Last Minute Lineup Question. Need Help

Fantasy football. Illegal lineup question for a standard 10 man league. We had issues last year, to say the least.?

I've been doing fantasy football since 1995. Way back in the day. So we would not have illegal lineups because they were called in over the phone. Last year was the first time I ran into a sticky situation. A work/friends league. Standard 10 man league too. Now last year we had people playing for the 1st time, and some vets playing as well. We had one guy who kept submitting an illegal lineup several times. Even when we tried to help him, by explaining how to fix this situation. Starting players on bye, can be overlooked in some leagues [ even though I hate it]. Same can be said for the whole old strategy of benching a defense when you are up points and opponent has nobody left to play. Issues last year were players that are out with injuries [ not questionable/ doubtful].. What to do when someone plays players that are on the I.R? Now on yahoo, they allow this, with no penalty. Even though it's not exactly ethical, as far as fair play conduct goes. Any links for a clear illegal lineup you know of? Or information you can provide here? Not sure how to handle it this year. I just don't want a million texts/calls regarding this again. Last year the vet's we're getting frustrated with this team either helping or hurting another divisional team with up to 3 or 4 players out in one week. Now in a 10 man league the wire is loaded. So we all had to make sacrifices if we didn't have backup position players. So that we started a legal lineup. I'm not able to find much on the net.

What's the best source of NBA news for last minute lineup changes?

ESPN sports do have one of the reliable source for NBA or anyother US sports information. I follow them quite often. Here is the link, check it out.ESPN: The Worldwide Leader in Sports

I need help with some math problems please?

I am editing this to make sure you know that the other answers posted here are, and I hate to say it, plain wrong. Please do not be misled by the incorrect information :(

Question 1: They are all rational numbers, meaning they can be expressed as a ratio (fraction).

-4 = -4/1.

1/5 is already a fraction.

0.8333.... = (8.3-.8)/9 = 7.5/9 = 75/90 = 5/6.

0.45 = 45/100 = 9/20.

Trick question maybe? An irrational number would be a number like pi or the square root of non-perfect square (i.e. sqrt(2) or sqrt(6), etc.)

Question 2: Steven does 60 drinks in 15 mins, Sue does 30 drinks in 15 mins, Jack does 20 drinks in 15 mins. Therefore working together they do 110 drinks in 15 mins. Set up the fraction equation and cross multiply:

110 drinks.................20 drinks
---------------........= ... ------------------
15 mins.........................x mins

(Sorry for the periods, had a hard time making the fraction line up)

We get 110x=300, or x =30/11 minutes. Converting to seconds gives that x = 60*30/11 seconds, or 163.6363.... seconds, which is 2 minutes and 43.6363...seconds.

Rounding gives the answer of 2 minutes and 44 seconds.

Question 3: Last month had 12 cars sold, this month had 19 cars sold. The increase was 7 cars, so the percentage increase from last month to this month would be

7/12 = .58333... or 58.333...%; rounding gives 58%.

Question 4: (Ignoring the fact that our planet is not flat) we can use the Pythagorean Theorem here. The planes travel for 2 hours. The plane traveling north will travel 150*2 = 300 miles, and the plane traveling west will travel 200*2 = 400 miles. The planes form a right triangle with the airport as the vertex opposite the hypotenuse, and the hypotenuse is the distance between the two planes. To find it's length, use the theorem:

A^2 + B^2 = C^2, where A and B are the legs of the right triangle and C is the hypotenuse. So we have

C^2 = (300)^2 + (400)^2 = 90,000 +160,000 = 250,000

So C = sqrt(250,000) = 500.

Therefore the planes are 500 miles apart.

I hope this helps :)

Six men and six women line up at a counter permutation word problem?

six men and six women line up at a checkout counter in a store in how many ways can they line up if the first person in line is a man and the people in line alternate man woman man woman and so on?

How do planes navigate so they line up with the runway on landing?

You have a starting point (Airport A) and finishing point (Airport B). If you fly between them, there's no guarantee that you'll end up on a path directly in front of the runway when you go to land.

So I can imagine you'd need three navigation points, Airport A, the end of the runway at Airport B, and Turn Point C which a point in line with the runway some distance out.

But here's the question - if you start turning the plane at C you'd have to compensate for the speed of the plane and the rate of turn otherwise you'd not line up. So how do pilots account for this?

Always wondered ... thanks!

I need help doing a boardslide on a snowboard???!!!?

I am okay at doing boardslides, but i am so scared to do them! I usually do fine when i summon enough courage to try, but I am too scared to try often... Sometimes i fall and hurt my tailbone real bad, and that is what scares me! If i try to lean forward to far to fall back my body starts turning, and before i know it i am riding switch on the box/rail! Any suggestions or anything that will make me more confident?

What was Arsene Wenger's rationale behind Arsenal's starting line up and formation (3-5-2/3-4-2-1 not sure which one) against Liverpool at Anfield in the 2017/18 Premier League season?

Arsene Wenger doesn’t work on picking up weakness in the rival teams. I’ve never seen him doing that. Whether they’re against Real Madrid or against Leyton Orient, they do the same things. Results depend upon the quality of the opposition. He somehow stumbled upon 3–4–2–1 or some sort of formation with 3 at the back that momentarily halted their slide last season and won them The FA Cup. This was a great disguise.I think he used the break to start from where they finished off last season. Then there is pre-season which probably got him excited. Then the premier league hits him hard.In all the 3 games so far this season, Wenger has to change his formation from 3 to 4 in the back. This shouldn’t happen in every game. May a few games in an entire season. But when you have to change so much in every match then it is clear that something that is working in training is not working on the game day. This means change. Change something may be in personnel and need not be formation. If nothing this defeat should open up his eyes. They’re no where closer to a top 4 side with Cech, Kos, Ozil and Sanchez in their side. The best chance they had was from mistakes of Karius.Arsene Wenger after the game:Everything. From the first minute to the last minute we were not at the level requested for such a game. Not physically, not technically, not mentally and we were punished. That’s basically it. Of course, you can analyse the chances we gave away, but I just think overall the performance was not at the requested level.Jurgen Klopp after the game:We need to learn we can do things like this every three or four days. We wanted to show it today and prove to ourselves and be spot on from the first second. We wanted to show our ambitions against a very strong side. The performance was perfect and the result was the result of the performance. The two quotes from two managers post game gives an insight on how both approached the game and how it got by.One manager talks about not being ready emotionally, physically, technically where as the other one is emphasizing on learning, showing and proving. The reason for the way Arsenal lined up in whatever formation is summed up in those quotes.Arsene Wenger stuck luck last season out of nowhere with 3 at the back. Instead of thanking stars and moving on, he came to Anfield unprepared continuing where they left off and then find themselves in a never ending circle. That’s his rationale behind today’s performance.

What is the worst thing you nearly did but changed your mind at the last moment?

This was not the worst thing, but the dumbest. I was onboard the USS Sandlance SSN660 stationed in Charleston, SC. It was in port around 1 AM, and the Below Decks watch was practicing ventilation lineups, when he mistakenly closed the Bow Compartment water tight door to “On the latch”. For that particular lineup, the door should have stayed open. I, and another crew member were sitting in the Crew’s Mess talking, when we heard a hissing noise coming from down the passageway. We investigated, and found the door closed. We had heard the announcement for the ventilation change, and knew the door should have been open. What was causing to hissing noise was the build up of pressure on the Bow Compartment side of the door. I had my hand on the handle to open the door, and at the last moment, decided it might be a bad idea, and stepped back from the door. A moment later, a face appeared in the sight glass, and then the door slammed open and shut again in less that a second. A huge cloud of air and dust came out from the Bow Compartment, and when it cleared, the Duty Chief was laying at our feet bleeding from a head wound. He had been shot through the door in the moment between opening and closing. It was not serious, but he was evacuated to the sick bay on the tender. That door weighed 880 lbs, and if I had pulled the handle, it would have killed me in an instant.
