Is This Fast For Utorrent

Which is faster utorrent or bittorrent?

I use uTorrent and I max out at around 180 kbps.
Maybe your internet speed is too slow.
test it at
http://www.speedtest.net/index.php
Also make sure that there are plenty of 'peers' when you download stuff.
I would recommend the following sites for downloads.

good luck!

How do i make my utorrent download faster??

It will never be "100kbps always". You are asking for the physically impossible.

To understand why this is impossible, you must have at least a basic understanding of how the bittorrent technology works...

Torrent speeds are based upon how many seeders and leechers there are for a particular torrent and how much bandwidth they have set aside for upload speed. Their upload settings directly effect how fast you can download from them.

10-40kbps is about average for any torrent that has very few seeders and leechers. If you want faster speeds, find the torrents that have a higher number of seeders & leechers. Having a higher seeder to leecher ratio also helps.

I particularly search for the torrents that have over 100 seeders. Having 100+ seeders, my download speeds are usually between 100 - 450kbps.

BTW, your download speed is not 100.0Mbps. You are looking at the Local Area Connection Manager. That is NOT your internet speed. That is how fast your ethernet card is capable of communicating with a home network and your computer.

DSL is either 768kbps, 1.5Mbps, 3.0Mbps, or at the most, 6Mbps. To find your TRUE upload & download speeds, try http://www.speedtest.net but note that the results are listed in kiloBITS a second...not kiloBYTES a second. For example, 1000kilobits per second equals 125kilobytes a second. 8000kilobits equals 1000kilobytes a second etc...

All bittorrent clients show your upload/download speeds in kilobytes a second. So take your speed given in kilobits at www.speedtest.net and divide it by 8 to get your speed in kilobytes. That is your true connection speed.

BitLord vs uTorrent?

The clients will pretty much do the same thing, it's the way you alter the settings that makes the difference in speed.
Firstly if you have win xp sp2 you need to patch it so you have more than 10 half open ports. www.lvllord.de/?url=tools
determine what to set it as by dividing your upload speed by 4. www.speedtest.net will tell you your upload speed.
In the advanced preferences options in your client find the net max half open number and change it to the same as you set it in the patch. Set your maximum global upload rate, do this by taking your upload speed, dividing it by 80 and deducting 20% for example 80/8=10-20%=8. As for the clients I think utorrent is best, the interface is intuitive and it is very stable. BTW, I use a 10yr old pc with a pentium 4, 512mb of 133mhz ram for downloading and I get 1.5mb downloads I can have a movie in 20mins. It's the speed (I'm on adsl2 16mb) and settings not the equipment.

How can I make uTorrent download faster?

Use these settings:Torrent Client - Preferences - Bandwidth - Number of connections - Set aprox. 500 for eachTorrent Client - Preferences - BiTorrent - Protocol Encryption - Forced Bandwidth Allocation - High (Set download/upload limit - Unlimited)

UTorrent slows in the afternoon, fast in the morning?

This isn't a major problem, I'm just curious: why does uTorrent download so fast in the mornings (up to 300kB/s) and then slow down so much in the evenings (barely reaches about 50kB/s)? I live in England, is it because more people around the world are connected and downloading in my mornings?

Is IDM better than uTorrent?

“Torrent is better than IDM” it’s really true but not all time. Some of free IDM software (IDM Crack 6.28 Build 9 with Patch Latest Free Download) is better than torrent just depend on your right choice. My online activities started since 2008 and still now running. So I mean torrent and IDM both are useful software for download. Here torrent is old brand with many useful platform other hand, many other IDM softwares create for just consideration of modern time with new and update version. So you can try both version for easy to understand how much distant between both platform.

Which version of utorrent gives the fastest downloads?

µTorrent Stable(3.5.3 build 44396) Is the latest version available which gives you tremendous speed. However, the speed also depends upon Seeders, LeechersTo make uTorrent work fasterCheck the number of seeders for the torrent fileTry connecting the computer directly to the modem or router instead of using WIFI.Check the queue settings of uTorrent. Each file that you are downloading in uTorrent will take up a portion of your bandwidth. When more than one file is downloading at max speed, the files will take a longer time to finish. Try downloading the files one by one. Watch the first movie while you wait for the second one to finish downloading!Add more trackers. This can lead to a superb speed if the tracker has more seeds.Hope it helps you.

What is the difference between "Start" and "Force Start" in uTorrent?

At times, when you are resuming the torrents, such as after a day, the torrent checks all the files before continuing to download as too make sure whatever it ha downloaded before is still there and has not been modified by the user in any way.And sometimes we do, like while downloading movies and serials, there are those read me files by the uploader which has already been downloaded and we delete them because we don’t need them even before the download has completed. Therefore, the torrent will not start and show the error of file being missing. In these times, you will need force start to start the torrent and force recheck to resume the torrent and continuing download the data. Also, others answers have mentioned various other uses of force start. If you find my answer useful, then checkout my blog at The Stories of My Life.
