Looking For The Right Personal Cloud Storage Drive

I am looking for a cheap, free cloud storage system for a team of 5 people. Which system do you recommend?

I can recommend Dropbox, it's the best for teams. You can search for dropbox gigs on Fiverr, some offer very very cheap prices.Short description: "Dropbox for Business takes the consumer product and tacks on unlimited storage, admin tools and user management, unlimited deletion and version history, and a suite of collaboration tools."

Cloud storage vs other online storage?

Cloud storage is just online storage, there isn't a difference between a "cloud" and your own personal spot on a server.

Megaupload and rapidshare is not online storage as much as a temporary spot to share files. At least that's how almost everyone uses them. cloud storage is more like google holding onto your email. It's yours there forever.

Are there any statistics about teenagers using personal cloud storage services like Dropbox, Google Drive, or iCloud?

I've seen and participated in research on this.  The answer? As a group, self-identified moms are simply NOT using personal cloud storage services like Dropbox, Google Drive, or iCloud.Mom's, right now, anyway, ARE using services which store their data for them natively, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, I-tunes, etc.  G-mail and Yahoo mail are popular as well. We've drawn our own conclusions from this research, and I will not poison the well with an opinion on why Mom's are not using products touted as cloud storage.  We think this is a leading indicator.

Is there any private cloud storage system?

depends how much time you wanna invest in building this solution. There isn't a turnkey option that I know of at this time. For unstructured object storage I'd look into openstack, specifically its s3 module.Alternatively you can get something like couchdb, which being http request based will allow you to do e-to-e encryption. Basically anything http based will allow you that, it's one of the great things about leveraging that protocol. For the server side, on a linux server, depending on the level of security, it can be as easy as setting up encrypted partitions with LVM (how you manage the key can also go from easy to very complex).hope that helps,#UPDATED FOR HOME SOLUTIONSBest thing for a home setup is probably ownCloud: ownCloud.orgit's a full cloud service not just file sharing, but you can use that service only if you wish and it's turnkey (and support encryption as you asked)It's free software, with a hosted option, but you can run your own which is unbeatable. Have several friends using and happy with it.

How do I create my own cloud storage with my own hosting?

Take a look at remoteStorage ‒ An open protocol for per-user storage on the Web itis a technology to store your own data in your own way. To use it, you would need to install one of the implementation of it on your own server. Then you can have similar capabilities such as google drive etc. depending on whether the app supports itAnother solution is to use http://owncloud.comThat is roughly similar to Dropbox. They have a free system too from why I remember lastThen there is Syncthing which is open source and can be used on a server as a permanent store

GTA V - not enough storage?

Unless you have more than 8GB free on some memory you use for your Xbox 360, you can't do the mandatory install of the first disk of the game to play it. Those few games shouldn't be eating up dozens of GBs, so I think it might be likely that you have the 4Gb flash memory model, which wouldn't work unless you add more memory. And if you do add more memory, don't get a 8GB flash drive for example, as you wouldn't be able to use all of that memory, still leaving you in the same problem.

What are some good ways to organize an external hard drive?

Create several partitions on the drive, one for games, another for music, another for documents etc.Even if you decide to put everything in folders as suggested by others, chances are that within a month or two it will be all messed up again. If you have a few partitions things will still be "messy" but at least within each type of content.Cloud storage is very nice in theory, but, if you have a lot of files to store, soon you will find yourself with a monthly payment. And yes, it sounds cheap 2 bucks a month for 50GB, but suppose you have 2 Terabytes of data, that will add up to 20x2 dollars a month. A big hard drive is much cheaper, actually, several big external drives is still cheaper. And do not forget the time it would take to send 1 or 2 or 3 Tbs to the cloud.OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive and Box: Which cloud storage service is right for you? If you have a big company and can afford it, yes, its one solution. But remember, you can create your own cloud. With the proper router and some time spent on it, you can create your own private cloud storage device. How to set up your own personal home cloud storage system
