Its The 6th Day Of Chickenpox N Blisters R Not Scabbing Over.

I'm on day 5 of chicken pox and the blisters haven't started popping or drying up or scabbing. Is this normal? How many days will it take to scan?

When I had chicken pox I had exactly same thought as you. I thought it was taking more time to heal than normally people say.But the key point is having patience. For some, it may heal in less time, for others, a longer time, but just don’t loose hope, it will heal eventually.Your body develops immunity against the virus by fighting it , so that next time it would protect you from having it. So just keep in mind that your body is fighting a battle against chicken pox virus so that next time it will be ready, if it attacks again. Let it take time… it is fighting for you only.Hope it helps and may you recover soon…

Can I have a bath while suffering from chicken pox?

You can take cold showers and even use liquid soap . Do not scrub and always pat dry and try to air dry yourself completely before wearing clothes. It will help soothe itching . Taking long baths is not recommended as it will increase the chances of spreading infection and will not let you dry your scabs . I myself suffered from Chickenpox recently. I have experienced and applied all these things to myself and recovered very fast .

Is it normal to have a fever with chicken pox?

The first symptoms of chickenpox usually develop about 14 to 16 days after contact with a person infected with the virus. Most people feel sick and have a fever, a decreased appetite, a headache, a cough, and a sore throat. The itchy chickenpox rash usually appears about 1 or 2 days after the first symptoms start.

How long do chickenpox scars take to heal? Can the marks be permanent?

Very less likely.Very very remote!Don't confuse it with small pox!,where the wound are grave, large, deep, filled with pus and takes very large time to heal. And there was no medications then! Now the scenario is very different! My own sister had been afflicted, and she looked aweful but not a sign is there!Infact she assured me to relax, even though she had the infection! So please relax!Probably you might get intense fever! This is due to the virus, your immunity-natural defense of your body and the medications.Your body will be a battle ground! If you feel too restlessness, uneasy, ask the doctor for mild anti anxiety medications( very temperory phase),so please don't panic!Wish you a speedy recovery!God bless!Amen!
