Hi,If you have an H1 visa, you can still work for the sponsor/employer but only that one employer. I wonder why you’re not working with a valid H1 visa? Did you get fired or stop working for some reason?Couple of issues in this case.You have a visa but are not working, which means you’re likely out of status (as you don’t have salary coming in and don’t have recent pay-stubs.)Your employer probably didn’t revoke your H1 status, but you are still living in US.What this means is that you have to find another employer as soon as possible so that you don’t risk going out of status (in which case you’ll need to exit the country or continuing without an active H1B is illegal).So use job boards like LinkedIn, Monster etc to find another H1B sponsor as soon as possible.Hope that helps.Note - I’m not an attorney or none of the above is legal advice.
