble then the other was the first to be fighting by their side.Logan considered Kurt to be his brother and would go through hell for him. I’m sure Kurt felt the same way.

Who would win in a fight: Nightcrawler and Mystique vs. Cyclops and Spider-man?

i agree with you
(if only spider-man had a different partner)

If Shadowcat phased someone through a wall....?

I think the animators were VERY careful to avoid this situation, but you're right.

It is pretty weird. Technically, I don't think that the person would be split in half. (Assuming, of course, that by in half you mean literally in half.) The body would definitely be in two different rooms.

A person would remain stuck, I think, because the part of their body that is through a wall is in a "phased" mode that Shadowcat creates. If she left them there, then the parts of the body outside of the wall would become solid, like normal. However, I think that the phased mode would continue to exist as such because there is no where else for the matter to go. There is wall that exists where the body is, and unless the body is in a phased mode, there would be two layers of matter, which doesn't make sense. The person is stuck between two solid parts of their body, and therefore unable to move. (Sort of like a nut and bolt.)

The only way that them becoming crushed makes sense to me is if body turns solid after Shadowcat leaves you there. In that case, I imagine it being more like "slicing" rather than 'crushing". I imagine it being like the board in the wall gets subsituted or absorbed into your own body... (Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I like my other theory better.)

...But that's just my opinion. Hope that helped!

In what x-men issue is Nightcrawler kidnapped by Stryker?

William Stryker never captures Nightcrawler in Marvel Comics. He tries to use Xavier's brain power to locate and kill all mutants, and he also captured Kitty and tried to shoot her brains out on national television. After being broken out of jail by lady Deathstrike, a human in the comics, with cybernetic implants (claws) and a mutual hatred of mutants, he stormed Xavier's mansion and bravely killed several small children; after gelaning information from another child he apprehended named Icarus. He was given every type of known cancer simultaneously by Elixir until he died horribly for payment of his deeds.

I want to read the X-Men comics, but...?

I'm somewhat of a "pro-nerd", and I work at a comic shop so I might be able to help.

If you start too far back, you might get discouraged because the writing is bad/cheesy in old comics, not nearly as enjoyable as newer comics. Everyone is basically right, there are so many comic arcs that jumping in is fairly easy to do.

-My recommendation is Astonishing X-Men for older stuff (its not 'old', but not new either). You can still gets the trades (a trade-paperback is a collection of several single issues in one book) easy enough and it is really good.
-Avoid Ultimate X-Men
-Uncanny is really good, but it is hard/expensive to get older stuff.

If you're looking into starting comics from now on, I recommend this:
-Start with AvX (Avengers vs X-Men). This is a huge Marvel event that will effect the entire (main) Marvel universe. I believe it is almost done at 12 issues. This sets up for MARVEL NOW.

-This fall Marvel is starting something called MARVEL NOW. It is similar to DC's New 52. They are starting many of their series over at #1, so it is a PERFECT time to jump into the comic world.

-There will be two new X-Men series starting sometime in the fall. They're X-Men Legacy and All New X-Men. A new issue will come out each month for each, so if you wanted to start collecting a series from #1, now is the time.

If you go to your local comic shop, you can "subscribe" to these comics. This means each month they will order in a comic specifically just for you, and hold it until you can pick it up, so you don't have to worry about them selling out. They can pre-order now so it'll be in the store in time for release date.

Hope that helped!
