Kids Book Ideas Anyone

Ideas for a Macbeth Kids Book?

I've been thinking of ideas fo a week now. I need to come up with an idea for my Macbeth children's book that doesn't involve blood or gore. A good example that someone already did was a refrigerator theme. Duncan was the "big cheese" and was killed when Macbeth "the hamburger" left him out of the refrigerator to mold. The guards were celery and got there "heads" cut off. I can't use that idea though.
Does anyone have any good ideas?

Anyone remember a kids book from the late 70's or early 80's that was a like a fictional bestiary or encyclopedia of alien races and spacecraft? The artwork had a Fantastic Planet feel to it... Any help tracking it down would be appreciated.

I always like kids books with animals that talk.

and a good moral to the story is always a plus.

If I have an idea for a picture book, but can't draw, what are my options?

No problem; this is how most picture books start out. Someone who can both write and draw picture books to a publishable standard is a rare and precious beast.Just send the text of the book to picture book publishers or agents. If the book is wordless, or if the illustrations are absolutely crucial to understanding the story, feel free to include notes on what the pictures need to show, or even some stick-figure drawings. You just need to convey what is going on to whomever is reading your text. Try not to be too prescriptive - leave some room for the editor/designer or eventual illustrator to be a little creative themselves.I don't recommend ever commissioning your own illustrations. It's very expensive, you probably won't choose as well as a publishing house's art department, and it may actually hurt your chances of publication - an editor probably doesn't want to have to waste time disentangling a good text from a bad illustrator that the author has hired themselves.

Does anyone know the author of a kids book called "Avalanche"?

This is the best I could come up with on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Ghost-Avalanche-Mo...

Amazon has an advanced search option that allows one to type in multiple criteria like an advanced library search.

http://www.librarything.com has forums specific for books and might have some ideas.

Have you contacted your local librarian for the children and/or YA section?

Children's book ideas and morals?

Well I doubt my answer will help you out at all here it goes...

Even though I strongly believe that the "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" and "If You Give a Moose a Muffin" people should have written an "If You Give a Duck a Cracker" book, I don't know what moral you could use :P

Because my little brother is really into super heroes and comics, I always thought a story about a boy trying to be a hero by doing heroic stuff would be a good book idea. He would go through the day trying to be super by helping people and he would even wear a homemade cape, but everything he does wouldn't work out the way he wanted. Then when he is going home and has given up on being a hero something would happen to show him that he already was a hero to someone else.
