Lace Dresses Or Chiffon Dresses Which One Do You Prefer

What are some different types of prom dresses? I’m not sure what to look for.

Couple things to keep in mind when looking for a prom dress:What have you worn in the past that made you feel amazing?Long dresses are traditional for prom, but some people like to be a good kind of extra and go for short dresses or pantsuits. It’s completely your choice! What color do you want it to be? Do you have a favorite color or specific color in mind or are you more open in this area? (P.S. try to pick a color that compliments your skin tone, i.e. lighter skin = darker colors or darker skin = lighter colors. But then again, that’s up to you!)What do you feel comfortable wearing based on your body type? Personally I’m an hourglass, but I have a little pooch on my stomach, so I like dresses that aren’t too tight but show off my curves. Pick something that YOU like and that YOU are comfortable in and NOT what’s expected of you.Do you like strapless dresses or dresses with straps? Strapless dresses are beautiful, but beware: they may fall down often. Dresses with straps solve this problem, but they often look boxy. Try to go for a comfortable, glamorous version of the dress you want!Sequins or simple? Sequins means sparkle, glitter, etc. Some girls don’t like glitter on their dresses and like to keep it simple with other patterns such as lace or satin (a smooth and semi-reflective material), but others girls like sparkle in their dress.Dress types are completely up to you: there are mermaid gowns, ball gowns, high low gowns, etc. It’s stressful and overwhelming, Ik, but think less about the style when you first shop and think more about what you like in a dress, such as the look of it (it may take many tries to find the dress that works for you, but that’s completely normal!)Go with your gut! You NEED to feel beautiful in your dress, as YOU are the one wearing it; FALL IN LOVE with it before you buy it. Trust me, you will KNOW when it’s “the dress”!Personally, I prefer to shop in store over online because I can try dresses on without sketchy and shady return policies, but it’s completely okay to shop online too! Actually, if you reach the conclusion and know your dress size and you know what you’re looking for, it’s better to shop online (because you can find dresses that people will most likely not have.) Regardless, this is your prom; SLAY GIRL!! <3

What color do you think is the best color for a prom dress?

Any color can work well if chosen/worn right. That said, I think black is a really nice color for a prom dress. It's unique and easy for a date to match with.I'm going to my school's prom later tonight, so I haven't seen my date in her dress yet, but this is a picture she sent to me. I think it's beautiful, and the black makes it easy for me to match my outfit to.

Sister in law doesnt want to wear dress to wedding...advice?

I think you should definitely compromise on the shoes. Don't make her wear heels, find some nice flats that look cute and won't make her fall over, lol. I don't wear heels like ever, I'm fairly girly but they hurt my feet so badly I just always wear flats.

As far as the bridesmaids dress... I think she needs to compromise. Most bridesmaids don't like the dress they will be wearing, even if they are super-girly girls. Its just the nature of bridesmaids dresses, you can't please everyone with it. If you make an exception for her, then all the other bridesmaids will they get exceptions too and will be asking to change their outfit. Its one day, she doesn't have to love it, but its not physically hurting her. I get it, she's not girly, but seriously that's asking way too much. Its your wedding, and if you have a certain vision in mind then your bridesmaids should care enough about you to just grin and bear it. You're not asking anything outrageous. You could even tell her that she can change after the ceremony into something more comfortable during the reception, I'm sure she'll appreciate that.

That's really sweet that you are trying to be receptive to her feelings, but I'm sure she won't mind wearing a dress for just a few hours on one day. If she is, then she needs to get her priorities straigtened out. Compromise on the shoes, find her some cute flats, she can wear a dress to the ceremony and some dress pants to the reception.

Best of luck!

What do you think of the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress versus the Duchess of Sussex’ wedding dress?

What do you think of the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress versus the Duchess of Sussex’ wedding dress?I thought both were beautiful and perfect for the specific bride and the venue. The Duchess of Cambridge’s dress was “fancier” but then, her wedding was a much larger event, in a much larger venue, with a lot more “pomp and circumstance” (as befits the wedding of a future King). The Duchess of Sussex’s dress was much simpler, as befitted a much simpler wedding. Everything about this wedding was understated and elegant. There was nothing at all to detract from the bride and groom, which is where the focus SHOULD have been.

Snoball (winter formal)dress help?

For winter, I usually do darker colors, like plum (such a flattering color on everyone), deep red, chocolate brown, emerald green and deep blue. Cream and silver can also be pretty in the winter.
These are pretty, not black, one-shouldered, fitted and not too expensive :)
