What is your view regarding Jesus's crucifixion?
From the Islamic viewpoint Jesus Christ (p.b.u.h) is not crucified. The Holy Quran is the revelation of God to Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) and all of this book is the words of God, nothing more and nothing less and the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) was infallible during receiving the massages of God:“وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ. إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَىٰ”“Nor does he speak out of [his own] desire. It is just a revelation that is revealed [to him]” the Holy Quran 53:3-4So it is Almighty God that says:“وَقَوْلِهِمْ إِنَّا قَتَلْنَا الْمَسِيحَ عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولَ اللَّـهِ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلَـٰكِن شُبِّهَ لَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ ۚ مَا لَهُم بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِلَّا اتِّبَاعَ الظَّنِّ ۚ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ يَقِينًا- بَل رَّفَعَهُ اللَّـهُ إِلَيْهِ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّـهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا”“and for their saying, ‘We killed the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, the apostle of Allah’—though they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but so it was made to appear to them. Indeed those who differ concerning him are surely in doubt about him: they do not have any knowledge of that beyond following conjectures, and certainly, they did not kill him- Indeed, Allah raised him up toward Himself, and Allah is all-mighty, all-wise” the Holy Quran 4:157-158Not just the Muslims believe that Jesus Christ was not crucified, even some groups of Christians, like Basilides and his followers, believe in this way.And Muslims believe that Jesus Christ (p.b.u.h) is alive now and one day he will come back and help Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance) to make global justice and beauty for all the humankind.
