Looking For A Gaming Laptop Around 300 Dollars

What is a good gaming laptop for 400-600 dollars that plays games fairly good?

For 700 dollars, an HP dv7-3065us is a pretty good deal. It has fair battery life, 4 gigs of RAM, a huge screen, and decent graphics. I can run Half-Life 2 perfectly on highest settings. Even more recent games such as Left 4 Dead 2 and Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 run pretty smoothly.

What’s a good gaming laptop between the 400 and 500 dollar range?

Well for gaming you will want a dedicated gpu. Most laptops at $400-$500 do not have this. Without this your games will lag dramatically, have overall poor performance, and most won't even run. There are however a few options above your price range. I would reccomend the Dell Inspiron i7559. It goes for around $700 and can play most modern games on medium settings due to its Nvidia gtx 960m Graphics card. Try and save up, maybe even get a desktop for gaming and a cheap laptop for mobile office work. For more on this check out Linus Tech Tips on Youtube.

Is there a 300 dollar gaming laptop?

In general, when we define "Gaming Laptop" we're talking about hardware that's purpose built to play games. While we could have an argument about "what's a game" and say that Candy Crush is a game (and it is!) and that you can run that on just about anything, Candy Crush isn't what we usually mean when we talk about hardware that's designed to play games.The defining characteristic of a "gaming laptop" is a discrete GPU. Not every laptop with a discrete GPU is a gaming laptop, but every gaming laptop will have a discrete GPU.You cannot buy (new) a gaming laptop with a discrete GPU for $300. In general, the entry level price point for purpose built gaming laptops is $750 (+/- 5%)You can buy some laptops that lack discrete GPUs but feature a higher end Intel Graphics (or AMD Radeon graphics) which is capable of playing modern, less demanding titles on low settings in the $300-$450 range. This is another place where you get very quickly into "what's a game" because some titles have fairly low requirements, and some titles just won't be playable on Intel graphics. Your expectations, however, should be that your selection of titles will be somewhat limited and will exclude many of the popular AAA titles released in the past year or two. $300 laptops are the world of extreme budget options. There are no discrete GPUs at $300 and the CPUs at $300 are fairly limited as well. Screen resolution rarely (if ever) gets all the way up to 1080p and most of the things that make a gaming laptop a good product simply don't happen.As an aside, while I've floated some very draconian budget desktop builds for gaming that come in under $500, I would be hard pressed to put together a viable gaming desktop for as little as $300.

Is it possible to get a decent gaming laptop for under 300 dollars?

How do you define a “gaming” laptop?I have a $400 potato of a laptop but it can play a few games at 60fps on the lowest settings. It barely handles them though, and it’s only with older games like CSGO, TF2, League of Legends, and obviously Minecraft (back in the day of course). I’ve never tried but I’m pretty sure games like Overwatch or GTA would not run well.Clearly if you’re thinking of playing more modern and demanding titles, it would be pretty difficult to make $500 work, let alone $300 for a laptop. Building a desktop on the other hand might be another story.I’ve recently picked up emulation (after getting fed up with the low and inconsistent frames). As you might think, playing older games isn’t that demanding (depending on which games you try) so if you’re into that shit, then $300 might not do you so bad.It’s more than likely $300 would disappoint you so I wouldn’t go looking for anything lower than $700. Having a discrete card is where it’s at. Playing at lowest settings isn’t so bad though, but that’s probably coming from someone used to it for 4 years.

Can anyone refer me to a cheap laptop around 300-400 dollars mostly for school and League of Legends?

Best Gaming Laptop for Under 300?

Funny, really. For $300 the only laptop you could find online would be a netbook but you couldn't find a single laptop at Best Buy or Mircocenter for under $300. And forget about that whole gaming bit. Add a zero to that figure and then we can talk. But honestly expect to pay at the very minimum $750 or $800. When you get that money, look at Asus, they're the best brand. Don't waste your time looking at Alienware, they're trash for the price.

EDIT:
$600 still won't cut it. This is the cheapest laptop you could play games on-

EDIT #2;
For $1000 you're in business. You can get a decent laptop for that much. I would still recommend a desktop since you will get way better specs for the same price. Anyway, here is an excellent choice-

This Asus packs a P8400 which can handle gaming well, the standard 4GB RAM and a 320GB HDD, and then the 9650M GT. This card can play every single game out there. How is this possible? Resolution. Asus was smart enough to realize that since the power of this card is limited, they matched it with a monitor that would allow the system to max out most games and still have it look good. The only game you couldn't make would be Crysis, but it would still be perfectly playable. For $900 this isn't a bad deal.

Can you recommend a good laptop worth under 300 dollars? I prefer one with a touchscreen and a huge memory storage.

What country are you buying it in? My recommendation would be to buy refurbished. Leave out the touch screen and go with a early i5 business class laptop. Fit an SSD and have 8GB of ram.For instance in the UK your budget would get you a Refurbished Toshiba Portege Z30t 240GB SSD Grade B 13.3" Webcam HDMI Touchscreen [Marks on lid] FHDRefurbished Toshiba Portege Z30t 240GB SSD Grade B 13.3" Webcam HDMI Touchscreen [Marks on lid] FHDOr (one of my favorites) a Lenovo Thinkpad X230Refurbished ThinkPad X230 i5-3320M 2.60GHz Grade B 23243E9The reason why I don’t like touchscreens on cheaper computers is that you really sacrifice usability. The backlighting isn’t strong enough for it to work well in bright environments.
