Is Tv Show Hannibal Scary

Is hannibal the tv show scary?

I've only seen the first episode, and I wouldn't say it's as scary as say, the first season of Supernatural (jump scares + dim settings and music = me hiding under blankets). However it's really dark and, yes there is plenty of blood gore and killing. I'd call it a horror rather than thriller.

So if it's only jump scares that get you, you won't so much as flinch at Hannibal. But if it's bloody depictions, I might stay away. Keep in mind though, that I am speaking from only having watched the first ep, because gore is ah, not my thing. You might want to ask a actual fannibal (although they're sure to be bias in the opposite direction).

If you just want to keep up on the fandom, you might go the with Hannibal wiki and read the episode summaries (I haven't checked, but the Hannibal fandom seems like an intelligent bunch, so they're probably decently written).

Is tv show hannibal scary?

I didn't find it scary, I found it psychologically creepy and awesome.
There is some gore, but it's not a slasher show..and it's nothing like the SAW movies.
The gore you see is after the fact..no masked man with a butcher knife slashing people.
There are no jump scares in this show..it's quiet..and disturbing..the dialogue leaves you pulling your hair out once each episode is over because you can't believe how your head was just messed with.
Can't wait for season 2!!

Is the TV series Hannibal scary?

It's quite gory and violent, but as the biggest whimp in the world, I was fine watching it. Maybe start with something like Supernatural (an amazing show, by the way) which is a but less violent and work your way up.

Basically, it just depends what scares you. If serial killers and (theres no better way to phrase this) insanity scare you, then maybe it's not the show for you. I, personally, love it, and u think it just depends on who you are.

Why was Hannibal Lecter so scary in The Silence of the Lambs?

Because unlike many movie villains, he could realistically exist. And you like him and he then violates the trust you've given him.Whereas Jigsaw or Jason Vorhees or Freddy Krueger are all made up boogie men who would never exist in real life, a calm, extremely bright, cannibal serial killer/psychologist who can make people eat their tongues just by talking to them seems like someone who could actually exist. The scariest villains are the ones who could realistically appear at your house and have you for dinner. Hannibal was very much couched in reality (even if his extreme actions border on the unreal.) He makes an emotional connection to Clarice, almost a father figure, and you start to connect and relate to him. You start to like him. And he's funny. And just when you've gained the most trust in him, when he tells Clarice what to go find next in his hotel room prison cell, upon her departure, he immediately does something so inhuman and vile that it is a violation of your personal trust. He goes from father figure to human taxidermist, pulling the face off of a nice policeman, enthusiastically enjoying it. And it shatters all the trust and love of comedy you as a viewer had in watching him play with and challenge his "daughter" Clarice in previous scenes. You remember he is a monster who will betray you at any turn, and you remember it's in a world that seems like it could really exist. And then when you are 12 and see it in a movie theatre, you have to sleep in your parents bed, because the lambs are screaming and Hannibal is clearly coming over to your house that night to eat your face.

Is the hannibal tv series appropriate for a 14 year old.?

I think it would be okay for a 14 year old, but a very mature 14 year old.
The show is not just a generic scary show that you see on tv.
It's very dark, and twisted..and psychological.
And there are some scenes of people who have died in very grotesque ways.
It's a show that stays with you and plays with your head after each episode.
