Is There Anyway To Keep A Duck In A Backyard Without Getting Caught.

How do I keep ducks from pooping in my yard?

We have a house on the river and only stay there on weekends in the summer. Our problem is that our neighbor lives there year round and feeds many wild (now tame) ducks. They hear her porch door slam and they come from all over. After they eat they walk to our yard and poop. We have many friends with children that pull up on their boats to visit and play all afternoon. Nobody can walk in the yard or on the beach without out sandals on. Let alone play volley ball or frisbee or have the children nap in the shade on a pallet! We have tried mowing the grass before we start playing but all that does is stir everything (poop) up. We have called the game warden and the local health dept. We have no leg to stand on. One game warden suggested, unofficially, that we trap the ducks and carry them far far away. This lady loves her ducks and my husband and I hate to be mean but we are tired of walking around the tons of little land mines! I welcome your suggestions!!!!

How do I keep Ducks out of my yard?

Do you have a dog? If you have a dog keep your dog on the porch for a few days it will make your porch an inhospitable place for them to stay. If you don't have one then borrow a friends. If you are worried that the dog will catch the ducks then keep it tied up on the porch.

Lots of airports around the country uses dogs to chase away ducks and geese and they are usually too fast for the dog to catch but they are scared of the dog.

Usually if you do this for a few days the ducks will not come back so it's not a permanent home for the dog.

How do I get rid of the maggots on my ducks wound without hurting it?

first of all . .
why wasn't the wound treated as soon as it happened?
maggots appear after a few days of the wound being open. . . very often in warm weather . . they don't just come onto the duck over night.

As i cannot see the wound myself and get an idea of the severtiy of the wound . . I would take it to a local vet. . or at least ring up the vet for advice. . on what to do =)

otherwise It will become infected and your birds life will be at risk

until you can get attention from the vet. . .
seperate the duck from the rest, and bath the wound will luke warm water . . .and keep the duck rested.

But do not even think of stitching it up yourself or doing a diy version

How do I keep my neighbors ducks out of my yard?

My neighbor has a flock of pet ducks. The last 3 days they have insisted on walking 1/8 mile up the road to my yard. They come right to the front door and walk around on the concrete. They have crapped all over the place. What do I do? I don't really want to kill them, but you can't walk out the front door without stepping in green crap!

Ducks sometimes lay singleton eggs in weird places. Unless there is a nest and multiple eggs, chances are that the egg is abandoned and there are no worries. If you do end up with a ground-nesting duck in your yard, then I would recommend putting up temporary fencing around the duck and her nest. Once the ducklings hatch, they will not need to return to the nest and the whole little family can be carefully and gently encouraged out of the gate and toward a body of water.

I have successfully smoked weed in my room with no repercussions for some time now.Although my parents know and generally don't have a problem with me smoking weed (better than being an alcoholic or prescription drug abuser, right?) They do not like me smoking in my room for the reason of lingering smell and the fact that it is (stupidly imo) illegal. So, if I do feel like having a smoke I'll usually adhere to a few “rules” to make sure that I don't get caught green handed.Only smoke after they have gone to bed (or during a free house)Make sure you go toilet and stock up with snacks and water/drinks before you smoke so that you have no need to leave your room whilst still 'airing' out the roomPut a towel, old jeans or tracksuits along the bottom of your room door and also cover the keyhole (if you have one) with a jacket or something.Make sure to have your windows (or balcony door) wide open during your smokeLeave the windows/balcony door open for as long as possible after you smoke (30/45 minutes at the very least) (I have a designated smoking blanket for those cold nights)It may sound obvious but don't go and make a lot of noise and start screaming out laughing or coughing your lungs out so loud that your whole street hears it. (I'll usually watch something or play some games with headphones on)And don't over do it! I mean I love me a smoke but a second joint or bowl or whatever in your evening session alone is usually just overdoing it and means you have to worry about the smell a lot more.If you stick to those rules you should never really have an issue. For me this has worked very well but you must realise that I have a relatively small room with a large balcony door which allows for a lot of air circulation and parents who aren't expressly trying to catch me out (after all, they do know that I'm somewhat a connoisseur). Also, I smoke joints so if you're ripping a bong or vaporising, chances are that the smell will be less of an issue for you than myself meaning you don't have to have your windows open for as long a time.Ultimately I would recommend that you cut down on smoking in your room and save that money for a trip to Amsterdam or a legal state in the U.S. where you will notice an incredible leap in quality and a experience a much more relaxed smoking environment.Hopefully that helps!

How can I get rid of unwanted ducks in my yard?

I understand because their poop can be kind of toxic! This sounds extreme change to your lifestyle but get a cat or dog. If you can't add cat or dog to your family maybe borrow a friend's or family's dog to bark them away for a week by keeping the dog leashed up in the front yard. The ducks will figure the dog is there to stay and leave for another home sweet home. I think if you got a plastic owl statue, the ducks would figure out it isn't real and probably not be phased by it. Also, this sounds extreme but get a small blow horn and blow it at them a little. Also, the ducks might be scared of dry ice or smoke from a grill. I feel your pain because my neighbors like the squirrels and feed them but the squirrels bring the food trash in my yard.
