Yes, but Hamachi is kind of unreliable. You could use Tunngle instead, or for a hassle-free experience just pay for a Minecraft Realm if you can afford it. You can then just give your friends the realm information for them to get in.

I would like to host a Minecraft server for some people in my school from my PC at home, but I don't want to use any money on it. The problem is that I have an IP address that keeps changing and I would need to send it to the players every few hours. Hamachi does solve that problem, but at the same time, people in the school need to install Hamachi, but can't because they are not admins. The only thing left is to get a static IP address by getting a server to use or to get a static server to install Minecraft on. That costs as well. Please help. Thank you

Alright so me and all my friends play a lot of Minecraft on PC and we use Hamachi but it's literally the worst thing ever made. We are always having problmes with Hamachi. One of us always has to uninstall it or has a blue tunnel(relayed tunnel) or has a VPN problem. I know I can go download the minnecraft server off minecraft.net (and I have) but we also play a lot of Tekkit and Hexxit on the TechnicLauncher. So is there any way I can host a server on both Minecraft and any of the mod packs on the TechnicLauncher without Hamachi?? If so how can I do it? Thank you

The minecraft server doesn't regenerate a new map if a previous one has already been generated. All you have to do is delete the folder with your previously generated map (this would be the 'world' folder). Once you do this, you regenerate the map, and you start from scratch.

Okay, so I have an already setup server, which only i can join. I used Hamachi to get the IP V4 and gave it to a friend of mine. I can play on my server, I'm opped, but my friend can't join. It says can't reach the server. We both have a cracked Tekkit, server properties are setup online-mod is offline, we are connected over Hamachi. Can someone help us, please?
