Is There Going To Be A Third Magnolia League Book

Anyone Know Anything About Houston, TX?

WOW...Juan is quite comprehensive. All I can tell you is that the Hotel Derek is located in a really great spot (and no, in that area there really isn't much that is more reasonably priced). The hotel is located at Loop 610 & Westheimer which is one block from the world renowned Houston Galleria (Huge mall) and very near many of Houstons' hot spots for nightlife. Take a cab...
As far as dining, your hotel is centrally located and you can pick & choose as you like. Sorry, I would recommend some places but I don't know what you like and Houston has it all.
If the consierge at the Derek doesn't know about what you are interested in just call the St. Regis Hotel (formerly The Ritz-Carlton & is only a couple blocks away from your hotel) and ask for the consierge...he will answer all of your questions and you are getting a free service as they will presume that you are a guest there & are paying a fortune.
I know...dishonesty isn't good but you only have ONE weekend...Make the best of it and please don't think badly of me.
Enjoy your trip!

Forbidden Romance Books?

The Magnolia League by Katie Crouch- The love interest is somewhat forbidden (popular guy + new girl in town). He's clean and very put together. She's hippie and somewhat clumsy. The focus of the plot is more on bigger things, but this romance was a nice addition.

Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier- This is another "he's too good for me but I think he may like me" kind of scenario. Like Magnolia League it's not 100% forbidden but still unlikely and not entirely appropriate in their world. There's time travel and fighting and magic- all rolled into one wonderful story.

Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen- This is a fun book because while you read you learn a lot about how circuses used to be run (the author actually researched this). The forbidden love is between the circus vet and a star performer. There is a mature part and some violence, but if you're the right age it's a wonderful book with loveable characters. This is the only book on this list that does not have a series.

Fallen by Lauren Kate- This was, I admit, not my favorite book, but I gobbled it up when I was still a little lovesick. This is a creature-human forbidden love between a girl and an angel. Their history is kind of sweet, and the setting for this book is interesting. Might be worth a read.

Legacy by Cayla Kluver- This book starts out incredibly slow, but once it picks up it's hard to put down. This is a medieval setting, and the forbidden love is between a princess and a boy from a foreign country that just so happens to be hostile toward her kingdom. I really liked how some seemingly unlovable characters (one "villain" in particular) turned out to be somewhat likeable.

A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray- This book is set in the time when girls wore corsets and had to be escorted everywhere by gentlemen. It is probably the least romance-focused of these books, but the romance develops through the series over time and so far (just started the third book) it is beautiful. The boy is Indian, and the girl is English. They are not only forbidden to be together by society, but by the orders to which they belong to. There is a lot of magic, but a lot of historical (mostly through behavior, clothes, etc.) goodies, too. This is a great adventure in itself.

Hope these helped!

How long does it take for regular mail to send from Austin, Texas to San Antonio, Texas on an average schedule?

It depends on where you mail it from. If you mail it from a home mailbox you can give it two full business days. If you drop it at a corner mail box like the big blue ones that are on the corner around most towns you would have to drop it before 5pm since the post office usually collects the mail from these at or around 515 pm. only . This would also be a 2 business day delivery. But if your drop it in the corner box after 515 pm THEN you can count on it taking 3 business days since it wouldn't be picked up till 515 the following day.The only way in Texas to make sure you get it there within 3 days with out paying express shipping is to deliver it to the post office where it will more then likely be processed and sent out within a few hours. What happened was a few years ago the USPS started breaking up the places where mail was sorted to save money. Great example is in Conroe Tx. If you mailed a letter from Conroe to someone in Conroe it goes to Houston by truck to be sorted and then brought back to Conroe for delivery. This makes the time to get a letter across town almost three days. I'm sure there is some kind of system in Austin or San Antonio that is set up the same.So if I was mailing a letter from Austin to San Antonio I would just count on 3 days to be safe. It would be 2 more then likely but if I had to plan on trying to mail something that had a time restriction I would definitely plan on 3 days just to be safe.

Where did Balzac say "There goes another novel"?

In the movie Annie Hall, after the main character has sex with a woman, he says "as balzac said, there goes another novel". I googled it and couldnt find anything.

How long does it take mail to come from Austin Texas to Houston Tx?

Depending on whether you mail it from the post office or a drop box it will take 2 to 3 business days. If you get it to the post office it should be scanned and shipped that day but if you put it in a drop box it has to be picked up, then delivered to the post office, then sorted and scanned. This could delay your mail from getting there. If you count that physical day then it could take up to 3 days. Also, Houston is a city of 6 million people, so sorting and getting the mail out to different parts of the city or county is also a timely process. Although it is only 165 miles between cities, the process is quite complicated. In Texas if you drop the mail off after 5 pm at one of these USPS drop boxes then you can add another day to your delivery time since most of the time they only pick the mail up once a day at 5pm. Best practice is to drop any mail you have off before 5 pm to insure a 2 to 3 day delivery time.https://texashopper.com/
