Is upgrading a primary more important than getting a gas pistol in airsoft?
Why mess with what isn't broken. You have a primary you like.leave it alone. Consider getting a second primary. A second aeg has several benefits; you'll have a spare if yours goes down it sucks when your primary has a malfunction at the beginning of an all day game. you'll have a loaner. If you buy another m4/16 variant they can use the same mags and batteries. this equals more play time. I love gas pistols. I have 4. I hardly ever use them. if my primary goes down I use one of my other aegs, if it's indoor my go to is actually a DE trishot spring shotgun. they're quiet.
What is more important in an M4 airsoft gun, fps or rpm?
This depends. I have the same gun. Here's what I did. Simply buy a Li-Po Battery (you will also need a Li-Po charger), This will improfe RPM and semi-auto trigger sensitivity (this is sooo nice). To raise the FPS just get a $10 spring. All of this will be about $60. And yes, a Li-Po will make you're gun break faster. But the main things it will do is strip the pistons or gears, all only about $10 fixes. And ALL guns will break, it's a matter of when. But, I'd still reccomend a Li-Po if you want max performance out of your gun. You won't regret it. PS: Make sure it's a crane stock type or it won't fit.
Airsoft/Paintball FPS Chart.?
That's a hard question to answer since most the power a bb hits changes with the distance. I will guess to say that from my experience...100-200FPS is like getting flicked in the back of the ear....think of the feeling or if you feel courageous try it out. 200-300 varies greatly, but on average, most airsoft fires around 250-300 which feels like a bee sting without any protection...it will leave a red bump and could leave a blood blister is fired from too close range. 300-400 is till the same intensity of pain and will most likely draw blood or atleast a blood blister if unprotected. you can really hurt someone pretty good if you dont watch what you are doing. I would suggest keeping it around 300-325...no more. I have a P90 as well and have an M100 spring which keeps it in good running condition. The main reason I have the higher spring is not even to increase velocity, but in the heat of battle, alot of players sometimes dont feel the hits through vests and gear...this allows a little better POW! and the acknowledge that they have been hit better. It's just my experience since I started playing 4-5 years ago. I hope some of this helped.
