How to dress for the melting pot restaurant?
SO FUN!! One of my favs. I'd be happy to help. It's kind of a nice place. Low lighting, tablecloths, cloth napkins, etc. So you don't want to look like you just went jogging. The majority of people you'll see there (depending on time) are going to be pretty casual. You won't see many ties or nightgowns. Is it a intimate date or a celebration for more than two? You might want to think about who you're going with, if you want to look better/equal to those people and how the general tone for the night will be. On a date, during the evening, I'd go semi-formal. Anything else: nice casual. Also, know that they have a picture-taking service that comes complete with a Melting Pot frame. So realize that what you wear may be emblazened forever somewhere.
Is it ok for a marine to wear dress blues to a nice restaurant?
Alot of people forget or just don't know that the uniform can be used as a "leave and liberty" uniform within the United States, but only the Blues "B", ribbions not medals. He could wear them, but I am going to have to agree that he would be a little overdressed. If he wants to impress you and feels strongly about wearing them, go ahead. No rules say not. He should consider his service "C" uniform which would probably more acceptable and would still stand out. My wife has asked me to wear mine to an upcoming black tie event that her company is putting on and I plan to do so. But it is a private dinner and I don't feel out of place. As for weddings, you should always consult with the bride and groom about wearing your uniform. I have worn my blues to only two wedding in all my years and both times I was part of the sword detail.
What should I wear for my first date?
Ok, so for ladies on a date with a guy of course it matters about the guy, but here are some general pointers:Show off your bod: forget about being chic or elegant. That’s girl pretty. Most guys (lol straight ones at least!), are more basic than that. Show your assets off in a form fitting dress preferably! But don’t show tooooo much. So maybe if form fitting minimal cleavage and longer, or vice versa. You get the idea ;)Have your hair down, at least a bit wavy and “bed head” .For whatever reason many men seem to hate obvious makeup like red lisptick. So do the “no makeup” glow look.If you are shorter than the guy, minimal heels BUT make sure your shoes are comfortable! Nothing turns a guy off faster than some girl limping and complaining about sore feet at he end of the night.Invest in a high quality parfume that works with your body chemistry. Lightly spray it on your wrists and behind your ears. Don’t overdo it. I personally love Chanel scents.Good luck lovelies ❤️
