Oh my.. Okay, breathe.. I can answer this..*Disclaimer: It may be a poor example, but I don’t watch horrors in general. I barely watch 18 Rated films. I don’t like to be scared. I don’t like horrors. He’s crying and won’t sleep so she wishes for The Goblin King to take him away by saying ‘I wish the goblins would take you away right now.’ And with that Toby disappears. Into the center of the labyrinth. All I remember about it is that there are a couple of kids that befriend a vampire who teaches them about fire safety. I don't believe it's a show, I think it was a video. I used to watch it when I was young during P.E. when it rained...and it's driving me nuts that I can't find it anywhere! Please help.
In the movie "Interview with a vampire", why did claudia die?
She came to hate Lestat because he had made her a vampire when she was still a child. Her mind grew and developed into womanhood, but her body was always that of a helpless little girl. She died by being placed in the sun - vampires can't withstand sunlight. The REASON she was placed in the sun was supposedly because she had tried to kill Lestat (to kill another vampire is a no-no), but in reality, Armand just wanted her out of the way so he could have Louis to himself.

Here is the answer... Louis and Lestat committed the sin of turning a child (Claudia) into a vampire. It is not required that a vampire kill them-self when they make a new vampire but only adults should be turned. As far as I can remember there was no punishment other than Claudia slowly going insane. Louis and Claudia were punished for attempting to kill Lestat. Claudia and her companion were put to death by sunlight and Louis was entombed for a short time. When Armand releases him Louis he kills all of the other vampires in that coven in revenge for Claudia.
