Is This Good Edh For Casual What Cards I Should Take To Deck Pls Reply

How many creatures should there be in an edh mtg deck?

With Commander, you can go several different ways, all depending on what you're comfortable with.

Given Bruna as your commander, you'd want to go with a more enchantment heavy deck. You'd also want loot effects, as with her triggered ability, you'd find no real cost to Discard. So Merfolk Looter and similar cards (Bonded Fetch, Cephalid Broker, etc) would be wonderful. Even Magus of the Bazaar could be an advantage.

The only problem is you can't get all the great ones with her as your Commander, since things like Rancor are out of the question.

Anyway, I wouldn't say you'd need 40 creatures, you'd want relatively more enchantments instead, not to mention mana fixing, acceleration and control spells.

You really should play Kitsune Mystic though.

Deck of cards and joint p.d.f?

Hi! I need to answer the following statistics question. I have answered questions A & B and I was wondering if they were correct. However, I have no clue how to do C & D.

My question is "An ordinary deck of 52 cards is composed of 13 hearts, 13 diamonds, and 26 black cards (spades and clubs). Two cards are randomly drawn WITHOUT replacement. Let X be the number of hearts obtained and let Y be the number of black cards obtained.

a) Draw the joint distribution table of X and Y
HD = 13/52 x 13/51 = 169/2652
HB = 13/52 x 26/51 = 338/2652
DH = 13/52 x 13/51 = 169/2652
DB = 13/52 x 26/51 = 338/2652
BH = 26/52 x 13/51 = 338/2652
BD = 26/52 x 13/51 = 338/2652
HH = 13/52 x 12/51 = 156/2652
DD = 13/52 x 12/51 = 156/2652
BB = 26/52 x 25/52 = 650/2652

So the p.d.f. of f(X,Y) is as follows:

f(0,0) = DD = 156/2652, i.e., both cards are diamonds
f(1,0) = HD + DH = 338/2652
f(2,0) = HH = 156/2652
f(0,1) = DB + BD = 676/2652
f(0,2) = BB = 650/2652
f(1,1) = HB + BH = 676/2652

b) Find the marginal pdf of g(x) and h(y).
F1(x) = g(x) = 1482/2652, x=0
1014/2652, x=1
156/2652, x=2

F1(y) = h(y) = 650/2652, x=0
1352/2652, y=1
650/2652, y=2

c) Find the conditional distribution of Y, given x=1 and compute E(Y|x=1) ??
d)Find the probability distribution table of the random variable Z= X+Y ??

Any help is appreciated! :)

What are some strategies and good decks for three player MTG games?

I personally don’t think that there is any one good deck that will do explicitly well against 3 or more players, but there are some tips for doing so.Deckwise:Make your deck a rush deck. Too many times have I tried to win a game with a slow but powerful deck. *Spoilers* It never worked. You’re primary objective should be to get as strong as you can as fast as you can (without it being too inherently obvious, if possible).Try to stick to single target effects. Dealing 5 damage to 1 player is fine, but if you have a card that deals 5 damage to all players I would reconsider having it in your deck. If you absolutely must use it, wait for the endgame.Attitudewise(not a real word):Don’t talk big. It will be even more of a crushing defeat if you lose.Alliances are to be treasured, but not trusted. Keep to your alliances and help your allies out. But don’t leave yourself vulnerable to attack.Remain pacifist for as long as possible. You do not want to make early game enemies.

What are good mtg decks for a beginner?

It really depends on your preference.  There are decks designs that are based around complex interactions that are more difficult for a beginner, and you would want to avoid those (counter decks for example), but beyond that, it actually depends on how you want to play (your personality can play a lot at this point).I recommend, for a beginner, look at the pre-built decks and pick one or two that sounds fun (if you aren't having fun playing the game, what's the point?).  Better still, if you are getting into it at the same time as a friend, try to find the old Duel Decks - you get 2 decks that are fairly balanced against each other.From that, after you've played them a few times, you are likely to start finding things you'd like to improve on (I don't have enough mana for my creatures... I don't have big enough or fast enough creatures... I can't do anything against flying... how do I deal with X).  That will lead you to modifying the deck(s) to resolve those issue.If you want a specific recommendation?  Without knowing you?  Well, I recently have been playing a lot of Elves.  They are fast, can be potent, and frequently can be simple to understand.

What cards should go into my magic: the gathering binder?

this is my first binder and im wanting to take it to my local card shop to trade and hopefully make some money. im not sure what cards i should put into my binder, i have a few cards that i know people want but i also have ALOT of cards that im not sure if people want. basically, what type of cards should go into my binder? rares, mythic rares and uncommons or cards that i have alot of duplicates?

What would be a good commander for a green ramp deck in Magic the Gathering?

Another good option for green ramp commander is Animar, Soul of the Elements.The nice thing about Animar is that whenever you play a creature, all other creatures get cheaper, and Animar gets bigger. Unlike other ramp commanders, Animar can ramp almost solely by himself in certain decks. He also has built in protection from the most removal-heavy colors.Key Combos: The morph mechanic, artifact creatures, and big Eldrazi can all be cast for 0 with enough counters on Animar. Make sure to have Ancestral Statue.This allows Animar to get to infinite counters as soon as he has at least three counters on him.Another interesting option for ramp commander is actually the new Omnath, Locus of Rage.He allows you to get a 5/5 from all of the lands you put into play, so every Rampant Growth or Explore effect you use nets you an additional 5/5 and when it dies, three damage wherever you choose. Omnath allows you to ramp while also generating loads of boards presence at the same time.Key Combo Cards:For loads of extra lands and elementals all in one go.For doubling of your elementals, and then doubling again.Have fun!

What are the best EDH generals?

BEST = POPULARITY: While “best” is very subjective, I can tell you which ones are most popular right now (January 2017), based on the database called EDHRECThis week: 1. Atraxa, Praetor’s Voice2. Breya, Etherium Shaper3. Kynaeos and Tiro of Meletis4. Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder5. Meren of Clan Nel Toth6. Saskia, UnyieldingThis is not too surprising, since 1,2,3,4 and 6 are the newest commanders from the Commander 2016 product. 5 is the most powerful commander from the Commander 2015 product.Overall:1. Atraxa, Praetor’s Voice2. Oloro, Ageless Ascetic3. Meren of Clan Tel Noth4. Nekusar the Mindrazer5. Breya, Etherium Shaper6. Prosssh, Skyraider of Kher7. Sidisi, Brood Tyrant8. Narset, Enlightened Master9. Kalia of the Vast10. Marchesa, the Black RoseAtaraxa is still on top, but some older commanders make the list too. Sidisi, Narset, and Marchesa are notable as the only ones not from a Commander Product.BEST = TOURNAMENT RESULTS: It is also possible to look at Commander Tournaments to see which commanders win more often. These results are the number of times a commander has appeared in the top 8 of a commander tournament as recorded by MtG Decks Database1 . Geist of Saint Traft (171)2. Jenara, Asura of War (132)3. Elfball (120) - this is a number of possible commanders with a similar battleplan. Ezuri renegade leader might be the most archetypical, but Selvala is lumped in, as is Yisan.4. Maelstrom Wanderer (106)5. Marath, Will of the Wild (99)6. Abzan Tempo (97) - another category, this one includes Anafenza and Doran7. Titania, Protector of Argoth (96)7. What is the worst EDH deck you've made?

The worst deck, huh? Interesting.I have a deck that’s not quite as good as the others, but it’s unremarkable. I have a better one to talk about: my newest Commander deck. It may be behind my other decks, but in a certain way, it’s definitely ahead.Urza, Academy Headmaster(Officially, the deck’s commander is O-Kagachi, Vengeful Kami, but I usually ask the group which they’d prefer to see, and it’s been Urza each time so far.)It’s a five-color deck built to power out Contraptions, complete with a 45-card Contraption deck (or at least it will be once I find the last few). It has a copy of most of the cards that assemble Contraptions, and it’s filled with cards that blink permanents, such as Roon of the Hidden Realm and Brago, King Eternal, because most of the cards that make Contraptions do so once they enter the battlefield. It also has a few cards that take advantage of the fact that I’ll have a bunch of extra untapped artifacts in play, such as Blinkmoth Urn and Inspiring Statuary.After some testing, the deck seems to be a little bit weak. But, people generally leave me alone as I build some big, dumb engine, so the deck has that going for it.Some of the best moments so far:I got Urza out and activated the +1 ability. “During target opponent's next turn, creatures that player controls attack Urza if able. Dangit, Urza, I’m trying to keep you alive!Later in the same game, with a Silent Arbiter effect in play, I used Targeting Rocket to force an opponent to block my big creature. But, before combat, I used Urza’s +1 to see what I get. “Until end of turn, Urza becomes a legendary 4/4 red Dragon creature with flying, indestructible, and haste.” Dangit, Urza, I can’t attack with you!Progenitor Mimic copying Darksteel Juggernaut.An opponent has a Mind's Dilation. I cast a spell, and he flips over the top card of my library to find… Crafty Octopus. You can keep that one, pal. It wasn’t so funny next turn when he flipped over my Rite of Replication and used it on someone else’s Master Biomancer, though.

Mtg edh building a deck question?

Two problems with your edh deck. First one is, Huntmaster of the Fells can't be an EDH general considering he is not a legendary creature. Second problem, Fable of Wolf and Owl is a blue green hybrid, and even though it only requires you to have one of the two colors, you can not play cards that are outside of your generals colors. I hope this helps! And good luck building an EDH deck.

What are some great Magic deck themes?

Basically there is an uncountably large number of possibilities for Magic deck construction, but here is my take on this:1) Tribal - having a deck based around a particular creature type. I am a Goblin and Elf man myself, but I understand that Merfolk, Soldiers, Wizards, Hydra, and even Griffins can be a good tribe for a deck. - Merfolk and Elf decks can even be built as serious contenders in some of Magic's toughest formats: Modern, Legacy, and Vintage.2) Tokens - having a deck built around putting lots and lots of copies of lots and lots of different creatures into play. (Squirrels forever!)3) Lifegain - trying to gain so much life you will not be killed until well after your opponent has run out of cards. Gaining life can even be a win-condition.- Battle for Zendikar Limited had a B/W lifegain archetype that was quite powerful.- Soul Sisters is a type of lifegain deck in Modern.4) Mill - your goal is to try to make your opponent run out of cards in their library as quickly as possible.- Sphinx's Tutelage has recently allowed for a viable Standard mill deck.5) Planeswalkers - Who would not want to have as many of the most powerful card-type in Magic in play at the same time.6) Ramp decks - Half of your deck quickly produces mana, and the other half is enormous game-winning threats. Usually green.- The Eldrazi are a common top end for decks like this: Emarakul, Ulamog, and Kozilek.7) Reanimation - If you like playing big creatures, but do not want to actually wait until the late game to use them, try cheating them into play from the graveyard! Usually Black based.8) Combo Decks - If you do not mind losing unless you can a crazy two or more card interaction to work. There are an enormously large number of decks like this, and sometimes a two card combo can go into almost any other deck.- Splinter Twin + Deceiver Exarch/Pestermite is currently a major Modern Powerhouse.- Amulet Bloom is a Modern deck with tons and tons of different combo synergies.9) Prison - What is more fun for you than your opponent's not getting to play at all?10) Play EDH: if you see a Legendary Creature that has an awesome ability, and you wished you could build a themed deck around it, but that deck is only viable when you draw and play that one legendary... Build an EDH deck around it!
