Keloids In Your Gums Possible

How do you remove a keloid on your nose from a piercing?

Different people will have many different remedies, but for me, tea tree oil was my savior. The first time I got my nose pierced, I got it snagged about 2 wks after getting it. I was washing my face and one of the rungs from the wash cloth snatched it. Worst pain ever. Once I cleaned it, I noticed a bump. Then the bump grew and grew no matter what I did. It got to the point where it was almost as big as my stud. Went to the dr and he wanted to remove it but I didn’t let him because he wanted to do “minor surgery”. I removed the piercing and cleaned it 3 times a day with salt water, dried it then dabbed tea tree oil for about a week. The keloid disappeared and I was able to get my nose re-pierced after a few months of healing. It’s been great ever since.

Can eating hot food damage your gums and tongue, and possibly desensitize your gums to further hot food?

Yes,  eating hot foods can damage your gums and oral tissues. But even if you eat hot foods regularly,  it is less likely to desensitize them permanently. Oral tissues have immense regeneration power.People are innately different in the way they perceive things. A pinch may be painful to one,  while another may not even feel it.  Same is the case with what you've  experienced. But its a fact that frequently eating hot foods can cause other changes like thickening of the tissues and changes in its microstructure to better resist the hot food. Which may be less in your case.

I have a keloid on my breast which has become inflamed and sore, is it cancer?

i have a keloid on my breast too. mine came from a scratch caused by the underwire in my bra. i hate it but the best thing you can do is go see a dermatologist. it probably isnt cancerous but its a good idea to have it checked out first considering that even a mole can be cancerous. mine started small and now it's bigger than a half dollar coin. my doctor said i could get a biopsy and have it surgically removed, or receive monthly cortizone injections until it decreased in size, or just stopped growing. i choose the injections and even though it hasnt gone away completely, i dont suffer from anymore soreness, itching, or stinging...which can be really embarassing in public considering the location. it's has also softened and some parts have lightened in color and flattened completely. make sure to treat it while its small so you wont need so many injections with higher doses of cortizone, and it probably wont take as long to shrink in size.

the injections or made with a tiny needle filled with different doses of cortizone depending on the size of the keloid. as it shrinks in size so do the injections and dosages. they basically treat it like a regular shot by swabbing alcohol over it then injecting it, though usually more than once in different places to spread the medicine evenly, wipe off any blood, then put a bandage on it and your done. my doctor usually applies a spray to numb the area before the injections and i usually feel nothing after its over, except for a little soreness if touched. good luck!

I have a keloid on my ear. It is growing even after I had undergone surgery. What should I do to prevent its growth and to bring my skin back to the normal stage without any scar?

Keloid scarring is common and typically does not require medical attention. However, keloid scars can often be uncomfortable or itchy. As such, some keloid treatment may prove beneficial. Common keloid treatments include the topical application of healing substances. Apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil, calendula cream, lavender and salt water can help diminish the symptoms and appearance of a keloid. Keloid removal can also be completed by applying a paste of crushed acetaminophen and water to the site of the keloid of several days. Gotu kola, gum spirit of turpentine and honey can also offer relief and treatment of keloids.

How long does it take bruised gums to heal?

WARM SALT WATER:  Into a 1/2 cup of warm water add 1 teaspoon of salt.  Stir until dissolved completely.  Take in a mouthful of this solution and hold it in the area that is sore and bruised.  It will feel soothed.  Hold each mouthful for about 1/2 minute and then spit out.  Repeat this until all the solution has been used up.  You can repeat this process every hour until you have no more sensitivity and soreness.  You should feel some relief immediately.  Gums should be healed using this method within 1 to 2 days.  I did this when I had oral surgery and it reversed swelling and soreness immediately with complete healing in 2 days.Eat pureed soups, yoghurt and smoothies only.  I hope you feel better soon.

What does a tumor feel like?

A “tumor” is an overgrowth of tissue (benign or malignant). The majority of tumors occur in areas of the body where they can’t be palpated (felt for size, consistency, etc. with one’s fingers). Those that arise in (or metastasize to) physically accessible areas (the skin or sub-cutaneous tissues) usually feel firm, are often irregular or nodular, and are usually non-tender. Of course there are exceptions to all these characteristics. Some tumors are palpable, but in harder to reach locations - like the tongue (moble (anterior 2/3rds) or base (toward the back), tonsil, gums, palate, anus, rectum, vagina, etc.).Some cannot be felt with the fingers, but still produce a lump-like sensation - as with cancers of the throat or esophagus which feel like an obstruction when swallowing - or the rectum - which produces difficulty passing stool, pain/sometimes bleeding.Sarcomas may form a hard mass which can be felt in a muscle or in the fatty tissue. Skin cancers also tend to feel hard, but may also be somewhat tender - and of course, most are obvious when looking at them.Benign tumors can also be palpable, but aren’t always firm. Lipomas, for instance (fatty tumors) feel soft like normal fat - but causue deformity due to their location. Keloids are pink, soft, fleshy tumors which are made of overly exuberant scar tissue which form in some people due to injury (including surgical procedures). Patients with hereditary neurofibromatosis have multiple firm sub-cutaneous nodules (which also occur in deeper tissues like the brain and optic nerves. If you feel something abnormal - that shouldn’t be there - you should show it to your doctor for evaluation.Below is a keloid that formed after the patient had their ear pierced.Below are subcutaneous metastases from bladder cancer. If you are interested in “No Nonsense” answers to serious medical questions, please follow me.
