Just Changed My Earrings For The First Time.

Does it hurt to change your earrings for the first time?

Its been 10 weeks since i pierced my 2nd hole in my lobe
and i tried to change them at 6 weeks, and it was painful, so i left them in.
Again at 8 weeks it still hurt to take them out so i kept them in.
And now its 10 weeks and i havent tried yet,
but is it supposed to hurt for the first time to take them out?

should i just take them out rly fast and put another stud in?
or should i keep it in?

and it doesnt hurt when i touch them or turn them
it just hurts when i try to take them out.

what should i do?

I changed my earrings for the first time and now one ear hurts?

I waited a little over six weeks. Both ears felt perfectly healed and didn't hurt at all.

When I tried to change my earrings, the backs were kinda stuck, and hard to get out, so I asked my sister to do it. When she was doing it, it hurt, and I think she yanked pretty hard on them. When I cleaned the holes with sea-salt solution, one of my ears was bleeding a little

I put in the new earrings regardless of the pain, and now my left ear is completely fine and doesn't hurt at all, but my right ear hurts. It's not swollen, and I don't think it's infected, but it still hurts quite a bit when I accidentally brush it. The earrings I changed into are 'huggie' earrings, btw, so they are heavier than the studs I was used to. Sometimes when I move my head I feel the earring move and my right ear stings a little. ONLY my right ear.

I've decided to start disinfecting with cotton swabs and salt water again, but is there anything else I should do?

I'm scared to change my earrings for the first time. Please Help?

Ask your parents or a trusted friend who has their ears pierced to get it out for you :)

I changed my earrings for the first time and they bled?

I just changed my trainer earrings for the first time in about 6 weeks after getting them newly pierced. I tried to quickly put in new ones but I couldn't find the back hole of my ear and jabbed (not too hard) myself a few times. After that, my ear started bleeding. I cleaned out my ears and trainer earrings. I freaked out and put in my trainers again and now my ear is slightly swollen but does not hurt. Is this okay or should I take them out? And if I do have to take them out, will they close?

Also, I noticed my trainer earrings had some dried blood on them when I took them out. Is that normal?

Does it hurt changing your earring the first time?

So i pierced my ear around 2 months ago with a silver earring, then after one month i changed a normal gold earring which the needle is not thick and doesn't hurt. Now i wanna change a cheap earring but im scared that it will hurt. Since a few weeks ago i tried to wear a cheap earring but it hurts so i just took it back out and wear my gold ones, but now im scared to put cheap earring back in. Is it because my ear hole kinda turned smaller cuz i changed into a smaller needle gold earring or is it just becuz my earhole is not healed enough yet. Do you think i should try to put in cheap ones in now after 2 months?

Is bleeding normal when changing your earrings for the first time?

So I got my second ear lobe hole and cartilage done last year. I know not to even touch my cartilage piercing because its definitely going to take longer to heal than a lobe piercing. My piercings are about 2 months and a couple of weeks old. I figured I could probably change out my lobe piercings now so I went to Wal-Mart and got some hydrogen peroxide then went home and cleaned the earrings I was gonna wear. When I took out my left lobe earring it didn't hurt but it did start to bleed and I don't know if that's suppose to happen or not. I cleaned it up good before putting in the earring I was gonna put in it and then cleaned it again. When I changed out my right ear lobe piercing it also didn't hurt at all and it didn't bleed at all either.

Trying to change earrings for first time, ear bleeding?

blood & pus are NOT normal....it also sounds like you haven't bothered turning them while they were healing..subsequently, they healed onto your post & now you're attempting to tear them apart;; try leaving them in, soaking it with that rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide or whatever you were instructed to clean them with (use a soaked cotton ball & squeeze over your ear on both sides);; roll them for a few days & try again;; when you put them in, make sure you are gliding it along the path that it was pierced, & NOT making your own new 'hole'; salt water will make it expand & open..almost like healing it all over again....rubbing alcohol..it's a disinfectant (will keep infection away);; & btw, clean the pus off...it's already infected, but you can help the infection by using the right materials..alcohol...

ADD:: & you're dealing with that 'myth' right now; reality hon..truly!!!!! I work in the medical field & truly understand the healing process..more than 'Claire's' or most people on YA that just want to 'answer'..I like to feel I'm helping..ya need to rotate them or the pus & fluid that you are producing from that healing process will stick to whatever you've got attached to that body of your's..try scratching you arm till it bleeds..then tape that post to your cut & see what resolves..turn the silly earring already...& try your best not to attach those posts too tight...

What happens if you take your earrings out when you just got them pierced?

In short they will close up. How quickly they do all depends on when you take them out. If you hypothetically took them out right after you pierced them the holes will close within minutes if not seconds. If you waited you might have a little more time but it would become difficult to re insert the earring rather quickly. If you plan on keeping your ear piercings (which you most definitely should I might add, as everyone given the opportunity to have pierced ears should be grateful and keep them, lol) then you should keep your starter earrings in for four weeks before changing them, and when you do change them do it quickly. It’s not until a few months after the piercing that you can keep them out for an extended period of time without running a significant risk of them closing up.
