John Mccain Is Disgusted By Congress And The Shutdown.

How can the Republicans not speak out about the disgusting crude comment made about John McCain? They should be ashamed of themselves.

How can the Republicans not speak out about the disgusting crude comment made about John McCain? They should be ashamed of themselves.Let’s begin with a recap of what really happened, as it will affect the answer here and apparently most news outlets are not being honest in their reporting. No surprise there, of course. I’ve basically answered this twice already, but…This comment did not come from the White House. This comment was leaked from a closed-door staff meeting where it was made as a poor attempt at humor by a low-level staffer who has since been reprimanded. The comment has been universally condemned by both Republicans and Democrats as well as the White House. The report does raise several issues however. First, it after more than a year in office leaks are still coming out of closed-door meetings in the White House. Whoever leaked the comment to the Press should be summarily fired and if appropriate prosecuted. There is no valid reason it should have been given to the press in the first place. Second, the remark is being presented by the Press incorrectly as being an Official White House statement. Those who were reporting it this way know that this is a lie but continue to report it anyway. If the American mainstream press has any hope to ever become relevant again, it needs to address this type of issue. There is no valid excuse for misreporting the statement and who made it.Lawmakers Outraged over White House Aide’s Mockery of McCain | National Review

Do you think Republicans in both houses of Congress are privately getting frustrated and unhappy with Trump?

Many of them were openly unhappy with him before he was even elected. There’s nothing private about it. The Republican establishment was trying to get rid of him until he won the nomination, then they begrudgingly fell in line, as they always do.I’ve said in many answers that that’s one of the Republican’s strengths over the Democrats: falling in line behind the leader. Had more Bernie supporters done that, Hillary would be the president right now.

Can we consider the rep party treasonous because they decided to obstruct Obama inauguration day?

Shouldn't "intentionally undermining America's progress" be some kind of violation?

"On the night of Barack Obama’s inauguration, a group of top GOP luminaries quietly gathered in a Washington steakhouse to lick their wounds and ultimately create the outline of a plan for how to deal with the incoming administration.

“The room was filled. It was a who’s who of ranking members who had at one point been committee chairmen, or in the majority, who now wondered out loud whether they were in the permanent minority,” Frank Luntz, who organized the event, told FRONTLINE.

Among them were Senate power brokers Jim DeMint, Jon Kyl and Tom Coburn, and conservative congressmen Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy and Paul Ryan.

After three hours of strategizing, they decided they needed to fight Obama on everything. The new president had no idea what the Republicans were planning."

If Republicans in Congress come to believe that Trump would lose in 2020 do you think that they will begin to distance themselves from him? Why or why not?

Yes.Not all Republicans in Congress agree with Trump, but those who don’t say nothing for fear that a word from the President will say something to throw Republican support to a primary challenger. Republican principles are one thing. Being voted out of office is quite another. Republicans in Congress don’t want to be voted out of office.Trump as a probable loser or even a possible loser changes the game. Analysis of the 2018 election returns show that Trump support cost Republican votes in the November General Election. More Obama-endorsed candidates than Trump-endorsed candidates won their elections. We know that many high-profile out-of-office Republican operatives have left the Republican Party and voted Democratic in order to thwart Trump. Donors reduced their support for Republicans. Anecdotal reports are that the same thing is happening among rank-and-file Republicans. We have yet to see Trump’s support among elected Republicans defy Trump—except for the late Sen. John McCain. However, the disgraceful way that Trump behaved on Veteran’s Day and his disgusting response to the Saudi murder of the Washington Post contributor will speed the day when it becomes clear to Republican office holders that Trump is lethal to their careers.
