Is This Game Appropriate For My 14 Year Old

Is L.A. Noire appropriate for my 14 year old?

Its an animated video game. Its not like he hasnt seen stuff on the news or talked about things at school.

What is the most appropriate gta game?

There really is none. It has everything from bullying, to swearing, to nudity, to MORE. Just... none. My parents wanted to buy it for my 10 year old brother until some random stranger online was like "don't buy that for your little kids". Then my parents looked into it and they were wow'd by all the profanity.

Is borderlands appropriate for a 14 year old?

Here's whattheyplay.com's description:

''The ESRB gives Borderlands a "Mature" rating with the content descriptors "Blood and Gore," "Intense Violence," "Mature Humor," and "Strong Language." Blood spurts from enemies when you shoot them -- sometimes in a brief fountain spray -- and their bodies fall to the ground when they die. Occasionally enemies will lose limbs when you shoot them, and some of the more powerful guns will actually split enemies in half when they die, separating the upper half of the body from the lower half. The female character is known as a siren character, and she can use her seductive powers to daze enemies. Her powers are more suggestive than anything. Swearing is common throughout Borderlands, with words such as "damn," "d**kbag," "f**king," "p**sy," and "s**t" being used throughout. One character is said to have an abnormally formed anatomy part, and another says that he has defecated on himself. Many enemies will taunt the player during combat by swearing, graphically describing how they're going to die, or thrusting their hips and making threatening gestures.

The ESRB does not rate online interactions and co-op is a very important feature of Borderlands. Though players can certainly play through the game on their own, the majority of players opt to play this game with friends or other gamers online. Since players generally make use of headsets and voice-chat when they team up in the game, there's no guarantee that other players won't say things that are offensive to others.''

Don't listen to the user-made comments on that site though, they're filled with 10 year olds saying GTA is fine for little kids. I personally think anyone 14+ can probably handle that type of game, I played it and didn't find it too bad for a kid your age. There is blood and gore plus language and a bit a crude and mature humor. However, the only problem is that I didn't actually like the game but if you've played it before and enjoyed it then go ahead.

What are some good m games that are semi appropriate for a 13 year old?

They -aren't- appropriate. That's why they are rated M - Mature.

Whether or not your parents let you play it is up to them. They wouldn't be proper parents if they took your word that it was OK to buy them for you.

If you still want to put the evidence in front of them, send them to http://www.whattheyplay.com to look up those games. If you don't tell them the full story, you're just lying about it, and proving that you aren't ready for a game rated M.

I think Fable and Far Cry are the least offensive of the bunch, but that's just me. Fable 2 has bugs though, so you might wanna forget about that one.

What is the appropriate age to watch Game of Thrones?

The first Google result that pops up is one that says that 15+ is a good age to start. Considering the sex and gore, teens with more conservative parents might find it better to wait a little longer.I personally, started watching when I was 14. I'd finished reading the books, which have only gotten to the equivalent of S5, and couldn't wait any longer.I didn't start watching it for the sex. I didn't start watching for the blood and gore. I didn't even start watching it because that's what all the cool kids were doing.I started watching it because a book I loved had finally gotten the attention it deserved, I wanted to experience it.I think the age when you realize that you want to watch something that'll twist your emotions and test your thinking, rather than just some crappy sit-com, is the right age to start watching Game of Thrones. On a lighter note, I'd say the perfect age group to truly enjoy game of thrones is around 30 years of age. People that old would have been teenagers when the books came out, the perfect age to read, and would have grown along with they books as they slowly came out every few years. Just a hunch. ;)

Is the book Divergent appropriate for a mature 14 year old?

I would really like to read the book Divergent by Veronica Roth. The story seems very interesting, and I think I would enjoy it. I am a avid reader, and can tackle more mature books. I have read The Hunger Games Trilogy, and loved it. I have read the Twilight books (I hated them, too corny) I really like dystopian books, and I know I will enjoy this book. But do you think it is appropriate for my age?

p.s I am just asking this for my mom to see! :)
