It Salaries In Bucharest Romania

IT salaries in Bucharest, Romania?

I recently got an offer from an IT company based in Bucharest, Romania. I would like to know the level of average salary in this area so that I can evaluate the offer. The job is on senior specialist level. Can anyone help? Thanks.

What should be a good salary in Bucharest for 9 years experienced IT consultant?

The median senior programmer salary is around 1500-2000 euro. For a good professional with a decade programming, to give a huge range, I guess 2500-4500 euro net salary range is ok, with a tangible 3000 euro in many companies. In a BrainSpotting report last year, 8% of respondents had over 3000, but on payscale, the 90% percentile in bucharest is 80000$ brute salary which is around 4000 euro, a price also heard of in press in 2 articles as well as some forums. Personally I only heard of 3000-3500 euro salaries and that has been stable for about 3 years. The market may have raised a bit since then because many companies in the market discuss at possible ranges which would have been out of their reach one year ago. It really depends how much pressure the company has to fill that position. In the higher range the things go volatile. For a huge range, and for the very best people which want to embark on remote working, there a few companies on the market right now and the range from job advertisements is 5000-11000 euro brut salary, which you receive as freelancer. If you are really good you can get more. But in my opinion, things like having a team around you should count more in a short life, where we spend much of the time at the office. Plus Bucharest makes it hard for freelancing, we all heard ANAF going after PFA employees.

How good is a 1450 Euro salary in Bucharest, Romania, as a Senior Software Developer? How much can I save with minimum expenses?

For a senior developer is rather low. Of course that depends on your specific qualifications as well as the needs of the company hiring you.

How are the salaries in Romania?

The minimum salary in Romania is 925 RON net ( 1250 RON gross) for an 40 hours work weak. Usually those who get the minimum salary are unqualified workers. For qualified workers the salaries may very a lot depending on experience, performance, job location etc.For jobs that are paid by the state the salaries paid have well defined limits. For example:a non-officer policeman can get between 924 RON and 3544 RONan officer policeman can get between 1184 RON and 4720 RONan officer policeman with leadership function can get between 2864 RON and 9.529 RONa medic(doctor) can get from 1470 RON up (they are paid extra for an watch[1], usually they have around 4–6 per month)In the private sector the salaries vary much more. Sure, an accountant for a small boutique can get 1200 RON, but it can get to over 5 digits for an chief accountant in a big firm. Also you can get bonuses above the fixed salaries. What i am trying to say is that the salaries aren’t fixed and can vary a lot for every type of job.Notes:the figures presented might no be 100% accuarate1 euro = 4.4555 RON ; 1 dollar = 3.9988 RON[1] watch - > a medic(doctor) needs to stay a 24h shift in the hospital and it’s the first called when a case comes and cannot be solved easily

How much income do I need to live in Bucharest?

It depends what level of lifestyle you wish to have. Bucharest is the capital so it's the most expensive place to live in all of Romania. However Romania is still relatively not that expensive country in Europe. I would say that to live comfortably you need to have income around 1000 euro but again, depending on what do you need.

What is a decent/good salary for a Java developer in Bucharest with 1.5 to 2 years work experience?

According to PayScale.com, the average salary for a Software Engineer in Romania is approximately $25,000 a year. If you see yourself as a high-end developer, I would say a fair salary would be $25,000 to $35,000 per year. That is, of course, depending on how well you perform and what your skillset is. Software Development, in its early stages (Junior) is no more treated as “years of experience” only. There are some super talented developers who skip the Junior phase and dive into the boots of a Medior right away. The thing that will affect your salary the most, is the set of skills that you possess. At the age of 21, with 2 years of experience and no degree, I get €46,000/year and loads of benefits from my current company. That is after only 4 months in a €37,000/year job.My point is - look at what’s relevant or demanded in the industry within your field (back-end, web, real-time, etcetera), and focus on that. Try to be exceptional. And do not worry about taking a lower salary for your Junior phase. It will be worth it, big-time.

What is the salary range for a senior java programmer in Bucharest?

After being involved in few recruitment projects I can tell you that for an senior Java developer this are the expected costs/earnings: => annual gross for employee: 26k Euro to 37k Euro=> annual gross to be paid by employer: 28k to 40k Euro=> net salary (after taxes) monthly: 1800 to 2500 EuroNot sure about 4k or 6k Euro monthly salary, this can happen but is not the usual salary for an senior.I hope this helps. Is good to let us know some more details, who knows, we might help you more than just sending some numbers.

Is Romania really as crazy and dirty a destination as everyone says it is?

Over the years, I have heard some really wild stories about people's travels in Romania. The place sounds like a combination toxic waste dump and wild, wild, west. This seems escharest and Ploiesti. Is this all bunk, or is there some truth to it?
