Lost 15 Pounds And I Look Really Skinny Now Will Gaining 6 Pounds Back Make A Difference

Ok i am 5'6 and 123 pounds, but i am really super skinny but when ppl ask me what i weigh i feel like i am fat?

Don't try to lose weight. I did try to lose weight about a year ago and I had lot of muscles from dance. I dropped a lot of weight but it was mainly muscle weight that I lost and I did not look as lean as I started out. Also I couldn't eat as much as I used to be able to eat, since muscle burns calories even while resting. So I basically shot down my metabolism. When I went to the doctor, she made me put on the weight that I had lost and I gained it all back as FAT and it's really hard trying to build muscle again from scratch. So keep doing what you're doing. Everyone else is right, go by how your clothes fit you. Muscle does weight a lot more than fat.

Can 5 pounds make a difference?

yes that cn

i got some tips that i figured through my long termed diet and that way u can eat more!
Drink a lot of water
DON'T eat any food for 3hours after u exercise
dont take cold showers after exercising tht will stop ur metabolism
eat a lot of vegetable and fruit before main food so u wont be hungry and u will eat less
2glasses of water after each meal
dont eat food for an hour before u sleep
im a 15
year old girl and im on a diet, all that stuff i told u work
also exercise
dont eat junk food and chocolate and pizza and soda
visit bodybuilding.comyohgurt is great and won't make u gain weight but too much bread will
but a small amount of bread is fine
u can't eat everything u want and don't gain weight cuz that would probably be like this only in heaven and in the ideal world but we're not living in it...so yh

calcium and protein
Swimming running dancing jump rope
cycling stretching
vegetable green tea before each meal

ps:Dont starve urself.Cuz ur metabolism will be low and it wont make a difference at all cuz ull gain all that weight back And u'll have ur hair falling out and that's not worth it.I also had a lot of other problems
so just eat less but normal

Good luck!!hope it helps u:)

Will I look skinny by starving myself?

So I've tried starving myself before and it worked out perfectly. In just a couple of weeks I was being told by my 8 year old male cousin that I looked as if I've lost 10 pounds and how great I look. I started noticing the difference myself. Thin stomach, smaller neck and face, thinner arms, a slight difference in leg size (they're not big, they're medium). I also realized I was looking like more of a girl since I was getting thinner, I look girlier and older. Of course it wasn't THAT easy but I found myself something to keep me distracted, motivated, and something to keep the thought of food away. I ended up losing 17 pounds and let me tell you.. It made the BIGGEST difference in my appearance. Last year on New Year's Eve my cousin came to visit from California and she bought chips, cookies, soda, etc. and I just gave in. I stopped weighing myself, I figured "Hey! It's New Year's , time to take a load-off". Looks like it wasn't really worth it because I went back to weighing 120 but luckily I started starving myself as in eating less and it's been doing great things! I'm now back to 112 and I plan to continue this process until I've reached my goal 102-105. I know starving yourself can lead to dying, sicknesses but I'm eating breakfast and lunch. I'm having a sandwich for breakfast and whatever's cooking up for lunch. Maybe I'll have a snack or something when I get hungry but that's all. What can doing this lead to? Don't lie please.

How can a skinny guy gain weight and develop a fit body?

So its time to hit some heavy weight training ...At your age my weight is around 49kg and after trying hard for around a year i gained about 15kg  ..having 67kg at current ...total lean muscle ... and six abs too..So first off all you have to make strict desciplanary daily routine to enrolled with in both diet and weight training ..It should contain some heavy .. means really heavy compound exercises and lots of carb-protien diet .. you should able to consume at least 3000/3500 cal a day mostly from clean carb and protien based diet .. and you could not consume such high calories unless heavy weight training. Be clear do not enrolled with Isolation exercises it will contradict your muscle rather than expanding it will tone them ..Train only one muscle group per day .. that way it will help them to recover faster .. as ex.MON : ShouldersTUE : ChestWED : TricepsTHU : Thighs [Its necessary to hit thighs .. so it will boost testosterone level which help to recover quicker and enhance stamina]FRI : BackSAT : BicepsSUN : Abs And after each and every workout drink protien shake ... otherwise as beginner just plain milk with chocolate syrup and a banana.Break down your meal to 6 small meals per day .. and each 3 meal should contain Protiens size of your fist .. like Chicken, fish etcInclude Eggs in your diet like 6Eggs/dayDo not suppliment your body untill you get used to heavy weight training for more than 4 months ... otherwise its just waste all efforts and money.Drink another protien shake right before going to bed .. for first 4 months plain milk would be good enough ..It will show results beyond your expectation .. and after 4 months of strictness.. iam talking about very strict training ... if you willing to go on supplimainting like Mass Gainer or Whey protien ... your body gonna get ripped lean masculine with quality of weight gained .Wish you all d best ..

How long do I have starve myself to lose weight? I am actually overweight. I am a guy not an anorexic chick. How long will it take to lose 1 pound? 10 pounds?

If you are overweight, and you don’t eat for 1 day, you will be at least 1 pound lighter by the next day. You actually have a higher chance of being 2–3 pounds lighter by the next day if you don’t eat anything. If you don’t eat anything for a week, you’ll probably lose around 10 pounds. Now here’s the kicker; You will gain the majority of it back as soon as you eat again. By the time you’ve gone through that week, your body is going to be in a different state. It’ll realize it hasn’t been eating, and it will greatly slow down your metabolism, making you very slow and weak. It’s going to be hard to even stand up by that point. Because of this, your ability to lose weight will drastically go down. Week 1 you may lose 10 pounds, week 2 you’re more likely to lose 2–3 pounds.Since your body will be so much weaker, you have a far greater chance of catching infections. You’re being constantly bombarded by viruses and bacteria, but a healthy body can easily fight the majority of them off, and cause you no problems. If you’re starving yourself, though, then your body gets weaker to things like that. If you go for 2 weeks, you’re at a very high chance of getting sick, and your body won’t be able to fight it off because it has no energy, and you have a very high chance of getting pneumonia. After that, unless you eat and heal up, you have a high chance of dying after around 4 weeks of not eating. So, don’t starve yourself. Instead, get a diet app on your phone and track all the food and calories you’re eating. It will tell you what a good amount of food to be eating will be. Follow that, and you’ll lose around 1–2 pounds per week for as long as you can stay on the program.

Dropped 22lbs weight but can't see any difference?

I am a teen, 5'8" and I weigh 165 pounds. I used to weigh 187lbs but I've managed to drop 22lbs recently.

I don't want to go below 143lbs but I also don't have any motivation as I've dropped so much and at my height/weight ratio I shouldn't be this fat. I am just about 25% body fat. How is this possible that I've lost so much weight yet I don't look any different ?

I am really depressed as it just seems like I won't ever lose this fat or the only option to do so would be to go anorexic and start building muscle from there. I know so many people that are my height + weight and don't look fat at all yet I look obese + have lipomastia.

What should I do ?

Im 15 and Weigh 240 Pounds. How can i lose weight?

Few things

-You're brother may be super skinny, but there are a few factors: hes older (believe me I was round and stumpy in high school, and i weigh about 20 pounds more now at 23 but I look really skinny--your growth will even things out. Your brother is also probably ridiculously out of shape--he may be skinny, but be all body fat (my situation as well). Drinking will dehydrate you, add calories, induce rage and hangovers, and cause you to pee A LOT. So he may be living it up now, but in another few years (like one of my friends, his skinniness will turn into a beer gut (nasty!)). Also, everyone's just different.

-I say you may be gaining weight because you are building muscle, it doesnt look like muscle because its under the fat and just making you bulky.

-Quitting drinking soda is an awesome choice! It will help you lose faster I promise.

-Running is good, but any cardio will work--in the summer, try to swim--works the whole body and is easy on your joints. Just remember cardio, and wait until you lose some more before doing muscle/strength training. Youtube has some great cardio workouts that you can do at home too.

-Eating: Don't put yourself into starvation mode by not eating anything. Trick your body into feeling full but without the calories. I did and am currently on South Beach. The first time I did it, i lost about 12 pounds in 2 weeks, and i ddnt suffer to do it. I cut out carbs and sugar (yea even fruits), for two weeks, and then slowly introduced whole wheat and fruit back in, in moderation. The recipes will keep you full and theres really almost no restriction on how much you can eat since to eat 2,000 cals of vegetables would have you eating like...all day. Eat like 6 portions a day and you wont feel hungry. South beach has great recipe books, but you can modify almost anything to fit the rules when youre at restaurants

-Most importantly, sleep well, exercise, eating right, and doing things that make you happy. If you focus on losing pound for pound, its like watching a pot waiting for water to boil. If you give yourself a nice long timeline, and dont beat yourself up for slipping up, the weight will come off

AND, if it doesnt after all this, you may have water retention problems, or other medical needs as someone else says. Best thing is to see a doctor now and ask him/her what will help. they are professionals after all!
