Is There Pro Volleyball For Women And How Much Do They Get Paid

Pro Volleyball Earnings vs. Pro Tennis Earnings?

The difference could be attributed to a couple different things but the most prevelent is probably viewership. The fewer people a sponsor can get their name in front of, the less money they're willing to provide for any given sport.

I live in Cincinnati and get to see the results of both the Cincinnati tournaments. The AVP Crocs Cup Cincinnati Open will bring in about 30,000 paid viewers over the course of the tourney. Conversely, The Western & Southern Masters Tennis Tournament will see 180,000 paid attendees; SIX TIMES that of the AVP.

Since both tournaments are considered top tier in their respective sports, it's probably a reasonable model to use for any tournament attendance comparison between the two. So it would stand to reason that most tennis tournaments would pay out significantly more prize money because the sponsors can simply get their name in front of more people and thus are willing to invest more into the tournament.

Hope that sheds some light. Oh and to answer your question directly, even though a tennis tournament by it's nature should have more prize money, my answer is still YES! The differences as well as the enormity of the cash is staggering sometimes. LOL!

How much do volleyball players get paid a year and monthly?

Depends upon what area you are speaking of.

Over in Europe, one can become a pro volleyball player, much like the guys can play pro basketball or football. They make a modest living playing, but their room and board is taken care of by the teams.

In the US, the beach tour is where the pro money is. They make money by winning or placing in the tournaments on the schedule. Some of the bigger names get paid just for playing. They also get sponsorships and endorsement deals with companies, like Gatorade, Nike, Spalding, Wilson, and so on.

Olympic players aren't supposed to be paid for playing, but with the new rules on not necessarily being professional by getting money, they can sign endorsement deals. That typically doesn't happen unless they are about to go pro, or it is a sport-specific sponsorship.

College players can get scholarships, and that is all. If you play any college sport, you can't make money playing that or any sport, otherwise you lose your amateur status, and it makes you ineligible for NCAA play.

But for the pro beach - only the HUGE players can pull in over a million a year. But otherwise, they get the money they win in tournaments and their endorsement deals. If you have the means for self-support, and you don't necessarily need a paycheck consistently, then going pro is the way for you to go. But otherwise, I would just keep it a hobby and go for a career.

Are Volleyball players rich?

well, its possible but not as easy as that. you have to be a top player. like everything pro you gotta train hard to be in the $$$$$

sorry but its the truth, gl. experience open beach volleyball talking here!

Im 5.2 in a half, is volleyball a good career for me?

Yes! Women and Men have made career as Volleyball Players and Coaches all over the World. There are pros making 6 fugues or more. They pay you by how good your are at playing or coaching. At your height now you would make a great DS or Libero and if you
grow some more it want hurt you skills. You just make an adjustment to your height as you grow and always keep your skills set current. Learn the whole game so you want have to make to many adjustment if you grow 6fts. It would still be all good. Have you when to any camps or day clinics. It will help your game a whole lot. Because its hand on training. The Coach or Trainer will be there to correct you mistakes on the spot. Always practice in your free time on you skills. Practice makes you better.

How much do professional volleyball players make?

The only person giving a decent answer is Gonçalo Hall.I am a pro volleyball player and I know some of the best players who perform here in Italy. If you look for >500$ or more than China, South Korea and Japan are the answer but only a small minority of players go there. Probably the best performing in national teams the year/s before joining the Asian club.Italy/France/Germany/Russia are the best championships in the world; here salaries goes from 20k to 500k a year, the 20k are for 20/21 years old who are just going into the professional world while top players get around 350/400k a year, if you are playing in a foreign country it means you are probably gonna get a higher paying contact ( applies 90% of the time). The fact that Chinese and other Asian teams are able to pay that much is because they allow just one foreign player for every team, so they go all-in with a top player. In Europe where you have from 3 to 8 foreign player for team usually the contracts aren't that high.
