To lose the weight, or just get healthy, you need to eat meals like that, but in variety. eat meals similar to that, but not the same thing every night. too much of anything isn't good for you.

How do you farm Tilapia?

Hi Everest,I believe Melissa Hoy may have some insight on the aquaculture.  I kinda remember Melissa stating that her boyfriend grew fish that they enjoy eating.  So, I don't know the scale of the operation, but certainly, Melissa would have better insight than me.I do know a little about Tilapia farming.  One of the strangest places that I have sport fished was the Salton Sea in California.  It's been years since I step foot there because my targeted species had disappeared.  Actually, the (re) creation of Salton Sea was a human mistake.  Anyway, the salinity has become higher than the Pacific Ocean.  So, only Tilapia can withstand the harsh conditions.   And I mean really harsh.Tilapia farms on the Salton Sea put out some HUGE numbers.  I don't know what are the current numbers, but 5 years ago, it was reported as in the millions of pounds.Anyway, here's a bit of info that I googled up for you:http://geoheat.oit.edu/bulletin/...

How should I cook my tilapia?

Ok, the best way is this : take a cheap can of chicken broth and pour it into a large skillet. Place your fish fillets into the broth, and sprinkle with whatever seasonings you like. I prefer salt, pepper and a bit of ground cumin or ground coriander. Place a lid over the skillet, and cook for 7 minutes (assuming your fish is thawed). I have also added some frozen peas to the skillet while the fish is cooking - they turn out beautifully.

You CAN do it in the oven. Lay a piece of foil on a baking sheet. Place your fish, seasoned as you wish, on the foil. Add some sliced onion or whatever vegetable you wish on top. Put a pat of butter on top of each fish. Lay another piece of foil on top. Seal up the edges by rolling them together. You should have formed a pouch. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. It is much like the cooking method called "en pappilotte" - in parchment. The foil works just as well.

Healthy meals for weight loss?

I've always wanted to lose weight but I always gave up as soon as I started. With New Years coming around I think it's a great idea to start on the first day of a new year and stick to it! :) So I'm going to stop eating sweets, chocolate, crips, fizzy drinks...everything. Obviously I may have them on the odd occasion but like once a month isn't going to kill my plan.

So does anyone know any foods that are good for weight loss...or meal idea?

i need to know step by step how to cook just plain, bland chicken breast. i dont want any recipes you think are good, sorry. i just need to know how to prepare it, how long to thaw it for, the stove temp., what kind/how much oil/cooking spray, how long to cook each side, etc. keep in mind i want it as healthy and plain as POSSIBLE. im not looking for good taste just health. ...also if you could do the same thing for tilapia fish id be ECSTATIC. i appreciate it, thank you so much!

How long and what temp to I bake frozen tilapia?

To get the best results for your tilapia, you should defrost it inside your refrigerator first.
Season and butter it as you like and bake it uncovered for about 15 (check for tenderness after 10) minutes at 375*F.
