What is a good gaming PC build for $800?

Hi, here’s the build I recommend. It’s a little over budget, but it’s worth the extra money:System Build - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core, GeForce GTX 1060 3GB 3GB GA... - PCPartPickerCPU: Ryzen 5 1600Motherboard: ASRock AB350 Pro4Memory: Team Vulcan DDR4–3000 16 GB (2x8 GB)Storage: i. WD Blue 1 TB WD10EZEXii. SanDisk SSD Plus 120 GBVideo Card: Zotac Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 3 GB MiniPower Supply: EVGA 500B 80+ BronzeCase: Corsair 100RTotal Cost: $825.85This build will run all current games at 1080p at high to ultra details at 60 FPS. For the price, it’s a great deal, however, I would recommend waiting a few months for the miners to settle down, and by then you’ll be able to get a GTX 1060 6 GB instead for the same price(or close to it), which will be around 10% faster, and will have twice the VRAM. For AAA gaming, a 1060 6 GB is far better than 1060 3 GB.If the extra $25 is too much, downgrade the CPU to a Ryzen 5 1500X, it will bring costs down to around $805. However, for that $20 extra, you’ll get two extra cores and 4 extra threads, so the 1600 is the far better choice, and my personal recommendation. The rest is up to you and the flexibility of your budget. If you want to get the 1060 6 GB today, drop the SSD and step up to the Asus Dual 1060 6 GB, it will increase the cost to $826.20, and you’ll slow down other aspects of your computer to get better gaming performance. If that’s a bargain you’re willing to make, you can remove the SSD. This’ll slow down application loading and boots, but will increase gaming performance and longevity of your GPU.Hope this helps. Cheers!

Is it a good time now to build a gaming PC?

Due to fluctuating prices of individual components, one could argue that it’s never a good time to build a PC. For the most part, component prices aren’t bad. The exception to this is the GPU market. Due to the cryptocurrency mining mess, GPU prices are a lot higher than what they should be. Prices are slowly returning to normal which would lead me to the conclusion that one should build now because once nVidia’s next generation stuff comes out, prices for that will likely skyrocket and won’t be worth the purchase.Besides, one doesn’t need the bleeding edge of video cards to have a good experience. I still run a GeForce Titan which is a 7th gen GPU and I can still play most games on max settings at 1080p with no major frame rate issues. Bearing in mind that a GTX 1080 (10th gen) is about 130+% faster than my Titan, you could do 1440p gaming at max settings with no major frame rate issues.I usually budget about $2500 for a gaming rig. This gets me pretty close to top end and is usually the biggest bang for the buck. Spending more than this leads to diminishing returns on the investment. Unless of course you have money to burn and want the bleeding edge of gaming power. The rig I’m using currently, I built 5 years ago knowing that I wouldn’t have any opportunity to really upgrade so I sunk about $4000 into it, the Titan being $1000 of that cost at the time. It still works well for me today.A decent resource for keeping track of what’s going on is Maximum PC magazine. Especially when it comes to PC builds.

How to build a gaming pc?

First Figure out if you want AMD or Intel Based Computer. Note AMD is far cheaper and does the job just as good or better than Intel. Intel is very pricey.
second Choose your motherboard if amd for example and processor
Go with an Nvidia video card that does direct x 12 or 12.1
Go with Corsair 750 .. pick any dvd drive any case and get a monitor if you dont have one that has 300 cd or better and refresh rate of 3ms no higher than 5ms
I sugest you get an an 8 core processor... and get two sticks of dual channel 4gb memory sticks G skill memory is good. YOu can find everything and reviews on Newegg.com that is the go to place for building a gaming system.. one last thing processor amd processors have been sized as am3plus for years now the new size is am4... so if you get an am4 processor make sure you get an am4 motherboard.. same is if you get an am3plus make sure you get an am3plus motherboard.. if you get the am3plus sized processor i recommend the amd 8350.. you can save money buy doing that.. copy and paste this information and always have it. people will agree with everything that I say.. this is the formula

Trying to build a budget $700 gaming PC. Is this a good build for the price?

I’m quoting Flowey from Undertale: “That’s a wonderful idea!”I’ve done it! Here’s my build:FireDFL's Completed Build - Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core, GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB, SPEC-02 ATX Mid Tower - PCPartPickerMy advice for you:Change the i5–6600K to an i3–7100, the motherboard to a cheaper B250M motherboard, and the RAM to 8GB. Then purchase more storage and a better video card. The reason I have slightly advanced components then what I am recommending you is because I occasionally do some video editing and rendering.

How much money should I spent in a PC gaming build?

Well first I’d point you to this excellent guide site Logical Increments, the PC Builder's FriendThis is dedicated to builds for gaming. They have guides for VR etc. but this main page is gaming.Pick the Game you’re most interested in building for (Something like Battle Field 1, Star Citizen, etc.)Then Look at similar games (Ones built on the same engine: Unreal, Cryengine, Frostbite, etc.) This will give you an idea of performance the cards will do in a particular way. If the game is already out you can skip that step and look at reviews with people who have various video cards.Say you wanted to play Battlefield 1 at 1920x1080 take a look and see what cards people are using and what their FPS is in this era getting 60 FPS is what most of us consider minimum for an Action Shooter. I prefer 90+ better reaction time etc for myself. So if we assume you want to game at this level and it’s Battlefield 1.Logical Increments, the PC Builder's Friend here they list a build and it’s their Very Good ($650)I typically recommend the Superb to Exceptional range for those who want amazing Machines (Bragging rights/Capable of doing quick 3D and Video Rendering Tasks)But for average gamer I recommend their Very Good to Excellent Range. So, back to topic say you built the $650 very good one if this is your first PC you’ll probably want a good screen, a Gaming mouse, and a decent Keyboard. For a Good Monitor ~$100 for 1920x1080, Great Monitor is in the ~$200 for 1920x1080 above 120 Hz.Gaming mouse currently the top end ones are Razer Deathadder, Logitech’s G502, there are others but I’d say these are the high end ones for gaming.Mechanical Keyboards are really nice but not “needed” if you’ve got everything else it’s a noticeable upgrade but for repeated tasks like pressing the same button repeatedly it is more responsive in that way then the typical keyboard.I noticed this while taming horses in Black Desert it was way easier with my G+710 keyboard than my Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 (a very nice keyboard).
