Is This A Good Audition Song

What songs are good for an SM audition?

It doesn’t necessarily matter what language you sing or what kind of song you sing. The most important thing is being able to show them all that you are capable of.If you think you have a stronger voice, pick a song with strong or heavy vocals. If your voice is more sweet and light, then pick a song that fits your vocal range rather than a song full of high notes you can’t reach.I mostly recommend that if you have perfect Korean pronunciation, then sing a Korean song and show them that you are capable of learning (or if you’re already fluent) Korean. If you can’t speak Korean or have a hard time pronouncing things, then sing a song in your own language. If you mess up your Korean pronunciation, they will definitely cross you off that list.As for suggestions, I’m not really sure. It really depends on how your vocals are. I’ll try my best.English:Josh Groban - You Raise Me UpLittle Mix - Wings (Note: it’s easy to add some charm while performing this song!)Adele - Someone Like YouAdele - Rolling in the DeepTori Kelly - Paper HeartsKelly Clarkson - StrongerJohn Legend - All of MeBeyonce - HaloKorean:BigBang - If YouIU - Good DayLee Hi - BreatheIU - Autumn MorningIU - Through the NightTaeyang - Eyes, Nose, LipsI mostly recommend solo artist songs. Especially IU.I would have some Taeyeon songs on the list, but I did not, because if you sang a song from the company, the company will compare you to their own artist. The company already knows how their own artists sang their songs. Don’t sing a song from SM unless you can sing better than the artist themselves.

Is this a good audition song?

honestly, what you audition with depends entirely on what quality of your voice it is that you want to show off. If you have a really nice resonant alto voice and that is the type of part that you want to get, then feed the birds is indeed a very good song to audition with. If you have a really nice country-style voice, sing a country song. If you can sing really high and there is a part that you would like to get that has higher notes, sing a song with high notes in it to let them see that you can do it.

What are some good audition songs?

Don't sing "Popular" from Wicked - not a belt song, not an alto/mezzo song, and very overdone! Avoid "On My Own" like the plague as well as it's the most overdone song in the history of the world. Here are some other options:
- I Get A Kick Out Of You or Anything Goes (Anything Goes)
- Come To Your Senses (Tick Tick Boom)
- Fine Fine Line (Avenue Q)
- Where Am I Going (Sweet Charity)
- Freddy My Love (Grease)
- Heaven Help My Heart (Chess)
- Roxie (Chicago)
- Somewhere That's Green (Little Shop of Horrors)

Hopefully one of those works for you! Break a leg!

A good upbeat audition song?

Hey Alice!

Ok, well you should always follow some pretty general guidelines when auditioning/choosing a song.

Don't sing anything overdone or popular (Wicked, Rent, etc.)
Sing for the part you want. (If they're funny, sing funny. Sad, sing sad.)
Believe in yourself and choose a song you're confident with.
Have fun :)

If you follow all four of those steps, you'll be sure to land a callback and from there it's out of your hands! As far as songs go, you're looking for something that's upbeat and probably funny. You can more than likely belt, so I'd sing something that can show off that range, but provide a character as well.

Shy from Once Upon a Mattress
Born to Entertain from Ruthless
If They Could See Me Now from Sweet Charity
I Know Things Now from Into the Woods

All of this music (I believe) can be found in karaoke form at http://www.hamienet.com , but sheet music is a little bit more difficult. You may have to end up buying it from a site such as http://www.amazon.com , although you may get lucky and find someone who will send it to you.

Anyways, good luck with your audition and have a blast. Acting was meant to entertain the audience and the actors :) Break a leg and I wish you the very best.

What songs should I sing for my K-pop audition?

For a Kpop audition you can sing any song but there is some criteria to fit.Try to make it within 20–45 seconds. It shouldn’t be a full song.Make sure it highlights your vocal capability. Pick a song that doesn’t strain your voice but also shows your skills.NEVER sing a song from the company. Although this might make it seem like you are really happy to join their company, many people will think that you are trying to say that you are better than their company.NEVER sing a song from the companies enemy. The sad truth is, this is still an industry and there is still competition. For example; if you audition at BigHit, don’t sing EXO because EXO is BTS’s greatest competitor. You can generally sing in any language but it is easier to be judged if you sing in Korean. Good luck!~

What are some good audition songs for Bring It On: The Musical? I'm auditioning for the role of Nautica so I'm looking for a more upbeat song that's within my range (alto/mezzo).

Rather Be Me - Mean GirlsA Way Back to Then - Title of ShowI Can Hear the Bells - HairsprayThe History of Wrong Guys - Kinky BootsMe and the Sky - Come From AwayIreland - Legally BlondeRight Hand Man - Something Rotten! These are all upbeat songs I use for auditions that are in my mezzo/alto belting or dynamic range. If you’re allowed to do something from the show, you should definitely sing It Ain’t no Thing though.

What are some good American Idol audition songs?

This is a hard question because it really depends on the person auditioning. You really want something that shows off the qualities of your own voice, whatever those strengths may be.However, I would recommend never choosing an extraordinarily well-known song, or one that was done amazingly by someone like Whitney Houston or Aretha Franklin. That tends to not go nearly as well as the singer thinks it will. You also might want to avoid slower songs or songs that have long breaks in them; remember, you've only got so many seconds to sell yourself. Also, pick something you can make your own; the judges don't want to hear you sing the same version of the song that the original artist sang. This means you should try to stick to things with fairly simple melodies that can be embellished at your discretion. For me, personally, I would pick something set a little lower, but with some nice high notes mixed in, or good places where I could add them in. I like Stand By You a lot. Josh Groban's You Raise Me Up is extremely easy to modify and create nice riffs on. I'm also a big fan of classic rock, so I would likely consider singing something like Jukebox Hero by Foreigner or Come Sail Away by Styx.

Good musical audition song for 14-year-old boy?

Here are a couple suggestions of Songs from musical RENT, its my favorite musical, plus the songs are bit easier to sing because the arrangement is more modern:
"You'll See" From Rent
"Will I?" From Rent
"Halloween" From Rent
"Your Eyes" From Rent

Some non musicsal songs:
"Lean on Me" by Bill Withers (but a great version is from the GLEE soundtrack Vol.2)
"Smile" by Charlie Chaplin (buyt again a great version can also be found on the GLEE S.T. Vol. 2)

I hope these couple suggestion will help you out, if these don't work for your audition song, they are still all great songs for you to listen to! Try listening to The GLEE soundtracks Volume 1 & 2, they might help you out! :) Good luck!

Need a good audition song for Willy Wonka, Jr?

I'm auditioning for Willy Wonka, Jr this summer and need a good audition song. I would really like to get the part of either Veruca or Violet, and I haven't been able to find a young enough song to use. I'm an alto, and many of the young songs that I did find were too high for my voice. Can anyone suggest some songs? Thank you SO much!!
