Did you hang with the popular crowd in high school?
Well that depends what you define popular as. Personally I look back at high school and laugh at all the stupid things i did, not worrying about consequences, and how easy I had it not paying bills and work and living with my parents. Now that I'm 26 and have a wife and kid, those days don't mean much but a chapter in my life, I just hung out with the people who I was true friends with not fake people. You will know who they are. I had fun most of the time ditching smoking cigarettes and weed and being a idiot, I think what happens in high school doesn't play a big factor in your life socially. Trust me all those clicks, emos, wanna be gangsters, hot girls you had a crush on jocks and preps wont mean one thing when you get older, i guess we move on mentally and worry about more important things like having a roof over our heads trying to make it by ETC. Most of my friends I had in high school I don't ever talk to or wouldn't recognize them in the street. I still have some from grade school, but I guess that's life. Every one moves on and changes, senior year was the best knowing your about to be in the real world kinda scary at first, because I had to move out on my own. I don't remember much because I always parted lol I was stupid, but theses are your golden years and you can't take them back, so enjoy them and have fun. Don't let popular people or clicks get in your way of enjoying them, remember that one mean a thing. Does the popular crowd and stuff like that go away after high school?
I used to be popular at my old high school but then when I went to a new school (a larger public school), I am so unpopular and this has let me reflect on how mean I used to be. I want it to stop, but anyway, I'm going into my senior year in 2 weeks and my cousin told me that after high school, popularity goes away and people focus on their grades. Is this true for anyone in college?

when do people grow up and stop caring when do people realize that there's more out there and stop seeing the popular crowd as the center of the world But there's more to most of the popular kids than good looks and athletic talent. You can't write everyone off because you're jealous that they get more attention. I've been popular, unpopular and everywhere in between. i'm done trying. but its hard when everyone around you is obsessed with getting social status or maintaining it does it matter at all?
How can i become popular in 8th grade?
I'm going into the eigth grade to! I am part of the 'in crowd' I don't mean to brag but I am pretty popular. The main thing is BE YOURSELF. The thing is, There are many pretty girls in our school, way prettier than the ones in our group, they dress great and always look amazing but for some reason theyre just not part of our group. I will be completely honest with you as i am part of our 'incrowd' i dont always like it, and i have many friends outside of the popular group as well so here's what i've got to say. Its not all about your looks, although they are a part of it. Your personality plays a huge role around here, are you generally outgoing? are you brave? If your a little on the shy side, then maybe you wanna work on being more open. Now you've got to be friends with the right people. Wanna be popular? You need connections, So who is that girl in the popular crowd that seems nice? Talk to her, become friends with her, she will introduce you to her crowd (I have done this with many of my friends, and they have all become "popular") Since your asking about looks, all I can say, is stick with natural looks, you are young you don't need to wear pounds of eyeliner and lipstick and go to school looking like a dior model. too much make upcan look tacky. In my school we have a lot of tacky looking sluts. Stick with simple make up, foundation, eyeliner, masacara, gloss (maybe a LITTLE blush) if you do want more (its just fun sometimes :D) for example if you wanna do more with ur eyes ie. smokey eye go simple with the lips, if ur going 4 a bold colour on the lips, go a little more simple with the eyes. As for clothes, stick to your own taste. I suggest you read teen mag or seventeen they've got cool looks. Other than that, go with looks that inspire you. If your talking about brand names, well abercrombie is simple yet big i also like hollister and american eagle. Remember popularity isnt everything! Be yourself and have fun Don't be a poser! If you don't fit in oh well, you will find better friends. Being popular isnt ALWAYS fun, there's a lot of people, u gotta know who u can trust or not. You will be envied (this isnt great but as long as ur urself and u have fun u cant be blamed xD) Just be urself, and have confidence Hope this helped.
