Hp Laptop battery help?
My laptop has always said “plugged in it charging” so I just leave it plugged in and I don’t have a problem. Usually tho I just take out the battery and quickly pop it back in and it starts to charge fine. Now even when I do that it won’t charge. Is there any way I can fix this? I’ve tried a lot and I’m thinking I just need a new battery but I don’t wanna spend the money lol so if anyone knows any methods then that’s awesome. Also do laptops usually come with a spare battery. I bought mine a couple years ago and I still have the box somewhere. Idk if there might be a spare battery in there but I don’t want to waste my time looking if there isn’t.

The other possibilty is that the computer needs to calibrate itself to the battery. Once you get your control panel issue fixed (presuming that the battery itself isn't dead) then simply completely discharge and recharge the battery. This will calibrate the computer's understanding of how much charge really is left in the battery, and your low power warnings should come back. Note that this does not actually affect battery performance... it only tells the computer what it has. If you do turn out to need a new battery, look for the upstart battery brand. They come with a lifetime warranty.

HELP....Is my new Laptop Battery One battery going to void my warranty?
I was so excited about the amazing price and the great help I got at Laptop Battery One. I bought a battery for my HP-DV7 there after HP wanted over $100 for one. It's a bigger battery and lasts for over 6 hours. Then somebody told me that I could have voided my laptop warranty by using a non-HP battery!!! :( Does anyone know if it's true or not. This is the battery that I bought: LB-HP44-07200 . Please someone help me. Thank you!!

No, as long as your notebook uses Li-Ion battery (I'm pretty sure it does), you don't need to do that regularly. Older Nickel based batteries required that, but not any more for Li-Ion batteries.One thing to note is, although repeated partial discharge doesn't affect Li-Ion battery's performance, it can make battery gauge a little bit inaccurate. As a result, you may experience system shutdown even when the gauge shows enough remaining charge. Or, your notebook keeps running for hours with very low gauge reading. If you want to avoid that, you need to perform full discharge followed by full charge to re-calibrate the gauge, but you usually don't need to do that more than once in a couple of months.I have recently published a blog post that is somehow relevant to this question. Laptop battery problem!!!!?
I am currently facing problem with my HP pavilion dv 2500. For almost one year, my laptop has charging problem. It used to run out of charge within few minute if I unplug the charger. It always showed 0-5% battery status. So I thought to replace the battery. I ordered a battery from Amazon and replaced with the old one. When the battery was fully charged, I opened the laptop but still the same problem. It shows full charge but shuts down within 1-2 min. I have no idea what could be the problem. By the way, the battery that I got is for dv 3000 and 6000. But it fitted well into my laptop. In my battery, it said to replace with hp spare 452057-001. Does anyone think the problem could be in choosing the right battery? Can you please give me any suggestion. Thank you.
