Laptop Crashing Problem

Problem with new laptop with Win Vista crashing?

I have a new laptop with Win Vista that ran very well at first, but now it's crashing more and more for no apparent reason- a blue screen comes up and says an error called 'bcmw16.sys"occurred, something "attempted to write to read-only memory." Anyone have any advice on what this is and what I can do to fix it?

My laptop keeps crashing?

Hey all!
I got this laptop back in November (an ASUS ROG GL552VW-DH71
And I've had nothing but problems.

My laptop would keep restarting itself every time I closed the lid. Even when I had the power settings set to "do nothing." When I did that, however, it burned an image of whatever's on the screen into my monitor for a few days. I tried to reset my power settings and let it Sleep when I shut the lid, but then I am immediately greeted with a BSoD stating video_scheduler_internal_error. Now I just shut off the display, but sometimes I'll still open to see everything has been rebooted. And if it crashed, I have no idea what the error is.

I also constantly receive Kernal BSoD's and other random crashes. It makes me utterly terrified to do ANYTHING on this laptop, in fear it's going to crash and I will lose all of my work or progress on something. I rolled back the NVidia driver and that seemed to work a bit.

The product was working fine for a month, but then spiraled into constant errors and bugs. I'm wondering if I can still exchange this or get some sort of refund, despite being passed the 30 day return policy. I need a laptop to do homework on (a lot of which is video production, but I get errors every single time I start Adobe Premiere), and this laptop is making it difficult to do literally anything with.

Not to mention, after Windows 10 updated about a week ago, it's been shutting down/restarting/crashing every other day What do I do?

What causes my Windows 8 laptop crashing problem?

I own a Packard Bell Windows 8 laptop, which recently has had a problem that sometimes, whilst I am using it, the screen will go black. The music or sounds that were playing at the time will continue to play in the background for a few seconds afterwards, but will then be replaced by a loud, unhealthy sounding noise. My temporary solution to this problem at the moment is to press the main power button to switch the laptop off and start it up again, which it may seem sometimes to start up a tad slower than it would usually. Turning the laptop off and on again is a fast way to avoid the crash, but the crashes keep reoccurring, and they have been doing over the past few weeks, but not that frequent. I would like to try and address the problem before these crashes become increasing in frequency, or before they occur at a time where losing important documents are inevitable. I have not much of an idea of what may cause these crashes, or what I need to do to prevent them, as is the reason I ask this question. The one lead I may have is that it might be possible for the program, YGOPro DevPro Launcher, to be the cause of the crashes, as I can recall at least 2 of the few crashes that I have had to be whilst playing that game. Nevertheless, I could be wrong. Please can you come up with any suggestions to solve this issue. I have the specs of the laptop if that may be of assistance.

How come my laptop keeps crashing with Windows 10? My computer came with it installed but 80 crashes in 30 days.

This is usually either something you installed or some hardware you added. When you say “crash” I assume you mean the blue screen. This will have a message. What does the message say? There are a few things you can try.Uninstall programs that you’ve installed. Try to think of the last thing you installed before the computer started crashing a lot.Diagnose the crash dump file. This is complicated but it will tell you exactly what is causing the crash.Perform a repair install. Go to Download Windows 10 - click Update now, then click Run.

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in the Stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video adapters.

Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup options, and then select Safe Mode.
