I have Directv, too, and receive RFD-TV on channel 345. There are several horse themed channels. And, in the next few weeks, tune to NBC for coverage of the World Equestrian Games in Sundays. The did a show about the Tevis Cup (Endurance Racing) and Al Dunning, of Reining Fame, is now doing a weekly show called "Training and Taming a Wild Mustang." The channel has been around for a while, but it doesn't seem to have traction or distribution in major markets. Animal Planet also has a couple of horse related programs including the "reality" series call Jockeys and Road to the MacClay. TSN is a Canadian station, the only way you can get hockey games that are broadcasted on TSN is if you have the center ice package.

The Haskell Invitational at Saratoga Race Course will be on TVG and HRTV, unless you have those channels on your Directv system, you can not see it on tv. TVG is channel 602, unless you have that channel you are able to watch the race live on July 29. HRTV is not available on Directv. Hope I helped.
