Just As The Germany Japan Alliance Of The 1930s Threatened The World Would The Russia China Nordic

If the Soviet Union had allied with Germany during WW2, would the Axis have won?

Well duh…I'm not here to say how impossible that would be, but Hitler absolutely HATED communists. To the original question, yes they would have won easy peasy. With no eastern front, and all those soldiers they were fighting now helping them, the Berlin-Moscow alliance would be unstoppable. Soviets could land in Scotland, Germans could land in South England. Therefore you would have a Scottish communist land and a German fascist England/Wales.North America would be divided by the Soviets, the Germans and possibly Japan. Italy would take almost all of Africa, forming there “Roman empire” that Mussolini dreamed of.Democracy would be dead. Communism and Fascism would dominate the world. Likely a full on war would break out between Germany and the Soviets, or just a cold war.Even if Japan and Italy switched sides, they would be no match for the military might of the 2 most powerful nations in the world. Likely Germany and the Soviets would invade every last country in the world, leaving only German and Soviet puppets.Quite the depressing world, huh?

What was Hitler's justifications, supporting his racial ideology, of allying with Italy?

Nazi racial beliefs regarding the 'master aryan race' were unrelated to allying with Italy. The justification was purely centred around political and military dominance in the Mediterranean. Hitler knew that his Italian collaborators could invade North Africa and threaten the Suez Canal - the lifeline of Britain. This small sea passage passed in between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, providing an essential route of transport for offensive naval ships or ones carrying resources or reinforcements. From here, the Kraut Dictator hoped Italian regiments could capitalise in the Middle-East, where the German General, Erwin Rommel would take control with his Afrika Korps squadron. Rommel then had the ability to drive northward with the 'Blitzkrieg' march and meet with forces in Southern Russia in 1941.

Once this happened Erwin could close in on the West of China, assisting Japan in asserting authority over the area. Palestine, Iraq and Iran were all oil-rich and this was a key objective. Hitler also saw that Italy could dominate Malta - a British island which restricted the Axis from making any reasonable attacks. In reality, it never fell to the Nazi's or Italy during World War II and received special commendation. Also, in my opinion, Benito Mussolini was a right-wing Facist leader of Italy, and he saw the benefits of conquering provinces. Greed and wealth motivated him to join the Axis. With the support and guidance of Germany, he thought that little fighting was required following the declaration of war.

Basically, Hitler's race ideologies didn't affect his strategic plan for success during the second world war or from 1933-1938. Power over the East, Agean and Europe were a primary aim and more significant than worrying about others "inferior" nature. Any help was greatly appreciated - after all the Nazi's were outnumbered hugely worldwide and an ease of pressure during campaigns was useful.

Glad to help
