Is This Poem I Wrote Ok

Does this poem I wrote make sense?

The first stanza is actually pretty good! Unfortunately, the second stanza sucks the big one. Here's what to do if you'd like to go deeper into poetry.First you must abandon all literary pretense. This means no words for the sake of words alone. Don't center the text as if this prettifies your thought: just start at left margin like any other kind of writing.None of the special effects of poetry arise from the placement of text - rather they arise from the intrinsic content of the thoughts being expressed. Therefore every word must proceed from whatever internal reality motivates the Narrator's speech. The only time we speak is when we have something to say. Ergo, never allow your Narrator to speak unless she or he actually has something to say. It's fine for you as the author - as the poet - to babble as you do in S2: we authors generate some useful material by babbling at times. It's OK to babble as an author…but a Narrator *never* babbles…(unless, of course, to show someone speaking gibberish). Narrators who speak gibberish are generally not trusted by readers. Ergo, poets whose Narrators babble gibberish must learn to recognize the gibberish and cut it out completely! Here, in this poem, S2 is entirely gibberish through-and-through - therefore, Mr. Poet, S2 must be removed.So. Type freely for your first draft - free as a bird! Then go back to identify which words, phrases and sentences have actual meaning…which means they advance whatever story is being told by the text. Identify these good parts, keep them…cut everything else.**When you cut your work, throw the cuttings into a box for review some years later down the road. They might look better then.

Wrote this girl a love poem?

Ok, Ive never met the girl, but I've fallen for her over the last few months. I wrote this for her. It only took me about 15 minutes.

Tho I've never met you,
I'm afraid that I must say,
I think about you constantly,
You mean more each passing day,

Throughout the day I smile,
at night I dream of you,
You never leave my thoughts babe,
Do you think of me too?

I long for the day, when we meet at last,
So I can hold you tight,
A hug and and a kiss, hello, goodbye,
Now everything feels so right,

You're far away, yet in my heart so near,
But we'll be together once more,
Until then my dear, remember that I Love You,
I know you love me too ♥

She told me she told me her heart started beating fast and she tried not to cry when she read it....

Who wrote the 'life is a theatre' poem?

Life is a Theater
Invite Your Audience Carefully
Not everyone is healthy enough to have a front row seat in our lives.
There are some people in your life that need to be loved from a distance.

It's amazing what you can accomplish when you let go of, or at least
minimize your time with, draining, negative, incompatible,
not-going-anywhere relationships/friendships.
Observe the relationships around you. Pay attention.
Which ones lift and which ones lean?
Which ones encourage and which ones discourage?
Which ones are on a path of growth uphill and which ones are going downhill?
When you leave certain people do you feel better or feel worse?
Which ones always have drama or don't really understand, know or appreciate you?
The more you seek quality, respect, growth, peace of mind, love and truth around you...the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the front row and who should be moved to the balcony of Your Life.
"If you cannot change the people around you, change the people you are around."

Remember that the people we hang with will have an impact on both our lives and our income. And so we must be careful to choose the people we hang out with, as well as the information with which we feed our minds.
We should not share our dreams with negative people, Nor feed our dreams with negative thoughts.
It's your choice and your life..... It's up to you who and what you let in it......

Okay, well I've looked around everywhere but I can't seem to find an author to this poem. So I've decided that either the author was anonymous, or it is one of those poems that everyone knows, but no one knows where it's from. Like a nursery rhyme or something.

I might be incorrect, but I really can't find anything on the subject...

What does this poem mean that my guy friend wrote?

Ok so this guy that i think likes me wants to hang out with me at a park and he later on posted this as a status if his this poem, and i think it might be for me because it has "park" in it so here is what he wrote:

i will keep it simple,
id hold your hand
take a walk through the park
pass by some newspaper stands.
grow passionate slowly,
by your side a smile,
could be, if only.
given a chance
i can show you that fire,
the one we can construct
...dropping all memories prior.
come on, one shot in the dark
whats there to lose?
im being really honest here,
this is no ruse.
like i said, im a simple guy,
i do the flower and poem thing
seriously, no lie :D
let me know if i can ponder a bit with you,
spend sometime doing nothing, turning grays into blue

What does this poem mean to you?

I sent a girl this poem I wrote, how does she feel?

Ok so I was never planning on sending her a poem, were not together, but there was something, so I sent her this on Valentines day, and I haven't heard from her (she was abroad) and now she's back, she's been ignoring me, but at times I catch her smiling at me, and sometimes she faces me, but looks at the other side of the room with her eye, is she looking at me through the corner of it?
Anyways, were both 15, and here's the poem I wrote for her,
Would you please tell me how'd you'd feel upon receiving it, and how you think she feels?
I'm afraid I've made her sad, upset, embarrassed or awkward, which is the exact opposite of what I wanted to do! The chances of rejection were high, but if there was a Small chance it'd make her happy and bring a smile to her face, it'd so be worth it.
Poem below :

you are simply perfect,
In elegance and grace,
For you're the only lady,
Who's brings a smile to my face.

Were not even together,
Far from that I should say,
But every time we talk,
you brighten up my day.

I've always had a thing for you,
I don't know if That's okay,
But things had never been clearer,
Until the other day.

you lent over to look at me,
With those beautiful blue eyes,
I can't believe it took me all this time,
But now I finally realise,

That your not some passing fancy,
Or some passing trend,
I really want to get to know you,
But Im just a 'kinda' friend.

I'm afraid of what you'll think of me,
So I'll never make you feel,
Either awkward, embarrassed or ashamed.
And if I ever do, Im sorry,
I've only myself to blame.

I need some time to think about us,
This is something I know,
I'll only think about what's best for you,
So chances of me there are low,

Until then tough I fear,
It's up to me to decide,
If we'll ever be together,
Standing side by side.

Maybe we'll be together,
All in due time,
But until then tough,
Would you be my valentine?

I made my girlfriend cry cuz i wrote a poem to her and she loved it?

Tell me what you guys think ok. Thanks

From Friends To Lovers.

Sometimes I feel sad and
sometimes I feel blue but whenever
I see you, im as happy as can be
for you bring a smile upon my face and
a feeling of joy within my heart
your like my sunshine in the morning
and my stars that glow at night
your like the wave in the ocean
the cool breeze in the wind
like the call of the birds in the morning dew
like the sound of beauty in the night
you see these thing are beauty and love
that's how i feel whenever your near
for it was the passion and desire for the both of us
that opened up the world for our eyes to see
for our love for each other will grow and grow
and our needs and desires will be more everyday
for a friend you once were and will always be
has turned into love as it should have been
so i want you to know as a friend and lover
that in my heart you'll always stay
for our love will never fade.
I love you Elena. My friend, My love <3 <3 <3

How much do women love when a man writes a poem for them?

I've written poems for a lot of people, so I'd say I have a decent handle on this question even though I'm not a woman. A thoughtful, well-written poem can mean a lot to the recipient, but there are some key considerations to keep in mind:A poem will not win you the love of someone you do not already have some chemistry with.A poem will not attract women who do not like reading, literature, etc.The best poems for this purpose are colloquial yet profound. See the work of Tyler Knott Gregson for examples of this.A poem intended for a specific recipient must somehow elicit an emotional response in the reader. Use what you know about the recipient to create something that is deeply personal for both of you.Don't word-vomit. Edit a lot.If you can satisfy all of these criteria, the recipient will love your poem, and maybe even you in general.
