Looking For Additional Course

Which are the best coursera course if I am looking to get an admission in best b-school in world? I am mechanical engineering student now.

There aren't any best courses in Coursera for a mechanical egineering student in business management. Generally a course in business management comes in handy for working professionals only. For students, its just additional burden. Yes do take up a course if you feel like. But there is no concrete course for you. You can take up these courses so that you can get an idea of what the subject is. Check Operations Research course which started recently in edx (I guess). It will be much more useful to you at this point of time and in future.

I'm looking for suggestions for quick and easy tasty 3 course meals.?

Since I assume you will be feeding those two children before you send them off to bed I will also assume you will be in the kitchen to fix their meal.

While cooking children's dinner

1. Wash 2 baking potatoes and place in oven at 400 F degrees and bake for 1 hour.

2. Place 2 eye round or other steak into a marinade made with red wine/red wine vinegar/olive oil/ spices. You can use a ready made marinade or check your favorite cookbook for same.

3. Make a tossed salad and refrigerate

4. Make blue cheese dressing by combining 1 C mayonnaise with 3 oz good blue cheese, a dash of tobassco sauce and 2 Tbls cream or half and half. You may add additional cream if needed to make it thinner. Add a grind of fresh black pepper when you put it on the salad.

Earlier in the day while the children are napping you could prepare a simple trifle for dessert. The ingredients you will need are as follows
left over cake, any flavor, cubed
pudding, flavor of your choice to go with cake
whipped topping
raspberry or other flavor jam (lemon curd would also work well)
Warm the jam and add either alittle water or liquor of your choice, you want it to be thin enough to drizzle.
Place 1/3 of the cubed cake into a pretty serving dish, drizzle with thinned jam, top with 1/3 of the pudding and 1/3 of the whipped topping. Repeat layers ending with whipped topping. Sprinkle with grated chocolate, nuts or coconuts as you desire. Chill. this can be made in individual dishes if you prefer.

I am a chemical engineer looking to study a certificate course, part time on oil and gas. What are some options and what is the most lucrative course to get into the oil sector?

Well if we talk about oil and gas now a days so it is suffering very badly due to low crude prices and gone are the days of oil and gas boom , people have realized the importance of renewables and sooner or later it will be a major source of energy across the globe. Well being a chemical engineer you can work as a process design engineer or operations engineer in oil and gas . So if you are more inclined towards process designing then try to master the courses offered by Aspen tech whichc include aspen hysys, HTRI and some others like pipesim . Operations engineer dont need some certifications to advance their career they learn from their day to day experiences.I have a suggestion for you and i.e if you want to really looking for a certificate course then simply go for MSc in “Process Safety” . MSc in “Process safety ” is specifically designed for chemical engineers to want to pursue a career in safety not only in oil and gas but in any chemical process industry. The program is only of 1 year and as far as my knowledge is concerned it is offered by 2 universitiesUniversity of aberdeenUniversity of sheffieldThe University of AberdeenMSc(Eng)/Diploma Process Safety and Loss PreventionThanks for reading and feel free to ask anything for clarification

My graduate friend is taking a .NET course and looking for a related software job. What would you suggest him in addition to the course to get a fine grip over .NET since he's an amateur? Are there any helpful online websites for that?

More than grip on .NET, if he can pick up a course on Datastructures and Algorithms first and write a few programs in C++ he will do a world of good to himself.  Directly starting on .NET has certain drawbacks.  You will not be able to understand the merits of memory management/pointers etc.,If he is aware of these, then an additional course on HTML5 will benefit him a lot.If you can clarify on whether he is a graduate from a non-computer science stream doing a course on .NET to get an IT Job, I can provide more pointers.

What are the best courses to pursue along with CA?

Chartered Accountancy or CA is a professional course that requires immense hard work and strong determination. While pursuing a professional course like CA, your primary focus should be on CA only.Anyways,if you want to pursue an additional course alongwith CA then the most preferred choices of CA students are :CA with a Bachelors degree like B. Com or B. com(Honours).CA and CS(Company Secretary) is also a common choice.CA followed by an MBA is also gaining popularity these days.CMA,CPA,CFA etc. are few other options that basically depend upon your own areas of interests.Moreover,the choice of an additional course should be based on how well you can manage different courses simultaneously.

Furthering my SQL skills - individual courses, certification or certificate program?

Currently I'm a financial analyst, but my role has morphed into more data analyst/IT.

The SQL language I use is rather limited (SELECT/FROM/WHERE/GROUP BY/HAVING/ORDER BY, not many functions) so I'm looking into some additional training to bridge the gap between where I am now -- and where I want to be. In a more technical developer/programming role.

But there are SO many options, and I already have a Masters degree in Business Administration so I'm not looking to spend another 2 years in school.

My question is two-fold:
1. What's the best option for me: individual courses, certification (through say Microsoft) or a certificate course
2. Does anyone know of any specific jobs that have SQL/programming function within finance? I'm looking to stay in business but get very technical.

Thank you

What is a 4U course............?

In Ontario high schools, grade 11 and 12 courses are one of five types:

U = University preparation
C = College preparation
M = University/college preparation
W = Workplace preparation
E = Open courses

A "3" designates grade 11 courses and a "4" designates a grade 12 courses. So, a 4U course is a grade 12 university preparation course.
