How do you choose a college when your major is "undecided"?

You have to think hard what do you want to do in life or think about subjects which you are good at and revolve your major around it. When I was in high school, I have taken business classes and I liked it, so I am an Accounting major now. The reason why I chose Accounting was that I can easily find a job with an Accounting degree but I am interested in Finance and Economics. I am at a community college but this fall, I am going to Rutgers Business School because I live in New Jersey and it has a really good reputation plus it is cheaper than private schools.

Its hard to pick a good college without knowing what your major might be. The reason is that a college cannot be known for good reputation for all majors. So, once you pick your major, it would be easier to select a college

The undecided major college choice?

It shouldn't affect your acceptances, I would think.
It doesn't hurt to start looking at what majors you may want now, though. Nothing has to be set in stone quite yet, as it doesn't get too serious until you get into the later years of college.

When I was a HS senior deciding on a major, I went through collegeboard and made a big list of possible majors I may enjoy or that I could achieve or that may help me go far in life (basically if a major had any qualities or factors I saw as important in some way, I added it to the list. Starting broad is the best way to go about it, in my opinion, so you don't leave something out).
I then started looking at pros and cons of each one and eliminated the ones where the cons were too high, such as very low income possibilities, as I want to be able to support myself and at least live comfortably in the future.
I kept narrowing them down and started putting them in orders best to least-best (as I didn't think of any of them as bad) and once I was down to 4 or 5, I started asking my mom her opinions on each and then my dad his opinions on each, to get more perspective. It doesn't have to be your parents' opinions you ask for, just anyone who will be straightforward about what they really think, but still be supportive.
After that I just kept narrowing down until I got to two. I decided I may see one as better than the other, but I still wanted to keep the latter in the picture. So I settled for a major and a minor.

I'm not sure if that system will work for you but it worked wonders for me. When I started out I had absolutely no idea where I wanted my future to go. I honestly never really thought it through so much to find my perfect major. But it helped me to see what I thought to be types of education I valued very highly and even where my passions lie. Of course, this system may lead you to one thing now, and then something completely different in a year. That's fine. We all change our minds throughout life, and a good amount of college students change their majors (many even more than once).

You shouldn't stress about it too much. But that doesn't mean you should just put it out of your mind completely. If there's any time to start thinking about it, it is now. Good luck!

Is there a REAL "DO NOT CALL" list?

The current Do Not Call list is about the best we've got. You don't expect the politicians to force their own campaigns to abide by it, do you? Fat chance! I do call up campaign headquarters each time *I* get called, though, and I tell them that I am on the DNC list for a reason, and even if it's LEGAL for them to call me, it's also the surest way to tip my vote to the other candidate, if I was undecided. And I also call each charity headquarters and tell them the same thing, that I'm on the DNC list because I don't want phone calls!

I'd love to see the DNC list apply to all callers, no matter what their intent. If you have Caller ID, I suggest just not picking up the phone. You can also get a service from the phone company, in which all blocked info calls (where they don't show their name and number) and calls from a certain number (like 000-000-0000) will not even make your phone ring! So you don't get disturbed.

And actually, the current DNC list is actually quite effective. Before this legislation, I used to get maybe a dozen phone calls a day, and now, I almost never get objectionable calls, unless it's near an election. There's a few companies that will illegally make telemarketing calls, ignoring the DNC list, but they get shut down pretty quickly and have to pay huge fines, much larger than any profit they made from those calls.

Edit: In the US, there IS a national Do Not Call list, and all telemarketers are supposed to subscribe to a service and get updates periodically. Political campaigns, charities, and companies that the person has done business with in the past (have a pre-existing business relationship with) are allowed to call people even if they are on the DNC list. Also, if you enter sweepstakes, and they ask for your phone number, they are allowed to consider that as permission to call you. So, NEVER ENTER YOUR PHONE NUMBER on drawings or sweepstakes. Either put "Private Info" or N/A (not applicable). Most of these drawings and sweepstakes are actually just done for the express purpose of making up lists of phone numbers. If telemarketers are allowed to call at all, they have to call at "reasonable hours", which is something like 8 AM to 9 PM,

Chem - Volume -EASY BEST ANSWER?

1.
1 mole of neon occupies 22.4l
8 mole of neon occupies 22.4*8l=179.2l

2.
First find out the volume of oxygen required as:-
1 CH4 + 2 O2 -> 1 CO2 + 2 H2O
1 mole of methane requires 2 moles of oxygen
22.4 l of methane requires 44.8 l of oxygen
2 l of methane requires 4 l of oxygen

Now convert it to the required temp.and pressure gas equation.
It comes out to be 2.183150 l or 2.2 l approximately

3.
CO2 produced at s.t.p. is 2 l
Now convert it to the required temp.and pressure gas equation.
It comes out to be 0.219780 l or 0.2 l approximately

That's it
ans-1 179.2 l
ans-2 1.1 l
ans-3 0.2 l
