Is There Any Advantage Of Electronics And Telecommunication Engineering Over Computer Engineering

Computer science engineering vs electronics and communication engineering?

If you are from India and you are interested in software field you can choose CSE without second thought. As a ECE engineer with a passion of programming I brief you on the advantages and disadvantages of ECE.Advantages:1) The world is moving towards software, every field ends in the term "CODING". Doing a ECE at reputed institution will lead you to understand lot of things and enables you to so some fascinated projects which fairly incorporated both electronics and computer science. One such field is Robotics, few other fields are embedded systems, VLSI System Design, etc...2) There are lots and lots of scope for R&D in the field that is dealing with CSE and ECE.3) Doing a proper ECE you could understand few amazing concepts such as how antenae in the mobile phone radiates our voice signals, how motherboard works to form a computer.4) I personally feel that, having a deeper knowledge of Microprocessor and Micro-controller is far better than knowing a programming language, which you could learn yourself.5) Being a CSE engineer you will be bundled into the man-made technology, such as programming language. Being a ECE engineer you could explore many areas like radiation, PCB advancement etc...Disadvantages:1) There is no many employers to give opportunities for R&D in India.2) If you go ahead with CSE you will endup with a grater salary package unless you study in top institutions like NIT and IIT.This is my personal opinion!!

Which is better for my future in India: computer science engineering or electronic and communication engineering?

If you like to have more knowledge on computers then go for Electronics. ECE students can apply for 99% of CSE students jobs as well.Yes it is hard to pursue ECE then CSE. Another very very very very important thing that I can tell you is teachers in engineering college are not at all good. except in IIT, IIIT or NIT etc.. Do not except any thing from you college or teachers and do not blame them too they are as they are. Do not except about engineering in India unless you join in IIT or IIIT or NIT.If you ignore what I say. you will remember my words after 4 years. C++ is only a subject in engineering out of 42+ subjects. =I think you will get the answer if you think. All the best.

Is electronic and communication engineering a better scope than computer science engineering?

Both branches have equal scope in different areas like for government jobs, the respective core industries etc.some of the points to be mentioned areAn ece student can learn programming along with core subjects.so he /she can be placed in IT/software company which has some advantages .you will have knowledge on core subjects of electronics and you will also get to know about IT industry.you will get some really good chances to get placed in best electronic companies ,but youshould be crystal clear in your basics. But a cse/it student will have some really good chances to do MS in other countries and get placed in top MNCs a bit easily. In ece you can know about different components whereas in cse you will get to know different programming languages.Fact is if you excel in your branch and if you perform with passion and interest ,you will have a great chance in both the branches.so before taking a decision follow your heart, understand the course pattern and decide the branch according to your interest.Hope this will help.ALL THE BEST.THANK YOU.

Does electronics and telecommunication engineering contain computer languages?

Yes. It contains quite a few programming languages like c, c++ then there's java and python, MATLAB. The depth of learning each language would depend probably upon your college(IIT, IIIT, NIT, or some university, etc…). There are a lot of online sites which gives practice challenges from novice to master levels for improvement. The student chapters of your college might also give you some opportunities to learn php, SQL.Along with that the course also contain hardware programming languages like verilog and vhdl. I hope I helped :D

Is electronics and communication engineering good or not?

ECE is a very good subject. Unfortunately our universities outdated syllabus makes this course as useless. If any student picks ECE course in Universities and believes that he/she will understand ECE, he/she will get only disappointment.  The students should join the universities only for degree and they should setup a lab in their home or room and practice from the day one they join the course. If any student does this, after 4 years that student will be the pick of the Industry. The student can fix the salary. But if the students believe that they will learn something from the college then they will be eligible only for support jobs in IT companies.             I have written this in detail many of my other posts. If you really wanted to dig and understand read my answers to other questions.

Which computer languages I should learn as an electronics and communication engineering student?

Core electronics jobs usually require a basic understanding of Linux/UNIX commands along with some languages like Perl, Python and tcl. While Linux and UNIX commands are required for basic file handling and processing requirements others are required since for automation purposes they might have used. For basic learning I would suggest you to try to develop logics and algorithms to accomplish some task, using any basic language like c or c++.If you got this, you can easily learn other languages. Even if you go for directly learning those languages it would be great. Also, electronic specific languages you should learn are verilog, vhdl and if possible system verilog. Having its knowledge help you get an advantage in finding job in VLSI field. All the best..

Which is a better engineering field: computer science or electronics and communication?

This question arises among most of the high school students , waiting for seat counselling dates.Well both CSE and ECE are really good branches. I will try to give, what type of person likes a particular branch. You are the person, who needs to choose the career path. I will share my experience as an ECE graduate and working in core company and my besties from CSE.ECE is electronics and communication engineer in India and electronics and computer engineering outside. In this, you will be having all electronics based subjects. Most of the subjects will be common with CSE, like electronic devices and circuits, computer org, operating systems. Embedded sys ,vlsi ,C, microprocessors. ECE deals with computer hardware and also electronics circuits . If you are taking electronics, then you need to make your mind to do calculations each and every time. You will be having Antenna stuff in some semesters, these are really tough to learn. Even you are not interested you need to pass them. If you are good at physics and mathematics you can take ECE. Even average in mathematics is good. You can improve. Many take IT jobs without trying hard, this is because of 3- tier colleges in India and poor staff ,who fail to teach concepts properly.CSE is really good subject and many feel it easy than ECE. As this is a branch of engineering and closely associated with hardware, you will have to learn some hardware subjects as mentioned above. I saw my friends from cse cursing university for introducing those subjects and arguing with me on benefits. This is because of making you to know, how a hardware is designed and basics. As you will develop software. CSE is not just software job as in India. It's more than that, cognitive sciences, Neural networks. But, here we dream of IT job. That's not correct. If you are so passionate in neural networks and Cognitive science, do not stop with job. Go abroad and do research. This suits for most of students due to less mathematics involved.Decision remains in your hand. If you take a beach, try to work in same field, improve knowledge, read journals. Be successful.

Computer engineering (again)?

im just curious about it, can you give me a..
brief description about computer engineering
pros and cons
things/achievements that would be helpful
things that computer engineering do
future jobs..

and, is it worth it or not?

and additional..
is this related to programming?
and what is that programming thingy? (making programs? >.<)
what subjects must i study well so that i can have a reference when i go C.engineering?

PLEASE answer my question, dont make me confuse about things.
last time i post the upper part of this question and i got an answer that is out of question..

like this format...
question:
whats your name??

answer:
i live in the house.

(lame answers are not acceptable.. PLEASE)
